The whispers and cries buzzes in Leah’s ear which wakes her up, slowly opening her eyes, she keeps blinking as the voices in the room sounds clear.

“She is alive, okay guys she is alive” Nathan’s shout makes her wince and close her eyes again.

“Oh no, we are losing her, oh God please, Leah don’t, you are my favorite sister, please don’t leave me” his voice keeps getting loud and close.

“Ouch, for fuck’s sake, Roux” he cries before she feels a warm hand on her face.

“Sweetheart” Rolfe’s voice makes others dim down so she slowly opens her eyes.

“Dad” she sighs and his smile meets her eyes.

“Right here, little one” he smiles and she sighs.

“What happened?” she asks wanting to get up but he holds her down.

“Lie down” he requests and she nods her head before hissing in pain as her hand raises to touch her head to find a bandage on it.

“My head”

“Natalie, water” Rolfe asks and the woman walks to where Leah was laying.

“One second she was with us and the next she…we are so sorry” Natalie cries as she hands the water to Rolfe to puts the straw close to Leah’s lip.

“Sip” he asks and the girl does.

“It’s okay Natalie. I just slipped in the bathroom” Leah tries to console her.

“Someone should have gone along with you. We girls never go to bathroom alone because of reasons like this”

“Okay. Let her rest” Rolfe asks everyone as he stands up and pulls Natalie along with him.

“If you want anything just call, I will be outside” Natalie states as she walks out.

“You scared the shit out of me so I need an ice-cream” Nathan states as he walks out as well.

“I am so sorry, it must hurt” Summer states as she stares at the bandage and leaves quietly.

“You will need some make up if that bruise is not out of the way before your big day” Naomi speaks before she walks to where Leah was laying down.

“How can you fall down while wearing flats, that’s Summer’s department, girl get well soon” Naomi scolds her as she says leaves Leah alone with Roux.

“Won’t you leave?” Leah asks Roux who shakes her head no.

“You won’t even know I am here, so rest”

“It’s okay, I…”

“Naomi is right, how can someone fall down wearing flats, when the bathroom was not even slippery” Roux eyes her sister.

“Well now we know someone can” Leah sighs as she closes her and tries to sleep away the pain.

“Leon’s calling” Naomi shows the phone to everyone in the room.

“Pick it up, then” Nathan grumbles.

“He never calls me”

“Everything happens for the first time” he states.

“Leah must have ignored his calls, what if he asks about Leah”

“First pick it up” Roux asks.

“No, because he will think we cannot take care of Leah and then he will try to showcase us how it is done by giving her security or who knows putting a goddamn guard on the door or maybe even build a whole police station right at our front door”

“Oh shut up and pick it up” Nathan states before they all stare at the phone as it stops ringing.

“Oh well, guess we will never know” Naomi smiles before all of them screams as the doorbell rings.

“Oh God, is that him?” Naomi asks her sister.

“My superpowers have not shown themselves out, yet, how would I know?” Nathan states.

“Let’s not answer, then maybe he will go” Naomi states.

“Wait a second, are you scared of him?” Roux asks as she stands up.

“Who would not be in this situation, his bloody fiancée is a damaged material lying in bed looking like a mummy? What if he thinks Leah I stupid to fall on the bathroom floor and cancels the marriage?”

“He is not that stupid”

“We will not answer the door” Naomi finalizes and the doorbell stops ringing.

“See he is gone” Naomi grins folding her arms.

“Where is she?” his voice makes her stand still as she slowly turns her head to face him.

“Did his superpower came out that now he can walk in from closed door?” she whispers and Roux nudges her head making her look at the door to find Summer standing next to the door.

“Knew the betrayal will come from within the family” Naomi narrows her eyes.

“Where is she?” Leon asks.

“Not home” Naomi replies.

“In her room” Roux adds.

“Upstairs” Nathan points out.

“That way” Summer shows the way making Naomi glare at each of her siblings.

Making his way towards the room, he finds both Rolfe and Natalie outside of the door. He nods his head at Rolfe who nods back as he pulls Natalie along with him.

“The door remains open” Rolfe points before they leave him.

Entering Leah’s room, not just he closes it but locks the door as well. Walking towards Leah’s bed he eyes the girl before sitting next to her.

“Leah” he calls softly and then touches her hand.

Opening her eyes slowly Leah sighs before their eyes meet.

“Hey” she whispers and he takes a deep breath as he grips her hand, pulling it up she kisses the back of it.

“You scared me” he breathes.

“I am fine, just slipped…”

“Let me get this straight with you, once and for all. These little lies may work with your family but not with me, so don’t even bother trying”

“I am unwell and you are scolding me” she points.

“Trust me, Leah, you will know when I am scolding you and know this you will not like when I do” he clarifies.

“Can we not forget this and you be a good fiancé and just worry for me?”

“I am worried Leah, I have been worried from the moment you did not receive my calls and to watch you in this state” he shakes his head.

“I am fine”

“Things would have been different if you were not, now stop changing the topic and speak” he orders.

“Always demanding as if I am your employee”

“Always protective because you are mine” he corrects and her eyes widens a bit.

