Chapter 5
Connor stared at the poster. He frowned. Valentines had never been his favourite holiday. It was in a few days. He turned to the person who had appeared next to him. He nearly had a heart attack, from a sudden burst of excitement. "Michael! Didn't see you there!" Michael turned to face him, cheeks dawning a slight reddish colour.
"I-I didn't either! Hi!" He turned to face the poster. "So, Valentine's huh? I wonder if Jeremy will get a burst of confidence to send something." He smirked slightly.
"I'd be surprised if he did. From what I've seen, he doesn't seem that confident." Michael giggled, making Connor's smile widen.
"That friend of yours... Evan, I think, he doesn't seem confident either."
"Are you going to do something for Valentines?" Connor asked, running a hand through his dark, long hair. Michael smiled softly. His eyes were staring at the poster.
"Maybe. I'm not sure yet. Are you?" His voice softened at the question. Connor felt his heart rate increase.
"I-I'm not sure either. I don't really like Valentines. But, maybe, if I feel like sending something to him," he was completely unaware of the last sentence that he had spoken.
"Oooh~ What's this?" At Jared's voice, Connor blushed and quickly glanced Michael before increasing the distance between them. Michael quickly glanced at Connor before moving his gaze to the floor.
"Jared." Connor gestured to him to come closer. "Whatever you're about to say," he furiously whispered. "Cut it." Jared smirked.
"You are aware you just admitted you want to send a Valentine to someone?" Connor glared.
"What do you mean?"
"You. Someone who doesn't like Valentine's. Wants to send a VALENTINE to someone. So, who's the lucky boy?"
"What? There's no lucky boy or girl or whatever. So why don't you get that out of your f**king mind and leave me be?" Jared slowly blinked, chuckling slightly.
"I can't because you're f**king obvious and oblivious. So, if you think that what I'm talking about is s**t, maybe you should take a moment to assess that... YOU. ARE. SO. F**KING. GAY."
"But, I know I'm gay." Jared rolled his eyes.
"Yes. That is your sexuality. What I mean is, you are denying the fact you have a gay crush on-" Connor blocked Jared's mouth, fearing that Jared would say the name out loud in presence of the person.
"May I ask where the f**k you heard this?"
"I didn't need to hear it. It's super obvious. Does that mean you're accepting it now?"
"No. As I said, there is NOTHING between us. We are just friends. End. Of. Story." Jared merely yawned.
"You can keep denying it Connie. It's not gonna change the truth."
