Cry's pov
Felix loves the fox cub I brought back. He's constantly with her since he's still recovering from what happened in the winter. Being bit for the third time didn't really help with his mind. He kinda went a little crazy after he woke up and we had to chain him to the bed for a week. It was heartbreaking.
When he did recover a little mentally and realised what was happening he felt so guilty. He did try to kill three people and even managed to kill someone. It felt so horrible watching him beat himself up over it. I was one of the people he'd attacked and that didn't make him feel any better about it.
But since the change in seasons he's gotten a lot better. The warmer weather has released some of the tension he's had built up. He's been a lot happier and cheerful. Ellie has helped an aweful lot too, the fox. She's always there to cheer Felix up.
"Come on Ellie, lets go for a walk," Felix said as he walked out of our room, Ellie close behind. He looked up at me and smiled, walking my way.
"Where are you two off to?" I asked politely. Ellie jumped up on my lap and wagged her tail like a dog. I stroked her head and scratched behind her ear.
"Just for a quick run. We wont go far. Just enough to get Ellie running and some fresh air," Felix said happily.
"Do you want me to come with you two. We haven't spoken much since I brought her home. I feel so unloved," I joked. Felix laughed but nodded, seeming glad I'd asked.
"Sure, you can come. It'd be good for all of us to get some fresh air," He said before grabbing a ball and heading to the door. I grabbed my mask and followed behind him, making sure Ellie was outside before closing the door.
We walked down the road for a bit and took in everything. Some of the buildings had been damaged from the herd but people grouped together to help patch things up. The wall is all fixed. That was the first thing everyone worked on. It's been difficult, especially since there's now only 16 of us. Winter was really harsh.
"I never asked," Felix said, catching my attention. "What were you doing before all this? You asked me but I never asked you."
"I made videos on youtube," I stated calmly.
"Same, I forgot to add that in last time. Go on," Felix said with a chuckle.
"Well, I lived with my family since we all supported eachother. When I wasn't making videos I would help out around the house. I'd do these streams in the weekend with Russ," I said, remembering all the fun we had.
"So you knew eachother before all this?" Felix asked. I nodded.
"Yeah. We were mid stream when my brother barged into my room. But it wasn't my brother anymore," I said, a frown settling on my face. "My mom was devistated when she found us. Me, covered in my brothers blood. She nearly called the cops but then the power cut out and everything went black. See, me and Russ did our streams at night so when everything went out it was pitch black. And all I could hear was my mothers sobs in the dark. I felt so horrible."
"I'm so sorry," Felix whispered.
"Don't be," I said. The conversation fell silent for a while.
"The first zombie I saw was my sister," Felix said. "My entire family had come to visit Marzia and party in America. When Marzia and I returned to the hotel my sister was there to greet me. But it wasn't her. Then the rest of the family came. They weren't them. If Pj hadn't shown up we would have died. I never properly thanked him for it."
"He knew you were greatful," I asured. He looked at me and smiled before a certain bark caught our attention. We both turned to see Ellie jumping around infront of us, wagging her tail. Felix chuckled and raised the ball in his hands.
"You want this?" He asked in a playful voice. Ellie yapped and spun around on the spot. "Gooo, Get it." Felix threw the ball and it bounced down the road, the orange blur of Ellie chasing it in tow.
"How did you meet everyone else?" Felix asked, stuffing his hands into his jeans pockets.
"Well, first I went to Russ' house to make sure he was okay and on our way back we found Red. She was trapped in an ambulance with a group of zombies surrounding the vehical. It was hanging off the edge of a bridge; one wrong move and it would go over," I said. "Russ insisted we help so we did. They've been almost inseparable since.
We couldn't stay in Florida anymore so we thought it'd be good to head towards the countryside. Unfortunately our car crashed and I fell unconscious. I woke in a strange house cuffed to the bed. Red and Russ were no where to be seen. I later descovered that it had been Scott that had saved us. But since he didn't trust us he had locked us all in seperate rooms and cuffed us to the beds. The dude used to work as a video game designer. How he got so many handcuffs I have no idea.
We found Snake further down the line. He was trapped in an alley way with no ammo and a group of those things closing in on him. Scott wanted me to just leave him but I had just found a flame thrower. I was having fun with that shit," I chuckled.
"So you saved him," Felix commented.
"Yeah. Now Scott and Snake are 'best friends'," I chuckled. Making hand motions to the 'best friends' part. Felix chuckled and knelt down as Ellie returned with the ball.
"Yeah. Best friends."
Haha 'best friends' XD. They fuck
