"Come quickly, O death; but be sure and
don't let me see you coming, lest the pleasure
I shall feel at your appearance should
unfortunately bring me back again to life."

"All right, so let me get this straight," Steve spoke as he and Dustin made their way down the tracks, leaving a trail of cow meat as though they were Hansel and Gretel. For the past hour Dustin had been explaining why he had kept Dart and talked Steve's ear off about some girl that appeared to be Billy Hargrove's step sister. "You kept something you knew was probably dangerous in order to impress a girl who..." Steve frowned, glancing down at the kid on his right. "Who you just met?"

Technically yes, but Dustin wasn't willing to just admit that and thus he opted for a quick retort. "All right, that's grossly oversimplifying things."

"I mean, why would a girl like some nasty slug anyway?" Steve asked. Which made Dustin second guess Steve's advice fro a second, slugs were awesome and if Steve Harrington couldn't see that than maybe Steve Harrington wasn't as cool as Dustin originally thought.

"An interdimensional slug? Because it's awesome," Dustin stated as though it was common knowledge, making Steve raise a brow at Dustin. In many ways Scarlett and Dustin were very alike, but in many ways they did not resemble one another.

Deciding to not argue with Dustin because some girls might be into weird slugs, Steve shrugged. "Well, even if she thought it was cool, which she didn't, I... I just..." Steve shook his head. "I don't know. I just feel like you're trying way too hard," Steve sighed.

"Well, not everyone can have your perfect hair, all right?" Dustin quipped back, his eyes trailing from Steve's hairdo to his own frizzy curls that peeked out from under his cap.

Noticing that apparently both Henderson siblings weren't fond of their natural curls, Steve couldn't help but feel bad for Dustin. "It's not about the hair, man," Steve said sincerely. Sure the hair helped, a lot, but Steve had been popular with the girls even before he started properly styling his hair. "The key with girls is just... just acting like you don't care."

That caused a frown to appear on Dustin's face and made the younger brunet look up at Steve. "Even if you do?"

Steve nodded. "Yeah, exactly. It drives them nuts."

"Then what?"

For a moment Steve pondered trying to find the right way to describe this to  thirteen year old kid without the child's older sister berating Steve later. "You just wait until, uh... until you feel it."

"Feel what?"

Memories of Scarlett and Steve's first Star Wars marathon when he had held her waist resurfaced, accompanied by their encounter on the rooftop, their drunken kiss, the first time he had slept in her bedroom and all those times he had caught her eyes from across a room. "It's like before it's gonna storm, you know?" Steve couldn't help a smile from pulling on his lips. "You can't see it, but you can feel it, like this, uh... electricity, you know?" Steve inquired whilst throwing some more raw meat onto the rails.

Sadly Dustin was nerdier than Steve and when Dustin heard electricity before the storm, he thought of science rather than what Steve meant. "Oh, like in the electromagnetic field when the clouds in the atmosphere--"

"No, no, no, no, no. Like a..." Steve interrupted before he stopped walking and talking, mauling over his words. How the hell was he supposed to explain this appropriately? One glance at Dustin's eager face made Steve talk. "Like a sexual electricity." Dustin had fought a demogorgon, he could probably handle Steve's regular explanation.

It finally clicked in Dustin's head and he let out a soft 'oh' before jogging slightly to catch up with Steve who had already started walking.

"You feel that and then you make your move," Steve instructed, waving around his yellow gloved hand.

Clearly Dustin had never gone to Scarlett for love advice, that or Scarlett had never provided any advice because 'make a move' meant immediate kissing to Dustin. "So that's when you kiss her?"

Steve shook his head, tossing back some meat which Dustin narrowly avoided. "No, whoa, whoa. Slow down, Romeo," Dustin ushered a small sorry before Steve could continue giving advice. "Sure, okay, some girls, yeah, they want you to be aggressive. You know, strong, hot and heavy, like a... I don't know, like a lion," Another smile fought it's way onto Steve's face as he remembered a party in summer where Scarlett had gone off on a rant about her ex boyfriend who jumped the gun on every relationship milestone. "But others, you gotta be slow, you gotta be stealthy, like a... like a ninja," Steve finished, shaking the thought of the eldest Henderson from his mind.

"What type is my sister?" Well no use trying to not think of Scarlett if her little brother was just going to bring her up.

"I'm not talking to you about your sister," Steve snapped back, glaring down at Dustin who grinned.

"Really?" Dustin walked a little bit ahead of Steve before casting the teenager a look over his shoulder. "She talks to me about you." Dustin wagged his eyebrows, making Steve's eyes grow to the size of golfballs.

Jogging up to catch up with Dustin, Steve clamped his hadn't onto Dustin's shoulder. "Wait what?" Dustin shrugged off Steve's hand, grimacing as small bits of meat stuck to his hoodie. "Scara talks to you about me?"

Dustin shrugged. "Maybe," Dustin turned and continued to walk ahead of Steve. "You were the one who didn't want to talk about my sister."

