"Welcome back to the show Aria, the last time you were here was quite a while ago. You are all that anyone can talk about for the last year. Tell me, how are you feeling to be back on the face of every magazine?"

Aria sat on the couch in front of Gayle, on her talk show, the camera zoomed in on Aria's face as she answered.

"Well, I'm very excited to be back on the stage Gayle." Aria replies with a smile. "As for being the talk of the town, I really don't have an opinion. While many of the public still sees me as a criminal, my name has been clear for a long time. My passion is music, and regardless of how many people fill the stands, I will continue to perform with my whole heart."

"Spoken like a true idol," Gayle replies "speaking of passion, rumors are that you and the green ninja are an item. When your criminal scandal took place almost two years ago, he was seen at your side shielding you from the public eye. You have been sighted alongside him despite the ninja no longer being active since the loss of the water ninja. In the past you had claimed the two of you are friends, does that claim still stand?"

"No Gayle, it actually does not." Aria replies "The rumors are true, for a few years now Lloyd the green ninja and I have been an item. I couldn't have done any of this without the support of him and the other ninja. I am truly grateful that they have come into my life, and we are severely broken by the loss of Nya as was the rest of the city."

The tv switches off and Lloyd turns his head to see Aria standing behind him with the tv remote.

"I was watching that," Lloyd says from the couch.

"You don't need to watch my interviews silly," Aria laughs as she places the tv remote down. "You can just ask me about it."

"I know, but I like to know what you say about me behind my back," Lloyd says jokingly as he wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her into his lap.

"I would never say anything about my dear fiancé," Aria replies as she kisses his cheek.

"I feel like.." Lloyd sighs as he leans back against the couch. "I don't know, like I shouldn't be this happy. The team's been grieving for over a year now, and I just.."

"Hey," Aria put her hand on his cheek "you deserve to be happy. Don't think you're a bad person just because you're not in some deep depression. Loss is a part of life, it's sad yes, but all good things come to an end. Nya wouldn't want us all moping around with her gone."

"You're right," Lloyd hugs her tightly as Aria sat on his lap. "I hope the ninja will come to our wedding though, I haven't even told them yet."

"Lord, I don't know how to tell all of Ninjago we're getting married," Aria sighs.

"Well, they better know they can look but they can't touch." Lloyd says as he holds her tighter "This idol is mine."

"Oh Lloyd," Aria laughs. "I don't know what to do with you sometimes."

"I could say the same thing," Lloyd chuckles.

A year ago, the ninja went on an adventure under the sea to find out why Nya's powers were being disrupted. Wujira was awakened and a sea villain was trying to use her to take over the city. Nya merged with the sea to defeat Wujira, and disappeared forever. The ninja had a falling out and decided to go their separate ways, grieving in different ways.

It was almost the one-year anniversary of when Nya disappeared, and Aria was going to be singing during a candlelight vigil held in Nya's honor. She encouraged Lloyd to meet with the ninja, despite him not wanting to go.

Aria stood on the stage looking out at the crowd of people who showed up to the candlelight vigil. She smiled slightly, before beginning her song. It wasn't upbeat and happy like most of her concerts. This song was personal and emotional.

Out on the ocean, dozens of small lanterns from the candlelight vigil float towards the lighthouse. Jay gasps as he runs to the shore, picking up a lantern. Kai, Zane and Cole follow him. In the distance, Lloyd was walking up to them.

"It's beautiful." Lloyd says as he approaches the ninja

"You came." Cole says happily turning towards him

"What changed your mind?" Kai asks

"Nya wouldn't want us to quit. If she saw us like this, she'd kick our butts and tell us to get back to work." Lloyd replies with a light chuckle

Jay rips off his beard, he put his hand on his chin "Ow! That hurt."

The five put their hands together in a circle.

"So, what do you say? For Nya?" Lloyd smiles

"For Nya!" the others agree

The five stand ashore the lighthouse watching all the lanterns together. Back at Ninjago, the people were now standing around as Aria sang. People were brought to tears and all around they were trying to wipe them away. As she finished her song, people began to clap, Aria was ready to walk off when she suddenly stopped.

