Chapter 11

"C'mon! We'll be late!"

Hermione's voice echoed through the house. Harry hurried up his teeth cleaning and threw some shoes on. They were going to the cricket today and, Hermione being right as always, they were going to be late. Finishing his teeth cleaning, Harry opened the bathroom door and grabbed his bag and England flag. Knocking on his and Ginny's door, he said "Gin! Hermione wants us down there."

Ginny opened the door and walked out. "I'm here." she chuckled, kissing him on the lips. She too had an English flag, but unlike Harry, it was smaller and on a stick. Harry grabbed her hand and they walked downstairs, where Hermione and Ron were waiting.

"Nice of you to show up." yawned Ron. "We've got to catch the train into the stadium."

"Yes, and we're late!" said Hermione, shepherding them out the door.

"Okay, 'Mione, we get it!" said Ron, laughing. Hermione rolled her eyes, and Harry chuckled.

Once they had finally made it to the train station, they had to wait 3 minutes before the train arrived. Getting on the train, they were relieved to find that they could all sit together, one couple facing the other. They received many stares getting on the train, as they were some of the only English there.

When they got off the train, they walked into the stadium and found their seats. Hermione had a pleasant surprise for them all.

"There's a magical 'shop' type thing here!" she whispered to us. "There was a link in Runes on the website, I clicked it and it gave me directions."

"Awesome!" exclaimed Harry. Instantly forgetting about the seats, they fast-walked behind Hermione to the wizarding food shops, excited. They stopped in front of an innocent looking shop named "Draoid Airson Booth". Hermione looked at the store sign in contemplation. "That looks strangely like Gaelic."

Ron shrugged, taking her hand. "Come on, I'm hungry." The four friends walked into the shop, greeted by a man wearing muggle clothing that probably couldn't pass for normal muggle clothing. He smiled at them and asked "Wands?"

Hermione nodded and gave him her wand to check. The other three followed suit and he checked them over. Looking up to hand them back, he noticed Harry's scar.

"Are you Harry Potter?" he asked.

Harry gave a small smile. "Yeah."

"Nice to meet you! We've heard about everything you've done and how you killed Voldemort!" Harry nodded along. The assistant smiled, realising Harry's distaste for the subject. "I'll let you go." Harry laughed and shook his hand, walking further into the shop.

"Butterbeer!" exclaimed Ron, walking over to the drinks part section of the shop. Hermione rolled her eyes and followed him.

"Butterbeer?" asked Ginny, and Harry laughed, leading him and Ginny over to Ron and Hermione.

Once they were loaded up with wizarding delicacies, they went back out to their seats. Settling in, they stayed for a surprisingly long time, with both them and the game pulling up stumps at 5:30, giving them time to grab dinner at a local restaurant.

"Thanks for that Hermione!" said Ginny, and Ron and Harry nodded in agreement.

"No problems." She smiled warmly. "It's a taste of Australian culture - and Muggle culture for that matter."

Harry nodded his head. "Uncle Vernon would take Dudley to Lord's occasionally, and they'd come back with extravagant tales. I'd watch it on tv sometimes as well."

Ron screwed up his face. "It's quite confusing though... runs, stumps, bowling... to a newcomer, it's as confusing as runes."

Hermione laughed, slapping him playfully. "Runes isn't confusing and cricket isn't either. We'll teach you back in England."

"C'mon guys," said Ginny, "we've all finished, let's head home."

---

Walking into Hermione's parents' house after the half-hour train ride back, they all flopped on the couch, settling into the 7:30 Australia's Funniest Home Videos time slot. Ginny was curled up to Harry and he was stroking her hair, with Ron and Hermione in a similar position, and Hermione's parents each in their own armchair. They stayed in those positions for another 3 or so hours, only getting up for water, snacks (mostly Ron really) and the bathroom. At around 10:30, they all bid goodbye to one another and went upstairs.

Showering and changing into their pyjamas, Harry and Ginny climbed into bed and Harry wrapped his arms around Ginny's middle.

"Have a good day?" he asked.

"Yeah!" she said. "It was great! You and Hermione should teach Ron and me how to play when we go back to England. You could teach George, it'd cheer him up a bit."

Harry nodded, kissing her forehead. "I agree. Bill and Charlie'd like it as well." He laughed. "Not sure about Percy though."

Ginny laughed, burying her head in the crook of his neck. "Doubt it." was her muffled reply.

Harry laughed again and lifted her head up. He kissed her and she wrapped her hands around him. Breaking away, she replaced her head in his neck. "Night Harry. Love you."

Harry smiled, kissing her forehead. "Love you too."

---

The next morning they left Sydney, transporting all of the Grangers' things to their old house in London, which luckily hadn't sold. Keeping only the essentials, they moved on to the next destination, which was Brisbane. They stayed there for 4 days, taking a day trip to the Gold Coast. Next, they spent 4 days in Melbourne, where they went to yet another cricket game, this time at the MCG. After that, they went to Adelaide and Perth, and two weeks after arriving, flew out of the Perth International Airport.

Ron had been reluctant at first, but the other five convinced him. Harry and Ginny sat next to each other on the 11-hour flight to the Dubai stopover, as did Ron and Hermione and the Grangers. They ate a lot of food and watched many muggle movies, with Hermione and Harry introducing the two Weasleys to Star Wars, watching all three movies.

"You know they're working on another one?" said Steven.

"Awesome!" said Harry and Hermione simultaneously. Their moods were even higher than they had been before now, and the spent the 8-hour flight to Heathrow either being amazingly energetic and playing the muggle version of exploding snap, normal snap, or sleeping. Hermione had to shake Ron to wake him up when they arrived in London.

From Heathrow, the four teenagers took a portkey to the Burrow and the Grangers took one to their house, not before Hermione had made plans to get in touch within the week. When they arrived back at the Burrow, jetlagged and tired, they all said hello to the family before immediately going to bed.

"That was a great holiday." said Harry. "And it was nice to meet Hermione's parents again after so long."

"Yeah." said Ginny, nodding. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him. Harry kissed back and when they broke apart, they both climbed in to their bed, instantly asleep.

This is the first time I've uploaded twice in a month in ages XD

Hope you enjoyed it.