“I don’t know, I was going to the washroom and suddenly someone came from behind her, grabbed me, I could not get him off me or scream, he was holding me tight and it was suffocating, I lost my consciousness and I don’t even know how I fell down, maybe he dropped me”

“Did you see him?”

“No”

“Did he say something?”

“He was but I could not remember, my whole focus was on trying to breathe and get him off me”

“Anything else, you remember, maybe his voice, was it familiar?”

“No”

“Okay, rest then, I will see in to this”

“Please don’t tell this to my family, they…”

“This is now my matter and I don’t like sharing it” he points making her nod.

“Will it be like this, always?” she asks him.

“Like what?” he asks in confusion.

“You, always being this controlling” she asks.

“Things needs to be in control Leah, especially in my life”

“Even with me?” she asks.

“Especially with you”

“But why?”

“Because I have finally found someone who has made me lose myself, who has made me forget myself” he confesses.

“Leon” she breathes and he slowly moves his body towards her.

“One glance and I was a goner, so I need control, Leah, you have no idea how much on everything else, because when it’s you, and I have no control at all” and then their lips meet each other.

“Did she say anything?” Roux asks as Leon walks out of Leah’s room.

“Excuse me”

“Listen, you all may think we are stupid but we are not. She just did not slipped on the bathroom”

“If she did not then I am sure your sister would have said otherwise”

“If she is any kind of danger then we have every right to know”

“If she has not said anything then it’s clear you don’t”

“She is my sister”

“I am well aware” he nods.

“Is she in danger because of you?” Roux asks and he shakes his head no.

“I am the last one who will ever hurt her”

“I hope it never changes” she asks before they walk away from each other.

“We can look after her and just know…” Naomi starts.

“Goodnight” his reply makes her stunned.

“Always the mean one” she huffs as she turns and walks away.

“I won’t ask who, because I know even you don’t know but can the situation be under control?” Rolfe asks as they walk towards his car.

“I was wondering when you would talk on this matter”

“She thinks by not letting us know she is doing us a favor but you know it kind of hurts. Her hiding the fact that someone is trying to hurt her makes me realize that she has not fully accepted us as a family”

“That’s not true, you all mean a lot to her, very much” he defends Leah.

“Can you update me on this matter?” Rolfe requests as he touches Leon’s shoulder.

“Situation like this or anything that will hurt her will ever happen, not in my watch” he promises and Rolfe nods his head as he watches Leon drive away.

Turning towards his house, he stands outside and keeps staring at it for a long moment.

“I don’t know, if this is the right way but then again what exactly is right way?” he sighs.

“How is she?” Lucas asks as he moves from the backseat of the car to the front.

“In pain”

“Who was he?”

“She did not see him or recognized his voice”

“Women, they will see every little thing, remember every small dates except when it’s important they see nothing, hear no words” he groans.

“His hands were on her body” Leon hisses.

“He was touching her”

“Leon”

“He was suffocating her”

“Okay, I got it” Lucas sits tight as the speed of the car increases.

“He left her on the floor”

“Brother”

“He…”

“Won’t touch her again, won’t hurt her again. Because from now on, you will be by her side, so calm down. You have never taken right decisions when you are not calm” Lucas tries to relax him and he does as the car slowly comes to a halt.

“There are rare times when I felt helpless, Luc. Once, when I saw mother cry but she did not cry when her father died, second when dad was burying our parents, the grief in his eyes, fucking killed me, third, when I saw Maple…” he stops and gulps as he throws his head back and closes his eyes to keep the calm.

“Fourth, when Willow looked me in the eyes and left like she does not even know me and maybe she did not and I swore to myself not again, not again will anyone get hurt yet…Leah” he sighs.

“Willow, you still in love with her or something, cause you thinking a lot about her, these days, dude” Lucas comments making Leon chuckle.

“There is not a day goes by when I don’t think of her” he confesses.

“One would be stupid not to think about her, she has always been stupidly smart”

“Tell me about it”

“If you are going to be sad for your ex, I think I better get off here”

“I am not in love with Willow, but I cannot just skip that part of my life, Lucas. Because she is the only girl that knows a side of me that I never thought would be possible to live. It’s like a dream that will always linger at the back of your head, which will never be a reality but just a beautiful dream…

But dream do comes to an end when you open your eyes and reality sets in. And Leah is my reality, now. Willow for me is more than just my ex, she has been a friend who always was hungry and would finish all the food from your fridge, little sister who would always annoy you and do exactly what you asked her not to, a nemesis who would not leave a single moment to push you down and show your place and when a person like that enters your life you never forget them, their memories never let you forget them, like it’s an unspoken rule, as if it’s a crime to forget them. The good people, the one who shows does not care but makes changes to the world in their own way” he smiles fondly.

“Dream huh, tell me about those dreams” Lucas sighs as he stares at the street as both the brothers stay quiet for sometimes.

Note:  To those feeling why Willow's name, only few who were in relation may understand that sometimes to let go of someone it is difficult. Leon has been with Willow for so long time and it was his one and only relation and something stronger than this will only help him let go. Its not that he is in love with Willow but memories is a very sad thing it occurs when you least want it.
So bear with me, Leah and Leon are just getting deeper and when their heart will beat in same beat you will see how beautiful it is.
