Chapter 10
Well, after that episode a few days ago, Alder and I had talked. We had ended up deciding on a date, to take my mind off it. We were both very excited. I glanced at Creek, my mother had brought him over a few days ago, because she was cleaning out my old room and knew I wouldn't want to part with him. I picked up the stuffed fox plushie and looked at him. I felt myself smile. The toy was 17 years old but still in pretty good condition. Save for the areas where the stuffing had gone, leading him to have a head that wouldn't stand up anymore and a droopy tail. I didn't care. "Hello Sullivan," I said, putting on a voice for the stuffed animal.
"Hello, Creek," I replied in my normal voice to the toy. I changed my pitch again.
"It's been a while."
"It has," I replied to the toy. I brought him forward and brushed his plush snout on my nose. I hardly noticed Alder had entered the room. "How have you been doing?"
"Not too well, I've been gathering dust in my old cave." I acted a little, looking at the toy with surprise.
"Really? I guess you're really happy you aren't gathering dust anymore?"
"Oh my God, you're such a dork," Alder laughed, causing me to gasp and drop Creek on the bed, blushing. He walked over and pecked my cheek. "It's cute though, husband-to-be."
"Don't forget you're a dork too," I fired back, smiling. Alder said nothing and just joined me on the bed. I kissed him lightly on his hand causing him to blush. "A dork that I'm going to marry. Pretty soon too."
"That's true," he said, now looking around the room. After a while, he produced a wolf plushie from nowhere. He looked at the plushie, flinching when he noticed a red stain near the end of the plushie's tail. He rejoined me on the bed and started speaking in a high voice. "I'm Ash, who are you?" I immediately picked up on what he was doing.
"I'm Creek," I replied in Creek's voice. Alder made his plushie wave his paw.
"Nice to meet you, Creek!" Alder and I smiled.
"Nice to meet you too, Ash!"
"What do you li-" I broke character, laughing my head off. Alder was also laughing. Both toys had fallen onto the bed. "We are such dorks," I said.
"Y-Yep," Alder laughed. I got an idea.
"Pardon me, are you Aaron Burr, sir?" Alder threw me a smirk.
"That depends, who's asking?"
"Oh well sure, sir! My name is Alexander Hamilton I'm at your service sir, I have been looking for you."
"I'm getting nervous..."
"I uh... forgot the rest," I admitted, rubbing my neck. Alder's smirk changed to a smile.
"Okay," he said.

It... was... our... wedding day. Our WEDDING DAY. To say I wasn't excited would be a right lie. It had just started. I saw my mother struggling to keep Reyna still. I probably shouldn't have brought our cat to our wedding, but I didn't want her to miss it. I'd stayed the night over at my mother's so I didn't see the groom before the wedding. I was waiting by the alter or whatever it was called. Alder started walking. He was in a white suit and his long hair was tied back in a ponytail. I'd only ever seen his hair in a ponytail on special occasions, and today was certainly one. I smiled. Alder eventually reached alter, a soft expression on his face.
It eventually got to the vows and then I was asked,"Sullivan Sense do you take Alder to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do," I said, smiling softly. The man smiled and turned toward Alder.
"And Alder Foley, do you take Sullivan to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do," the soft expression on Alder's face didn't match his tone at all which sounded like barely controlled excitement. The man let out a slight chuckle.
"Then, by the powers invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and husband," the man sounded a bit awkward when he said that. Alder leapt up and pressed his lips to mine, wrapping his arms around my neck before the man had even said, "you may now kiss the groom." I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him closer. It was the most passionate kiss we'd ever done.

I had planned a surprise for the after party. The runner of the party knew about it but Alder didn't. I was going to surprise my husband. My husband... it felt so good to say that. Alder and I were dancing slowly. "I'm really happy right now," Alder whispered, blushing.
"I am too," I replied. "It finally happened." Alder gazed up at me.
"I don't need you to sell me on reasons to want you," he sang, barely a whisper.
"I don't need you to search for the proof that I should," I sang, also quietly.
"You don't have to convince me, you don't have to be scared you're not enough," Alder stopped singing after that point.
"Can Sullivan come up to the stage please?" I smiled and obeyed walking up to the stage. My surprise. I started singing a mash-up of love songs and Alder's gaze softened.
"And the rest of the world falls away..." I ended and looked at Alder. He was smiling and tearing up.
~~~
After the after party, Alder and I returned home. Giggling as if we were drunk, we weren't, we entered our room and Alder locked the door.
