Dirty Kitchen
Dedicated to AuroraBorealis9 for suggesting the idea of this poem.

Mommy wakes up
On a normal day
Everything's good
Life seems okay
She gets out of bed
Kids are not around
Morning is too quiet
“Weird, there's no sound!”
With a funny feeling
Mommy sneaks outside
She hears a little noise
“Kids, where’d you hide?”
Kids come running
Hands dirty white
Wearing stained Jammies
Eyes with joy bright
“Mommy, mommy
Close your eyes
Mommy, follow us
It's a surprise”
Kids pull their mother
Through the kitchen door
Mommy opens her eyes
Meet the third world war
Everything is frosted
Covered in white flour
Kitchen's upside down
By a mystic power
Kids’ hands are sticky
Looks like mayonnaise!
Mommy goes in shock
Cleaning will take days
Children giggle and run
To the smudgy fridge
Pasty lump comes out
Melting round the edge
“Look what we've made
To make you happy today
We baked a yummy cake
Just for your birthday…
Mommy's eyes water
Her heart swelling up
Holds her kids and says
“Time to clean it up!”

Sorry about the delay but I hope you enjoyed this one AuroraBorealis9
You suggested a few ideas a long time ago (dirty kitchen... Kids' dirty hands and clothes) and I tried to include them in one piece. :D
**Sometimes, things that seem ugly and dirty are actually the most wonderful blessing in our lives. A dirty kitchen filled with love and memories is one of the Unugly blessings we have.. :))
Much love
