I'M BACK
Cry's pov
I pushed the lifeless body off of the two men below. It rolled to the ground with a thud as I grabbed onto the blue hoodie of the mask man. I pulled him to his feet and shoved him against a tree.
"You asshole! You fucking asshole!" He screamed as he tried to squirm from my grasp. Blood trailed down his neck and stained his once blue hoodie and truned it a purpley red.
"Oh shut up you idiot!" I yelled before punching him. He fell to the ground unconscious. I turned around to see Red and Russ helping Felix sit up. I ran over and skidded to his side.
"Are you okay?" I asked immediately. Felix looked up at me for a moment. I could see the fear all over his face before he lept into my arms and began to sob. I wrapped my arms around him and comforted him.
"I really thought you were going to leave us for a moment there," Russ breathed out.
"Really? That was the most unbelievable shit I've ever done and yet it fooled everyone," I chuckled.
"Don't do that ever again, please," Felix whispered into my ear. My smile faded and I held him tighter.
"I won't. But if I ever do, just know I don't mean it. I would never leave any of you," I said sincerely. Everyone gave me grateful smiles and began to salvage all the supplies and weaponry the attackers had.
Once Felix had calmed down I headed over to deal with the unconscious man but he wasn't there anymore. All that was left was a patch of blood and a blood covered dagger.
"He's gone," Felix squeaked. He was clearly destressed by this unknown man and I couldn't let him panic too much.
"He's bit. He won't last long before he turns and I'd honestly prefer him as one of... those," I said, motioning to the dead turned body on the ground.
"Zombies," Felix stated monotonously.
"What?" I turned to him to see him staring at the magled body.
"We can call them that. Zombies," Felix said, looking away from the scene to stare at me.
"That sounds fitting. Better then trying to describe what they are," I said with a smile he couldn't see. Felix smiled back anyway and hurried off to tell everyone the new found name.
I let out a content sigh and glanced back at the empty space the man had once been. Someone should track him later. I'll tell Scott since he took charge after I left. He's used to it now. We can't have that man running around when he probably doesn't care about being bitten.
~small time skip cause why the fuck not~
They found him. And more of his friends too. Scott took a group of five out to find him and came back with only two left. Him and that Ken guy. No clue why he took Ken though. We barely know him. But I guess it's good he's pitching in. It meant he was away from Felix at least. I know they're friends and all but I don't like him being so close to Felix.
"At least we got some more supplies from their camp. Blankets, food, weapons and ammo. It isn't much but it'll do," Red said as she went through everything. She pulled out a large blanket that looked like it would be very warm.
"Give this to Felix when you go see him. It'll help with his cold temperature," she said as she threw the blanket to me. I caught it and wrapped it up in my arms.
"Thanks Red. I'm heading over now so I'll give it to him immediately," I said as I headed to our house.
"Oh, and can you tell Russ to come see me. He was meant to be getting changed and coming right back," Red asked. I nodded and began heading out. The cold air nipped at my face as a frosty breeze blew down the street. Our house was only across the street but even that distance was enough for the cold to sink in.
"RUSS!" I called out, shuffling my feet on the doormat to get rid of the frost on my shoes. I took my jacket off and hung it up so I wouldn't drip water anywhere before heading towards Russ and Red's room. I knocked on the door but got no reply.
"Russ, you in there?" I called. No response.
I opened the door and stepped inside, a warm aroma of lavender greeting me. No doubt Red had created it. She loves the scent of lavender. She wants me to light some candels in our room but I don't like lavender as much as her.
The room was empty. No sign of Russ anywhere. Maybe he was doing something somewhere else. Or he could be with Felix. But then why didn't he answer me when I called?
"Felix," I called out, heading across the hall into our room. Also empty. Where are they?
"Cry!" Ken's voice called from outside. I chucked the blanket onto our bed and ran to the front door in time to open it for him. He hurried inside and tried to catch his breath. I waited patiently for him to speak.
"Whats up?" I asked calmly. He looked up at me destressed and grabbed my shoulders.
"It's Felix.... come quick," he breathed out before running off again. I quickly grabbed my jacket and ran after him, putting it on as I tried to see through the fresh falling snow. We ran to the edge of the base before turning into a nearby shed. Felix and Russ were at the other end of the shed. A zombie lay dead on the concrete floor. This can't be good.
"Felix!" I cried as I ran over to him. I fell to his side and gasped at the sight. He was drenched in blood that was trailing down his arm. A gash across his head and... a bite on his wrist.
I'm sorry. Goodbye
