When I got into the house from the basement door, I noticed a little girl with a buzz cut and she looked at me scared. I put my hands up to show I meant her no harm, but suddenly I was thrown into the wall behind me.

"El no she's our friend" Mike said rushing downstairs

"Friend" the girl said and let me go

"What the hell was that?" I panicked

"She's special and we have to keep her a secret okay" Dustin said

"What aren't you telling me boys?" I asked

And they explained everything, Eleven or El confirming each word that came out of their mouths. So, that's how I found myself following the children around trying to find Will. When we appeared back at his house we were all confused but Lucas was pissed.

"Lucas calm down she's trying to help us" I warned the younger boy

But arguing started and I began to get frustrated with the whole damn situation. I wanted nothing more than to snap at the boys but I found myself thinking back to Eddie and I's kiss. The one he regretted and easily was talking away with Chrissy once more just hours later. I felt off and alone even if I was with four other people these people might be kids but they were family at one point. Now that I look at it I was hanging out with children that were currently fighting over something irrelevant to the situation at the time. I suddenly felt a hand meet mine causing me to flinch away slightly. I looked down at my hand to see a female hand holding mine.

"Friends" Eleven said with an awkward smile

"Friends" i said softly and that reminded me of what was happening now

"You guys cut the shit now or I'm going to get really pissed off" I snapped gaining all their attention

They knew that when I was angry no one was on good terms with me. So when they finally shut up I smiled triumphantly and then thought of what to say.

"Okay so we know that she's from a lab the Hawkins lab, and we know Will was taken by a demogorgon, we also know that parents would call us insane if we told them but you know one thing I don't understand is why they hell it opened in the first place if a gate opened someone had to of opened it right" i said thinking out loud to the party in front of me

Eleven shrunk back and stayed a little ways away as if she knew something that she obviously wasn't telling us or hadn't told us yet. I looked over at the girl and crouched down to her level so I seemed less intimidating.

"Do you know something El?" I asked softly

She nodded slowly after taking a moment to think of a reply.

"Do you know who opened the gate even if it was accidental you can tell me right" i said

Then she pointed to herself and tears formed in her eyes as if she hurt when saying it.

"Oh you accidentally opened it?" I said

"Y...yes" she stuttered

"Oh it's okay El don't be nervous we know you didn't mean to do it right" i said

"No, friends still" she asked softly as if I would say no to they young girl

"Of course kid, we're still friends and for now we need to head back to Mike's okay" i said

"Ok" she said and smiled upon knowing and saying a new word

I knew I was going to grow attached to this kid and I from this point on promise to teach her proper English for sure. I then followed the boys back to mikes house where we decided to split for the night. They had gone on a search for Will alone once already which is were they found eleven. They promised not to do it again without telling me and inviting me along the way. So I headed home only to be greeted by a drunk father and a yelling mother. I snuck past them and shut my door as quickly and as quietly as I could then of course I locked it. I got a bag together and when I looked out my window I saw a flash of flight. I knew who it was it was our code using a flashlight of course, only when it was necessary to do so.

I sigh to myself and debated on whether I should leave my comfort of my room to see him. Or if I should stay and ignore him like he had done me all damn day. He also couldn't know about the demogorgons because he'd say I was crazy. He couldn't know about eleven either it would be safe for her. He couldn't know anything and this was where I decided I shouldn't go over. But my heart strings pulled and I found myself climbing out my window for the second night in a row to see my crush. I climbed through his window and straight into his bedroom were he was waiting for me.

"Hey we should talk" he said

"About what?" I asked

"You ignored me all day" he said

I scoffed and rolled my eyes at the boy in front of me, why wouldn't he realize why I ignored him. He can be oblivious just as any other guy would in the world, but he was just upsetting me right now.

"I went looking for you at lunch Edward and you were busy with Chrissy" i said with a disgusted look

"You came looking for me?" He asked shocked

"Yes but again you were too busy with Chrissy which I completely understand who wouldn't want to have her attention, she's beautiful and kind, she's thinner than me and she's a damn cheerleader" i said the last few words to myself but he heard

"Your jealous of Chrissy?" He asked with a smirk

"Of course I am you've had a crush on the girl for years while I stood ideally by and watched my crush go off on a hunt that leads nowhere" i said frustrated

Then covered my mouth and gasped at what I had confessed to my best friend/crush. I had to get out of there now, but as it would appear fate had other plans for me.
