He spent his life gazing at the moon.
A moon with no stars for company,
nor a sun that would kindly share it's light.
The moon that orbited no space,
and gladly stood still like forgotten time.
He, with eyes binded to the lone moon.
A curse yet a gift in disguise.
Eventually, the moon got tired of waiting
A lifetime of unrequited love worn her light.
Her warmth turned cold,
and her life slowly gone.
She breath her remaining love,
through pecks of little stars,
and with that she slept,
lonely, no more.
And not a day shall pass,
that he with eyes binded to her light,
would not miss her gentle gray eyes,
that once gifted his lonely nights.
He spent his life gazing at the moon,
and forever, he always will.
