The citizens run away while the Sons of Garmadon takes over the city.

"It's chaos out there." Nya shuts the door "But we're safe for now."

"Yeah, for now," Zero repeats.

"All right" Lloyd turns to Mistake "are you gonna tell us how you turned into a rat?"

Mistake slurps tea "Ahh. The rat is easy! How about this?" She transforms into Wu, and they gasp "Not too shabby for an old woman" she changes back into herself and giggles.

"You're an Oni, a real Oni," Lloyd says.

we were told that Oni are dangerous and all they want to do is destroy!" Dareth shouts

"We are." Mistaké confirms "You don't want me on your bad side."

Nya looks at her "How did you get here? When—"

"During the time of legend. When she crossed over in pursuit of the First Spinjitzu Master. " Lloyd says "When he fled the Realm of Oni and Dragon."

Mistaké nods "Mm. You listen well, Master Garmadon. Since your grandfather was born of both worlds, our mission was to follow him into this realm and turn him to our side! Or destroy him. But he wouldn't serve. And I fell in love with this world he created.

My fellow Oni wanted to complete our mission, but I turned on them, and I have helped the First Spinjitzu Master ever since. Did you ever wonder how Master Wu and Garmadon have lived so long? It is our Oni blood."

"How have you kept this secret for so long?" Skylor asks.

"Transformation is a powerful ability" Mistake replies.

"But if I'm part Oni, why can't I do that?" Lloyd asks.

"Transform? You've been doing it all your life! From a bratty child to the destined Green Ninja and now to our great leader of The Resistance" Mistake says "But now to endure your father, you must transform again."

"Into what?" Lloyd asks.

"There is but one final step for you, young Master. Have faith." Mistake tells him "You will figure it out."

"Can I ask you something else then?" Lloyd questions.

"You may," Mistake nods.

"Aria's mother, the overlord's wife, was she an Oni?" Lloyd asks.

"Perhaps you're smarter than you look," Mistake chuckles. "Yes, Layla was an Oni."

"What's the story behind her?" Lloyd questions. "Why did the Overlord kill her?"

"Because she loved her children, more then she loved her husband." Mistake answers. "The Overlord was a possessive dragon, and the two fell in love at a much earlier time than this realm. The realm grew and expanded thanks to the first Spinjitzu master, but Svern did not want it. Because he was a dragon, the people of this new realm feared him."

"To protect this realm, Layla had to banish her own husband, which was hard for her." Mistake sighs "I served Layla in her youth, and she was loved by the people of Ninjago. She fell in love with another man, giving birth to young master Zero over here."

Zero looks away.

"What made her want to see the Overlord again?" Lloyd questions. "I mean- I'm grateful for it, cause Aria wouldn't be here now."

"Indeed, after everything, Layla still loved Svern." Mistake looks down "But sadly, he was a different man- dragon. After Aria was born, the Overlord saw her as a way regain his former power. Layla wouldn't allow it however, and in an attempt to take the child, the Overlord killed his wife in her stead."

After a moment of silence, Zero sighed and turned to the group.

"We were there, when our mother was killed." Zero tells them. "We watched it happen, and that's the day my sister changed." He looks away "I was terrible... instead of understanding that my sister wanted love. I pushed her away out of fear, when she needed me the most..." He tightened his fist "I wasn't..."

"It's okay," Lloyd says. "You're here now."

"Even so," Zero shakes his head. "Every time I see that look in her eyes, I can't help but think she's a monster."

"That's because she is," Mistake says "Aria is a dragon oni. She has the drive that all Oni's do, while having a dragon's heart. It is because of that, that she has yet to be driven completely mad." She looks at Lloyd "It is because she has learned of love, that she is at odds with her two sides." She shrugs "If not, surely she'd have turned out like your father now."

"She's scary, I can agree with you on that." Lloyd looks out the window "But still.. I can't help but love her."

"And that's how you have the heart of a dragon," Mistake smiles. "You have enough love in your heart to look past her exterior and see her inner self."

"Uh guys, I hate to interrupt!" Dareth turns to them "They're here. And they brought Harumi!"

