Atop the Crystal Island, the Overlord sat on his throne with his eyes closed, listening to the sound of the people's cries. Everything was according to plan; the Overlord opens his eyes and calmly stares into the large purple eyes of a dragon whose face was inches from his own.

"For a large dragon, you're quite quiet," the Overlord states. "I'm impressed."

The dragon opens its jaws and the Overlord jumps away, avoiding getting his head bitten off. The Overlord sighs as he calmly turns back to her.

"Must we fight?" The Overlord asks, "We are father and daughter, Aria."

The dragon transforms back into Aria, who stares at her father with a bored expression.

"Your constant yapping in my head gave me a headache while you were gone father," Aria tells him. "Your so-called bonding wasn't exactly in good taste, that was quite rude."

"Well, you did leave your poor father to die," the Overlord replies. "That was quite rude of you too."

"Then we are both at fault," Aria replies with a smile. "So, do your daughter a favor and die please."

"I'm afraid I cannot do that dear," the Overlord chuckles. "You see, as a father I want what's best for my child, and I think it's in your best interest that you die. You don't want to live through this now, it would be so painful for you."

"Let's agree to disagree on the matter then," Aria says as her eyes turn purple.

"Let's," the Overlord agrees as his crystal staff glows.

A wind blows past the two as they stood still, waiting for the other to make the first move. The Overlord shifts his eyes down as a star symbol appears on the ground. He jumps away from it before chains shoot out and reach up to grab him.

The Overlord blasts the chains before turning around to see Aria behind him, a murderous look in her eyes. His eyes widen before he is smacked down into his temple, a crater forming underneath him. Aria creates a dark energy ball in her hand before shooting the beam at him.

The Overlord simply deflects it, and it shoots into a nearby building, splitting it in half. The Overlord laughs as he stands up. The building falls to the ground behind them as the darkness around them pulses.

"You cannot defeat me," the Overlord tells her. "Not with these petty tricks, we are equal in every way!"

"Are we really?" Aria tilts her head.

"Oh yes," the Overlord chuckles. "Except my mother is still alive."

Aria's eyes went from purple to black in an instant, the Overlord looked shocked before Aria rocketed straight into him. He slammed back into his own crystal before falling to the ground. He chuckles slightly as he looked up to see her hands changing entirely, into one that's not human.

"You say I'm the monster," the Overlord stood up. "But you my child, are the true monster."

"It takes one to make one," Aria replies, her voice sounding more demonic.

"What about your image you were so worried about?" The Overlord gestures to the city. "Aren't you afraid your precious idol image will be destroyed, seeing who you truly are." He laughs cruelty "Nobody will love you anymore!"

"That's where you're wrong," Aria cracks her neck. "There's always one person, who will love me."

"Y-You don't even know what love is!" the Overlord shouts in a panic.

"I do now," Aria replies.

"Die you brat!" The Overlord charges an attack.

Aria puts her hand out as the attack fully charged, right before it fired the Overlord was kicked in the face, making him stumble back. Aria tilts her head, seeing Garmadon standing before her.

"You started without me!"

Aria looks behind her to see Lloyd climbing up onto the Crystal temple.

"Lloydie?" Aria questions.

"Hey..." Lloyd stood up on the structure "When did you get back dear?"

"Not long ago," Aria replies.

"Why are you two so casual about this?!" Garmadon turns to the two.

"I'm used to her popping up randomly," Lloyd replies.

Garmadon points at Aria. "And why does your Oni form look so much cooler than mine?! Just because you're a dragon too, not fair!"

"Sucks to suck," Aria replies sticking her tongue out.

"Woah," Lloyd says "Why does your voice sound like that? Not that I'm complaining..." He mutters to himself "Kinda hot actually."

"Focus dear," Aria turns his head back to the Overlord who was standing up.

"Great now there's more!" The Overlord shouts. "Garmadon, you have chosen to fight with the ninja?!"

"Yes, that's why I just attacked you," Garmadon replies sarcastically.

"Then, you all will perish!" The Overlord growls.

The Overlord gathers crystals around him, Aria and Lloyd stand together as Garmadon walks backwards to them.

"That's not good," Garmadon says.

The Overlord emerges in the form of a centaur.

"Oh, wow, so impressed." Aria claps, her voice completely monotone.

"Is this really the time to be mocking him?!" Garmadon shouts.

"It's always a time to mock the Overlord," Lloyd replies.

Aria nods before the three of them scatter to avoid the Overlord's attack.

"You can't beat me!" The Overlord laughs.

On the ground, the ninja along with Zero and the royal guards, battle the Crystal army.

"There's too many!" Jay shouts in a panic.

"My powers," Cole looks down at his hands "They're gone!"

"Mine too!" Jay turns to him.