That settled it, Scarlett was easily Steve's favourite Henderson, Claudia coming in second place and Mews, although deceased, was still better company than Dustin. "Fine," Steve groaned and with a few long strides he walked beside Dustin once more. "Scara is special. She's different than  the other girls," Steve let out a breath and rolled his shoulders. "Scara is just... she's something else."

Dustin observed Steve's face that looked like it was going to start hurting under the large grin that played on Steve's lips. The boy had been bluffing earlier, Scarlett had never explicitly mentioned that she had a crush on Steve, but Dustin had observed the steady increase of pictures featuring the brunet in Scarlett's room. Not to mention Dustin had overheard a few conversations where Blake had been teasing Scarlett about a certain boy. On top of all that there was the time that Dustin walked into Scarlett's room wanting to borrow a comic only to see her and Steve sharing a bed, or the time where Scarlett and Steve had been sharing a cigarette on the Henderson porch and had clearly been flirting.

"Yeah. Yeah, Scar's pretty special," Dustin muttered. "But this girl's special, too, you know. It's just, like, something about her." Dustin's giddy voice sett off various alarm bells in Steve's head.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey." Steve nudged Dustin's arm, signalling Dustin to stop.

"What?"

"You're not falling in love with this girl, are you?" Steve asked seriously, staring into Dustin's eyes  with newfound concern.

"Uh, no. No," Dustin stuttered, making Steve walk again with Dustin hot on his heels.

Steve gulped before talking again. "Okay, good. Don't."

"I won't," Dustin promised, almost raising his fist to do his and Sarlett's ritual before remembering that Steve did not know that handshake.

There was a newfound bitterness in Steve's tone. "She's only gonna break your heart, and you're way too young for that shit," Steve spoke through his death. Okay maybe he hadn't fully recovered from Nancy dumping him. It wasn't like he wasn't over Nancy, his feelings for her had died a long time ago as had his resentment towards the Wheeler girl. Steve didn't hold their break up against Nancy but that didn't mean that the pain had fully subsided, ever so often it would resurface and punch him in the face.

It happened when he saw Scarlett kissing Brian, it happened when he saw Scarlett and Brian waving at each other and it happened whenever he would see a sweet couple like Chrissy Cunningham and Jason Craver together in the hallways.

The sudden outburst caused an awkward silence to envelop the two boys as they walked along the railway before Dustin decided to speak up. "Is that why you haven't asked Scarlett out yet? Because you're in pain after Nancy."

Solemnly Steve gave one small nod. "You tell anyone that Henderson and I'll slap you hard your face is going to be as red as David Bowie's hair."

"My lips are sealed." As though to enforce his words, Dustin made a zipping motion over his lips. After that another silence befell the two. "Although my sister has said she thinks your hair is fancy and she likes your butt." Dustin smirked back to Steve who blinked down at the boy for a few beats before deciding he was uncomfortable talking with Dustin about this sort of thing. Yet Steve felt his cheeks grow slightly warm at the thought.

"Fabergé," Steve piped up.

Dustin's eyebrows shot up in search for his hairline. "What?"

The eldest of the two shook his head slightly. The fact he was about to reveal the secrets of his hair. "It's Fabergé Organics," Steve continued, still wondering to himself why the hell he was telling little Henderson all of this. "Use the shampoo and conditioner, and when your hair's damp..." Steve rose a finger to accentuate. "It's not wet, okay? When it's damp... damp" The duo continued to walk. "You do four puffs of the Farrah Fawcett spray."

For a moment Dustin didn't reply. "Farrah Fawcett spray?" Dustin's voice was shaking as the boy desperately tried to contain his bubbling laughter.

"Yeah, Farrah Fawcett," Steve spun around, glaring down at Dustin and waving a finger in Dustin's face, a piece of meat dangling between his fingers. "You tell anyone I just told you that and your ass is grass. You're dead, Henderson. Do you understand?"

"Yup."

With a sigh Steve started walking again."Okay."

Sadly for Steve, Dustin couldn't contain his amusement. "Farrah Fawcett, really?"

"I mean, she's hot," Steve defended.

"Yeah," Dustin agreed before a mischievous twinkle came to life in Dustin's eyes. "Scar's hair is a bit Farrah Fawcett." The smirk on Dustin's face caused his eyes to partly hide behind his cheeks while Steve sent Dustin a death look muttering something along the lines of killing Dustin if he didn't shut up.

About half an hour passed and the two boys inched closer to the junkyard when a natural silence befell them, allowing Steve to think of more advice to give the younger boy. "Hey Steve?" Dustin's voice sounded uncharacteristically small.

"Yeah?"

The Henderson boy bit his lip. "Look, don't hurt Scarlett, please," Steve opened his mouth to reply but Dustin didn't give the Harrington boy any time as Dustin continued. "Her last boyfriend was a pretty shitty guy, that's the real reason she's been single for nearly two years."

Now Steve had heard some rumours about what a guy Daniel Wood was. The guy had been in the band and had been known for sleeping around during concerts. Daniel was two years older than Steve and Scarlett and at first Scarlett and Daniel's relationship appeared to be going well until Daniel suddenly dumped Scarlett and boasted about sleeping with the Henderson.

