Felix's pov
I lay on the floor, one arm hung over my eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep. I was laying on the far side of the room from the couch Chey was on. The two females were both asleep at the moment and Cry said he was keeping watch. As much as I don't trust him I was too tired to object.

He wouldn't kill us after we saved his girlfriend and helped him, right? If he did though it would probably be a release from this horrid world. But, as horrible as it was, I didn't want to die. Not yet at least.

Some people give up but I won’t. I can’t give up on Marzia or myself. It's not that bad living in a world like this. The struggle for food and supplies actually helps bring people together. That is, until you run out.

"Blondie," a voice whispered and I felt a light kick in my side. I let out a groan and rolled over. I sat up slowly and looked up at the blank white mask that stared back at me.

"What?" I muttered as I tried to rub the sleep from my exhausted eyes. Cry shifted his head to the side and remained quiet. I was about to speak when I heard voices coming from out the front.

"We have to leave," Cry said, quickly helping me to my feet.
"We can't move Chey. Her wound could get infected," I said but I didn't want to stay here either.

"We can either leave and risk the infection or stay here and wait for ten armed men to break down the door," Cry said quietly. I nodded and we proceeded to wake up our sleeping girlfriends.

Marzia was the first to wake fully, since Chey's pain killers affected her a lot. Me and Marzia helped her to her feet as Cry rushed onto the back room, returning with four black bags; two slung over each shoulder and two in his hands. He gave one to me and one to Marzia to carry.

Marzia quickly gave Chey more pain killers so she could walk better and escape. Cry gave us a silent nod and we hurried to the back exist. After a quick check for dead or alive, Cry signalled us to follow him and we hurried away from the small shop. We ran as fast as we could, with Chey's injury holding her back a little, before Cry stopped in front of a shed.

"I hope this means what I think it does," I said. My heart was faster than usual but it wasn't too fast since I wasn't running my fullest.

Cry silently approached the shed and opened the door slightly, ducking under and disappearing into the darkness. A few seconds later he remerged. Both bags gone and a pair of keys in his hands. He signalled us inside and we were soon in the dark damp shed as well.

"I can't see a thing," Marzia exclaimed in her quiet voice. There was a quick hush from Cry, followed by the sound of a car door opening. I felt the weight of the bag vanish and relief spread through my sore shoulder. There was some rustling but my eyes were beginning to adjust to the light by now and I could faintly see a truck in the small shed.

"Does it start?" I whispered quietly. I could see Cry's white mask in the dark but the rest was just a dark shadow because of his dark clothes. He didn't answer for a while as he put everything into the truck then helped Chey into the back seat. He turned to Marzia and held out his hand to help her in.

"It should. We only got it running a few days ago before we went looking for supplies. And you know how that ended up," he said quietly. I nodded and walked back to the shed door. I waited for Cry to get into the driver’s seat and turn the vehicle on before I pulled the door up. I was met with something quite un expected.

Five armed men stood around the door, guns draw but not aimed at me. They turned at the sound of the truck and door and all guns were aimed at me. My eyes widened in shock and I jumped behind the wall just as gunshots rang out. I covered my head as bullets flew everywhere and parts of the wall blew off from the impacts.

I heard the trucks engine rev and the next thing I knew it was driving out of the shed and straight into the men outside. Some jumped out of the way but three of them were hit. The bodies flew a few feet in front of the truck as it slid to a stop and the door swung open.

"Felix!" Marzia screamed and instincts kicked in. I watched as one of the two remaining men caught their balance and aimed the gun directly at Marzia. Time slowed as I raced towards the man and tried to push him out of the way.
But I was too slow.

A gunfire rang out, followed by a scream then a body hit the floor. I rammed the man in front of me into a barbed fence before grabbing his neck and snapping it. I knew what had happened but I refused to look. Not yet, she might still be okay.

A second shot rang out and I turned to see the last guy shooting at me. A bullet hit my shoulder but it didn't affect me. I charged forward and punched him square in the face. He fell to the ground. I wasn't sure if he was dead or not but just to make sure I picked up his gun and began shooting him over and over again.

"Felix!" Cry shouted and after one more shot I ran out of bullets. All adrenaline I had was lost as tears rolled down my face. I turned to him, being met with that horrible emotionless mask. I looked away from it, not wanting to look at it anymore as my eyes fell on Marzia, her body laying lifeless on the floor with a bloody bullet hole directly through her head.

One down. One to go XD