"They're getting too close! Your powers will no longer work!" Wu tells them.

"Look out!" Nya pushes Jay out of the way. 

Behind them, Ultra Violet, Killow, and Ronin are crystalized. Zero releases all his aura at once and sends a shockwave through the crystal warriors, shattering a few, and causing cracks to others. Zero pants as he stabs his sword into the ground, holding onto it for support.

"Zero!" Wu runs over to him.

"It wasn't enough," Zero grips his sword.

"You can't destroy all of them," Wu tells him.

Suddenly, the Shintarians arrive to help and pushed back the approaching crystal warriors.

"Need a hand!" Vania smiles.

"Vania!" Zero looks up at her surprised.

Vania landed beside him and helped him stand "I gotcha this time big guy, told you we'd come.

Zero smiles as he and the over ninja look around. On the other side, the Keepers and the Merlopians join the fight.

"For King Benthomaar of the Endless Sea! Charge!"

"The Merlopians!" Jay turns to Nya looking excited "Nya, your message reached them!"

The Serpentine emerge from a manhole to help fight too.

"And the Serpentine?" Kai questions in confusion.

The sound of cannon fire rang out as more crystal warriors fell to the ground.

"Yo!"

The ninja looks up to see a female pirate jump down to the group while the rest of her crew rushed off to fight.

"Milly!" Jay and Cole shout happily before turning to look at each other confused. "Huh?"

"Who?" Nya questions looking at Kai, who shrugs.

"Whattup big brother," the girl, Milly smiles to Jay before looking at Cole. "Darling."

"Big brother?!" "Darling?!"

The two ninjas look at each other again. Before the two could question each other, Nya gasps.

"The scroll!" Nya shouts "Remember? Only if the allies unite!"

Kai gasps in understanding "This is the moment the scroll prophesied!"

"So, what does that mean?" Jay asks.

"It means Quanish was right for once." Wu turns to them "You must do it now! You must attempt Dragon Form again!"

The ninja nod to each other before getting in position.

"Jump up!"

"Kick back!"

"Whip around!"

"And ... spin!"

The four ninja spin and glow golden, achieving Dragon Form. The ninja tackles the generals and the Vengestone Guards. Zane takes on Mister F and reclaims a Shuriken of Ice while the others go to reclaim their weapons.

On top of the Crystal Island, Aria, Lloyd, and Garmadon fought the Overlord together.

"Stop him! Don't let him reach the crystal!" Lloyd shouts.

The Overlord strikes Garmadon down, Aria avoided the attack and pushed back her father, while Lloyd ran to Garmadon.

"Father!" Lloyd saves him from being crushed by a crystal and holds him in his arms "You're hurt."

Garmadon gasps "I — I can't ..."

"It's okay." Lloyd says "Don't try to talk."

Garmadon reverts out of his Oni form "I.. I'm sorry, Lloyd."

"Hold on, you'll be okay." Lloyd looks around "I'll get you out of here!"

"Save.." Garmadon coughs "Save yourself. It's too late for me."

"No," Lloyd cries before looking back over at the Overlord.

Aria was on the ground, holding back the Overlord's staff as he was attempting to strike her through. Lloyd achieves his Oni Form in anger and attacks the Overlord, knocking him away from Aria. Aria turns to Lloyd who was about to attack again, he was stopped by Aria hugging him around the waist.

"Lloyd stop!" Aria shouts.

"Let me go, I'm going to-" Lloyd stops when he sees his reflection.

"This isn't you," Aria tells him as her eyes shift back to green.

Lloyd reverts back to his human form as he turns to look at Aria, who was still in her Oni form.

"Why did you stop me?" Lloyd asks.

"...cause I don't want you to turn into me," Aria replies as she releases him.

Lloyd smiles to her.

"Fool!" the Overlord blasts Lloyd off the temple.

Aria's eyes instantly turned black as she charged at her father, only to be knocked away. A surge of power shoots upward from Ninjago and meets Lloyd as he falls from the temple. The Overlord creates the biggest energy ball that radiated darkness as he approached Aria who looked up at him from the ground.

"You chose the wrong side!" The Overlord fires at her.

Just then, Lloyd reappears on the Golden Ultra Dragon completely blocking the attack.

"What?!" The Overlord growls. "Impossible!"

Aria stood up from the ground as she stared up at Lloyd.

"I won't let you hurt my family anymore!" Lloyd shouts at the Overlord, before narrowing his eyes at him "That includes my wife."

Aria smiles as Lloyd's golden power charges.

"Aria, help me!" Lloyd calls out to her. "I need you to hold him!"

"Certainly darling," Aria laughs as she snaps her fingers.

A star appears underneath the Overlord, dark chains reach up and wrap around his body before he could jump away again.

