JS Academy Pilot
The Justice Society of America are the pinnacle of what superheroes can be. The name alone is enough to strike fear into the hearts of criminals everywhere. however things change, eventually more powered individuals began to emerge. In hopes of making sure none of these new kids turned to the dark side or got themselves hurt the members of the JSA opened JSAcademy, a place to train the heroes of Tomorrow.
In this school only the JSA members knew the students secret identities. In classes the students would go by their hero aliases, they were of course welcome to tell their friends who they really are but the Justice Society had known that many would like to keep their anonymity.

"Come on kid! You've proven you can take a punch, go for the offense!" Wildcat, the JSAcademy's hand to hand combat teacher spoke as he threw another punch. The rest of the class was watching the two as they fought in the ring. Wildcat was of course going easy on the kid.
(Y/n) let the punch's hit him, they of course didn't do much to him due to the near invulnerability of his rubberlike skin. "I feel bad trying to hurt an old man"
"Well any more comments like that and I'll take you down just for that, no matter how close to invincible you think you are" Wildcat growled as he threw another punch.
(Y/n) quickly dodged and grabbed Wildcats arm before he could pull it back. He was quick to try and flip the feline based hero but Wildcat quickly proved more slippery than the boy expected and pulled his hand back. "That was a good try" Wildcat nodded before getting out of his fighting stance, (y/n) did the same. "On a less experienced opponent it would have worked" Wildcat stretched out his muscles. "Class is about to end. Go get yourself something to drink"
"Will do" (y/n) walked over to the mini fridge by the door and opened it before pulling out a water. "I'll beat you next time"
"Not a chance kid" Wildcat smirked before pointing towards the students. "Only Canary has been able to do that and I've been training her much longer than the rest of you. Even then that was only once"
"We could go again right now if you want to make that twice" The Blonde student piped up as she cracked her knuckles.
Just then the bell rang, signifying that the class was over. "Next time little bird" the teacher smiled before looking at the rest of the class. "Scram"
The class was quick to get out of the room. (Y/n) walked slower than the others so he was a bit behind the group. Canary noticed this and stood still until the boy was walking past her. "For an old guy he definitely still fights like he could still be in the ring" (y/n) spoke after a moment of silence as canary began walking beside him.
"He's Ted Grant, world's best boxer. He has that title for a reason" Canary spoke as she shrugged. "Uncle Ted goes easy on you guys, not me. The only reason I've beaten him is because he's no longer in his prime"
"You trying to make me feel bad about losing to an old man or are you bragging?" (Y/n) asked as he tilted his head.
The Black Canary just smirked before speeding up. "I'll see you tomorrow Badger" she turned a corner quickly as (y/n) kept walking forward.

A couple minutes later (y/n) was walking through the dorm building. He approached his room and grabbed the door handle before opening it. He walked inside closed the door before quickly taking his domino mask off. He took one last sip of his water before throwing the bottle away.
The boy stood still for a moment before rolling his eyes. "I'm back!" He called out as he looked towards the bedroom. "You two better not have done anything on my side of the room!" It suddenly became much quieter.
(Y/n) watched impatiently as the door opened. "Don't worry" the first to exit the room was Jesse Chambers, AKA Liberty Belle, who also happened to throw something that the boy quickly caught. "Just playing cards" the boy looked down to see what she had thrown was indeed a half empty box of cards. Her boyfriend and (y/n)'s roommate, Hourman AKA Rick Tyler, was next to exit the room.
"Mhm" (y/n) rolled his eyes unconvinced. "Can't you do that in your room?"
Jesse shrugged. "I'd need to ask the Kid. Not sure how she feels about boys in our room. She'd probably act the same way you are"
"Then she must be the smart one" (y/n) replied as he crossed his arms and tried not to inhale. "But I have super smell and I'm assuming she doesn't"
"Oh" Hourman's face turned red under his mask as he realized what his roommate was implying.
"Yeah, I can smell everything" (y/n) said simply as he rubbed his face tiredly. "I just finished with Wildcats class and I smelled less sweat in there than I do coming from you two and our room"
"Okay, okay. Just stop talking and never say that again" Liberty Belle begged as she covered her eyes with her hand and groaned.
"Go shower" (y/n) ordered Rex as he motioned to the bathroom. "We've got patrol tonight downtown"
"I remember" Rick nodded in response. He gave the hour glass on his chest a gentle flick. "Been saving it. Really missed it in Flash's class"
Jesse quickly frowned at the boy. "I don't think you're supposed to use powers in track"
"I don't think Rick much cares" (y/n) replied as Rick just shrugged. "Anyways I have to meet up with Green Lantern after that"
"Aha!" Rick smirked. "So that's your type"
(Y/n)'s face scrunched with disgust at the thought. "He's around a hundred years old Rick"
"That's not counting all the time travel stuff. He's like sixty" Jesse was quick to interject with a teasing smirk. "And some people like older men. We don't judge"
"Well not me" (y/n) replied as he crossed his arms. "Since I'm the one who reported that Grundy is back from the dead he offered to let me tag along"
"Wait why's he going against Grundy?" Jesse asked with a confused look. "His ring doesn't work well on him"
"Yeah but he's GL's villain" Rick replied with a shrug.