"We need to leave" Nya says.

Lloyd stands up "No. No more running. It's time to change things up."

The Sons of Garmadon surround two citizens "The Green Ninja. Have you seen him?" The man shakes his head.

"He's lying. Make him tell the truth" Harumi orders.

'Lloyd' whistles.

Son of Garmadon look up to see 'Lloyd' running.

"Don't let him get away!" Harumi shouts.

Killow land on a boat, which starts to separate from the others. Two Sons of Garmadon follow 'Lloyd' into an alley but only see a rat.

The rat goes in a pile of garbage bags. It's revealed to be Mistaké "Were you expecting someone else?"

Skylor attacks them as the resistance slowly come out of hiding and take out the sons of Garmadon.

Lloyd faces Harumi "Those who cannot change, cannot change anything"

"Lloyd. You speak of change but look what you've become." Harumi mocks "Nothing but a beggar in rags."

"You took my friends from me, so I took yours" Lloyd says as the Resistance surrounds Harumi.

"So," Nya chuckles. "Who's the beggar now?"

The Resistance brings the captured Harumi into their hideout.

Harumi laughs "Oh, how the tables have turned."

Dareth looks at Lloyd "Yeah, your plan worked. We got Harumi. Now what do we do?"

"What if we use her for trade?" Nya suggests "Our friends in the Kryptarium Prison for her."

"How does that make you feel, Lloyd? That your father cares for me more than his own son?" Harumi questions.

"My father cares for no one, only his thirst for more power. He won't free our friends. We'll hold on to her until she's valuable to us" Lloyd says ignoring Harumi.

"My generals have been here before. It's only a matter of time until they find me" Harumi says.

"I hate to admit it, but she's right. I hope whatever courage you have up your sleeve is an ace, because right now, we're about to fold." Dareth tells them "But don't tell me right now because I think she can hear us."

The door immediately opens and in walks Skylor "Found some stuff, in her belongings."

"I think you need to see this" Mistaké says.

Harumi grunts, trying to free herself.

"Go. I'll keep watch over her" Nya says.

Lloyd and Zero follow Skylor and Mistake.

"What is it?" Lloyd asks.

"The Oni Mask of Hatred" Mistaké replies holding it up.

"If your Elemental Power doesn't return, this could certainly help" Skylor suggests.

"But Oni power is Dark Magic." Mistake warns "Wield it only at your own peril."

"What do you want to do?" Skylor asks Lloyd.

Lloyd looks at the Mask of Hatred and throws it at Harumi's feat "My mask! You're going to steal it?"

Lloyd glares at her "Save the performance, I'm not going to use it..." he turns to the group "The only reason someone as smart as her was captured is because she wanted to be."

"Ooh, very perceptive, Lloyd. You're smarter than you let on. If I can't trick you, perhaps I can deliver a message: Emperor Garmadon will destroy you, and you can do nothing to stop it because YOU can NEVER change. As much as you want to, you don't have it in you to hurt your dear Poppy!" Harumi shouts.

Dareth growls "You don't know Lloyd!"

"Don't I? Let me ask: How do you see this ending?" Harumi smirks "You CAN'T because there is no happy ending. Once Green, always Green."

Lloyd and Skylor shrug in response. The two begin to walk away when Harumi starts laughing.

"What now?" Lloyd questions, turning to her.

"I just thought how funny it is," Harumi glances at him. "How much care you showed for your girlfriend and yet, you haven't even found her corpse yet."

Lloyd's eyes widened as Zero growls angrily.

"What did you just say?!" Zero began to take out his sword when Lloyd stopped him.

"She's lying," Lloyd states. "Don't listen to her."

"Am I?" Harumi questions. "There can only be one dark lord, do you really think she would've been simply hauled off to prison. Oh no, a dragon like that, belongs with her dear father in hell."

Harumi began to laugh hysterically as Zero and Lloyd were pushed out of the room by Mistake.

"It's because of you Lloyd!" Harumi shouts, a tear running down Lloyd's face as he left the room. "She's dead because of you!"

Her laugh echoed as the doors shut behind them.