"No!" The Overlord growls at Aria. "I made you! Your powers belong to me! Everything you have is because of me you ungrateful child!"

"You should see the look on your face father..." Aria laughs darkly. "Do you know what that feeling you feel is?" The Overlord's eyes widen as Aria smirks. "It's fear."

Lloyd's golden energy fires, the Overlord shouts as he and his crystals begin to shatter. All over the city, the crystals break off as the Overlord is defeated. Lloyd's dragon disappears and he lands beside Aria.

Aria puts her hand over her chest, as she felt something inside of her shatter as well. Lloyd looks over at her as she smiles, transforming back into her human form. Lloyd's eyes widen, seeing Aria's once dimly lit eyes, shine as bright as emeralds now.

"Farewell," Aria mutters. "Father."

Lloyd hugs Aria tightly, and she hugs him back.

"Alright love birds, break it up." Garmadon stands beside them, and the two jump. "Let's get out of here before the place explodes."

Lloyd looks at him "You—"

"What?" Garmadon asks.

"You're not dying?" Lloyd questions.

"Of course not," Garmadon replies.

"You were faking?!" Lloyd shouts annoyed.

"I was helping you achieve your Oni Form!" Garmadon argues.

"I didn't need Oni Form! It didn't even work!" Lloyd shouts.

"It would have, if you hadn't been scared by your own reflection!" Garmadon rolls his eyes.

"Alright you two," Aria separates them "let's get going."

Aria transforms into a dragon and the two hop on her back. They fly away safely as the temple collapses. Back on the ground everyone stood together cheering. Aria lands on the ground, Lloyd and Garmadon jumps off.

"Lloyd!" Jay hugs Lloyd.

The other ninja run to hug him as Aria transforms back into her human form.

"Aria!" Zero ran to hug her but stopped right before he did. "Uh, happy to see your-"

Zero's eyes widened when Aria hugged him, smiling happily.

"Zero!" Aria shouts happily.

The ninja turns to Aria, seeming equally shocked. Her usual bored tone and expression, everything about her demeanor seemed to have changed. It was like she was her idol persona, but it felt real this time.

"...sis," Zero smiles as he hugs her tightly, a tear forming in his eye, "Welcome back."

Aria looks around at everyone's surprised faces "What?"

"Um, nothing," Cole replies.

Aria looks at Lloyd who smiles to her before shrugging.

"So, what do we do now?" Cole asks.

"What we always do," Wu looks at him "Rebuild."

At the Monastery, the ninja attempt to lift the broken door.

"A little more!" Kai calls out.

"It's slipping!" Lloyd shouts.

"Oh, no!" Cole pulls harder.

Jay and Nya rush to help, and they succeed.

"That's a start." Kai says looking around.

"At this pace, it will require 12 years, 8 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days to rebuild the monastery." Zane tells them.

"Thanks for the pep talk, Zane," Kai says sarcastically. "You always know what to say."

Dareth arrives behind them, panting heavily "Wow... that's... a lot of steps. You guys should consider... putting in an elevator!"

The ninja all looks at him confused.

"Dareth? What are you doing here?" Kai asks.

"I figured you could use some help, so I, heh, brought a few friends." Dareth replies with a smile

The ninja looks surprised as members of the Resistance enter the monastery to help rebuild. Soon enough Aria, Zero, and Reika appear at the end. Lloyd wanted to say something but stopped when Aria put her hand over his mouth. Kai and Nya walked slowly toward their sister.

"R-Reika?" Nya asks in shock.

"Is that really you?" Kai asks, his eyes forming tears.

"Mhm," Reika nods nervously.

The two hug their sister taking her by surprise, soon enough the three united siblings were crying.

"Aren't we going to tell them?" Lloyd whispers to Aria. "You know right?"

"Don't you dare," Aria replies as she grabs his arm. "We can keep that secret between us, okay?"

Lloyd takes her hand and intertwines their fingers "Okay."

Everyone was quickly getting to work on rebuilding the monastery.

"Remarkable," Wu looks around at all the people with a smile. "Simply remarkable."

Lloyd and Aria walked towards the other ninja together, holding hands.

"What do you think now Zane?" Lloyd asks. "You think this place will be built soon enough for a wedding?"

"Hm," Zane looks around. "With this much help the monastery will be-"

"Wedding?!" the other ninja interrupts, turning to the two.

Aria smiles as her and Lloyd look at each other. The ninja immediately erupted into excited cheers as they tacked the two in a hug. Wu smiles as he watches them with Zero standing beside her.

"About time!" Kai shouts.

"What took you so long Lloyd?!" Nya questions.

Aria giggles as Lloyd rubs the back of his neck embarrassed. The ninja hug Aria together.

"Welcome to the family!"