Aria whipped her head back around and looked back out into the crowd. She jumped off the stage and ran through everyone, but once she reached the back, the person was no longer there. Aria was left confused and just stared out at the sea.

After that, Lloyd and the ninja got back together. They however were met by a new group of Ninja, created by none other than Zero. While the ninja was dealing with that, Aria was back to being busy as an Idol again. Too busy to know what Lloyd was really doing, until he got arrested.

The ninja sat nervously in the courtroom; Wu, P.I.X.A.L, Nya, Milly, and Aria sat behind them. Zero sat in front of them as the judge.

"We're so screwed," Lloyd mutters.

"Yeah," Kai agrees. "Zero has hated us since the day we met."

"In all my years, I have never seen such a callous disregard for public safety as I have in this case." Zero spoke, looking annoyed. "The ninja put the entire city at risk by freeing the convicted criminal Aspheera, and then helping to arm her with the very weapon she used to attack this city. I'm suggesting the ninja be sentenced to 20 years in kryptarium prison."

"What?!" the ninja shout.

"You can't be serious!" Lloyd shouts.

"Big brother," Aria stands up. "Can I speak on behalf of the ninja please?"

"You are the only one who dares to call the emperor so casually, so, sure." Zero crosses his arms. "Why not?"

Lloyd looks hopeful as Aria walks up to her brother.

"Sure, come up here too," Zero adds sarcastically.

"What about all the times the ninja helped this city?" Aria questions. "Like when they fought Garmadon? Or Unagami? Or the Quiet One? We have to take that into account too. They are an asset to this empire despite this hiccup."

"They're also idiots Aria," Zero argues.

"Idiots that, may I remind you, keep me from killing your ass." Aria smiles innocently.

"Wha-" Zero looks around before leaning towards her. "Did you just threaten to kill me, the emperor, really? In front of all these people, when your reputation is just starting to improve?"

"I still have a reputation of being a bad girl, people kinda like that, so I can still kill you if you continue to annoy me," Aria replies calmly. "You are my precious older brother though, so maybe I'll just snap your neck, quick and painless."

"The fact you can say that with a smile on your face still scares me," Zero mutters.

"Your choice big brother," Aria giggles. "Or we can go another round?"

"No thanks," Zero sighs as he leans back in his chair. "I'm sentencing them to five years in Kryptarium Prison, afterwords they will serve community service by continuing to contribute to this city." He looks at Aria "Is that better?"

"Sounds good to me," Aria replies.

"Trial over!" Zero stood up before turning to one of his guards and muttered. "Don't let Aria into the palace for the 5 years they're in jail."

"Thanks big brother," Aria waves to Zero as he walks out of the courtroom.

The ninja immediately all hug her, Lloyd was the last one.

"You're the best!" Lloyd says.

"Threatening my brother really does wonders," Aria comments.

"Please don't do it so boldly next time though," Kai tells her.

"I'll keep that in mind," Aria laughs.

The police came over and began to put handcuffs on the ninja, to escort them to prison. Aria kisses Lloyd on the cheek as they cuffed him.

"You know, I should invest in getting us a pair of those," Aria says "they may come in handy."

"Seriously?" Lloyd blushes "Why now?!"

Aria laughs as they began to drag the ninja out of the courtroom. Aria returned to her empty apartment in Ninjago. Wu and the others offered for her to stay at the Monastery, thinking she would get lonely without Lloyd, but she insisted it was easier to stay in the city while working.

Aria let out a sigh as she walked into her apartment that was once littered with her own merch but was replaced by the various pictures of her and Lloyd. Even pictures of her with the other ninja.

"It's strange to think how much has changed," Aria mutters as she picked up a picture of her and the ninja together.

"Yes, it is."

Aria whipped her head around, to see nobody there. She put the picture down before looking around the apartment.

"I'm losing it," Aria mutters.

Aria put her hand on her head as her vision suddenly darkened, she collapsed to the floor and fell unconscious.

"Not quite yet," a figure walked out of hiding and towards her "but soon."