"But-" she just shook her head. "Never mind. I don't know why I expect you two to have the answers"
"I don't know why you did either" (y/n) shrugged as Rick made his way to the bathroom as he took his cowl off.
—————————————————————
"Oh shit" Rick spoke as he and (y/n) looked down from the top of the building they were on and watched as Solomon Grundy walked down Main Street.
"Guess we'll be taking him down now" (y/n) shrugged. "Things rarely go to plan" he pulled his phone from his pocket and sent a quick text to Obsidian, GL's son. He'd tell his dad to come meet them.
"Guess so" Rick nodded before quickly flipping his hour glass, beginning his hour of superpowers for the day. He quickly jumped off the building and landed on Grundy, his super strength causing the two of them to fall through the ground and into the sewers.
(Y/n) stared down at them and watched as Grundy pushed Rick off of him. "Guess I'll take the stairs" he turned back the way they came and ran through the door into the building.
By the time (y/n) had gotten to the fight Grundy had thrown Rick through the wall of the building they had just previously been on top of. "Need a hand?" (Y/n) asked cockily as he cracked his knuckles before his fingernails grew into sharp claws.
Before Rick could reply Grundy roared and started running at them. "Come and get me big guy!" (Y/n) snarled at the monster.
Rick watched in disbelief as the monster ran into his roommate, only not flattening him because the boy had been smart enough to jump and grab a hold of the zombies face with his claws.
"Need a hand?" The two heroes glanced up, just as Grundy grabbed (y/n) and threw him into a building. (Y/n) was only a bit stunned by this. He was more surprised that his lantern mentor used the same words as him as a giant flaming green hand wrapped itself around Grundy and held him still.
(Y/n) was quick to get up and run back at Grundy. He growled as he jumped onto the zombies face again and head butted him. "Back down!" He made a rattling noise coming from his throat which had the intended effect and startled Grundy, making him stop trying to resist Green Lantern's ring.
Rick quickly walked up to Grundy and smacked him upside the head, knocking him unconscious. The lantern landed and the flaming hand disappeared. "Seems like you two had this handled" he nodded as he looked down at Grundy. "Barely needed me"
"I always forget how exhilarating a real fight can be" (y/n) smirked as he enjoyed the boost of adrenaline. "Even if this was mostly Rick, and he definitely would have beaten him on his own if given enough time"
"It was a team effort" Rick replied as he looked down at his hourglass. "Although it was mostly me. Kinda disappointing I wasted my hour for the day on such a short fight"
"The night's still young" GL replied. "And you two still have some time left on your patrol"
"I'll leave it to you next time" (y/n) patted his friend on the back. He then quickly looked over to the lantern again. "Sorry to get you out here for this"
"You did the right thing" the red shirted hero replied as he shook his head. "But I have to go. I was helping The Star-Spangled Kid learn to better target her powers" He was quickly surrounded by green flames as he began flying again.
"Bye" (y/n) nodded at the man who curtly nodded back before quickly flying off. (Y/n) quickly looked at Rick. "I thought the Star-Spangled Kid was dead"
"There's a new one" Rick replied with a shrug. "She's Jesse's new roommate"
"Oh" (y/n) nodded before looking down. "What do we do with Grundy?"
—————————————————————
Since they had beaten Grundy earlier (y/n) no longer needed to meet up with Green Lantern. Because of that he quickly made his way back to his room alongside Rick as soon as their patrol was over.
By the time they had gotten back Rick was just about out of power. He used what time he had left to move their couch to a place they had decided along with Jesse that it would work better.
(Y/n) pulled off his hat and mask before laying on the couch and covering himself in his cape like a blanket. "You doing anything else tonight?"
"Sleeping" Rick replied as he pulled off his hood. "You?"
"Well I was supposed to hang out with wildcat" the boy considered his words before adding "the second one"
"The chick?" (Y/n) nodded. "Ah. Good for you"
"Yeah" (y/n) nodded once more. "But she ended up needing to go home for the week"
"So nothing tonight then?" Rick asked, prompting a shake of the head from the boy. "Alright then" Rick spoke before walking towards their bedroom. "Shut the light off in here when you're done. And be quiet when you head to bed"
"I know the drill" (y/n) nodded as he watched Rick close the door behind himself. He could smell that Jesse had changed the sheets in their room after what had happened this afternoon and for that he was truly grateful.
