Felix's pov
I don't know how long I've been running for but I don't know how much longer I can run for. My lungs are burning and my throat is dry. I don't even think anyone is following me anymore or why I'm still running in the first place but I couldn't stop. I just kept running.
But as I tried to jump over a falled branch I lost my ballance and fell. The ground seemed to give way to a steep slope and I tumbled down. The fog already made it hard enough to see and now the world was a blur as I rolled towards the unknown.
Freezing water encased me and nipped at me skin. I was completely submerged in the deep water and continued to sink deeper and deeper. I tried to gather as much energy as I could and swam to the surface.
I gasped for air but breathed in too quickly and began coughing instantly. I forgot to continue kicking and sank beneith the surface again. I tried to breath in before I was under but was too slow. The icey water flowed down into my lungs and I began to choke more, sucking in more and more water. My vision darkened and my body became numb.
I could only just hear a splash near the surface but it sounded far away. I only just felt strong arms grab onto me and pull me back towards the surface. The freezing air sinking into my skin and sending needles through my body. The pressure against my chest.
I choked and coughed up water. I was rolled onto my side and more water fell out of my mouth. The pressure in my lungs faded and I was able to breath again. I sucked in more and more air but continued to cough repetitively. I could still feel the water running down my throat and flooding my lings.
I took several gulps in hopes of getting rid of the feeling but it didn't go away. I managed to pull my body up and leant against a nearby tree as I regained my vision. I blinked several times before a burly man came into view. But he looked... familiar.
"Wh-." I tried to speak but I began coughing again.
"Easy there dude. Don't rush yourself," a very familiar voice said.
"Ken?" I croaked out once I'd stopped coughing.
"Glad you remember me Felix. At least you don't have any more brain damage," Ken said sarcastically. I shoved him playfully and, with some help, climbed to my feet.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice still shaky.
"I was on my way to an apparent safe camp around here. Hear comotion and thought I'd check it out. Good thing I did or you'd be fish food," he said serriously. "What are you doing here?"
"I just came from a safe camp actually. I... couldn't see where I was going in the fog and tripped. Happen to fall into the water and couldn't swim out," I replied as I looked at the deep lake I'd been pulled from.
"You don't have any weapons," Ken commented. I nodded slowly.
"Long story..." I didn't entirely want to talk about it right now.
"We got time. You need to get back to your camp to get warm and I need a place to stay. May as well go together," Ken said, picking up a backpack and an axe. I sighed and we began walking back the way I had just come.
Ken had to support me since my legs felt sore and weak from running and almost drowning. He also gave me a dry shirt and jacket so I wouldn't freeze in the ones I was wearing. I told him everything while we walked. From Marzia's death to running away.
I came to an end of my story just as the camp's wall came into view. I felt a little anxious to face Cry after I literally ran away from him and I'm not even sure if he wants to talk to me but I'd have to face him sooner or later.
We headed around to the front gate, since it was the only gate, and as we approached I could see Russ ontop of the same roof he was on when me and Cry had first shown up. He saw us comeing and called out.
"Who are you?"
He must not know it's me since I have the hood up. I looked up and took the hood off so he could see. He was quick to run to the ladder when he noticed who I was. But I was starting to feel dizzy and the world began to sway.
Ken sensed my sudden change and tried to support me more. My legs were becoming numb and I felt myself slip a little. Ken only just managed to catch me and lift me back up.
"Woah there Fe. You okay?" He asked as the gate began to open.
"I feel... dizzy... Ken I think I'm gonna....," I didn't finish my sentence before my vision darkened again and I fell to the ground. Voices were all around me but they were quickly drowned into silence.
~well... wake up bitch~
"He was as cold as ice Cry. And his jeans were soaked. That guy said he almost drowned. No wonder he fell unconscious," a blurred voice said. I don't know who's though.
"What if that guy lied?" Another voice said.
"Cry, why would he lie. He seemed just as destressed as the rest of us were. He even said he was an old friend of Felix's," the first voice said.
I tried to piece everything together as their conversation went on. The guy I was with? Are they referring to Ken? But he saved me? He brought me here but I passed out. What happened?
I began to cough and tried to sit up. The conversation suddenly cut short and I felt some hands lift me up. I slowly stopped coughing and looked around. Only Scott and Cry were in the room and it looked like there was some tension between the two.
"Where's Ken?"
In the bathroom