Daniel Wood however was expelled that year when drugs were found in his locker.

"I won't hurt her, I promise." The again didn't slip past Steve's lips as he decided to keep that information to himself.

Back at the lab Blake was struggling with Scarlett's hair which had become very frizzy due to the Upside Down's humidity, remnants of Sacrlett's hair products, the hair not having been brushed in over 24 hours and of course Scarlett's natural hair texture. Ever so often the brunette would hiss and Blake had long stopped murmuring apologies a long time before as she braided Scarlett's hair.

As Blake's fingers scraped along Scarlett's scalp as the redhead added new strands of hair to the braid, Scarlett's mind wandered down the tunnels again. A shudder passed through Scarlett and she shook her head lightly. Perhaps she should give her therapist a call.  Amani Din and Scarlett may not have spoken in over 3 years, but Amani did say that Scarlett could always call.

As Joyce left the room to talk to some doctors, the room was silent other than Scarlett's occasional winces. The restless silence of the room was interrupted by Will's small voice. "Floyd? Mike?" Said boys who were sitting side by side, with Mike allowing Floyd to make small doodles on Mike's hand, immediately lurched towards their ill friend.

"Will? Will?"

"What's wrong? Are you hurting again?" Mike's voice was so soft, a tone few were blessed to hear.

Before Scarlett could scramble off the couch and towards Will, Blake pulled Scarlett's hair as she tied off the braid. Scarlett cast the younger teen a glare to which Blake shrugged, muttering that she didn't want her hard work to go to waste. Eventually the two teens moved to stand beside Will's bed.

"I saw something," The youngest Byers said, his eyes were uncharacteristically cold.

"In your now-memories?" Mike inquired.

Will didn't nod nor did he say yes. "The shadow monster," He started. "I think I know how to stop him."

Moments later the group had moved into a large office. On the massive oval table polaroids had been glued together to display the roots network that was curling towards Hawkins from the lab.

"Sam, this is ludicrous," One of the doctors sighed, eyeing Will who was examining the pictures.

"Just give him a moment, okay?" Sam snapped back in a relatively calm voice. The elderly man extended his arm as though to try and calm the other man down.

Sadly Sam's attempt failed as the other man piped up again. "We don't have time--"

This time it wasn't Sam who intercepted the annoying scientist, but it was Hopper.  " Hey, jackass, why don't you do us all a favour and shut up, okay?" Hopper gave the other man an intimidating glare rather than Sam's peace hand. The other man kept his mouth shut after that.

Meanwhile Will moved around the table before extending his hand and pointing at a spot on the map. "That's it," He said.

"That's what? What... what's there, Will?" Sam questioned softly as Scarlett inched closer to Will to get a better look at where he was pointing.

A scream curled from Scarlett's lips as she was forcefully dragged away from her way out. Her torso slammed onto the ground and Scarlett patted the ground trying to hold onto something as she was dragged away.

Will slowly turned his hair to gaze up at Scarlett who had stopped breathing momentarily.

The vine that had been dragging Scarlett stopped and the brunette crawled back, lighter still on in her hand. Scarlett found herself in what seemed like an intersection of many tunnels. Despite her bad eyesight Scarlett saw various carcasses around her of various animals.

She was in a tomb.

"I don't know," The boy turned away from the older teenager, his eyes focusing on the map once more. "Just know he doesn't want me to see there. I think it's important." Those words were enough to send off Hopper and the scientists on a mission.

While Mike, Floyd, Will, Bob and Joyce returned to Will's room, Blake and Scarlett excused themselves to go smoke. The guards had refused at first, but one of them ultimately caved saying he wanted to go out for a smoke anyway.

So the two teens marched behind the guard who was leading them to the rooftop. The man in question looked quite young, he couldn't be more than 9 years older than Scarlett and Blake.

The man opened the door to the rooftop with flourish before bowing with a laugh. "Ladies," He ushered before leaving the door cracked. The trio sat down on the roof and Blake provided cigarettes for the three as the guard took out his lighter, as he did a metal object gleamed in the moonlight.

"What's that?" Scarlett asked as she blew out her first puff of smoke.

The guard gave her a confused look before she nodded towards his pocket. "Oh, this thing," The guard pulled out the object and with perfected moves he clapped it open, waving it around before revealing a balisong in his hand. "I got this when I was posted in Vietnam, a man passed by our post and he was selling a bunch of knives," The man explained.

"Why would you want such a flashy knife?" Blake demanded before taking a deep inhale from her own cigarette and blowing the smoke out into the night air. "Seems stupid."

"I think it's cool," Scarlett countered, earning her an eye roll from Blake.

The guard smiled at Scarlett. "I'm Mark by the way." With a jovial grin on his face, Mark extended his hand to Scarlett who shook it.

"I'm Scarlett," Nudging Blake with her foot, Scarlett continued. "And that's Blake."

"Heya!" Blake called before she laid her back flat against the roof, her gaze focused on the stars above her. The smoke that left Blake's parted lips twisted up towards the stars, going where Blake could never venture. Carol had taken an interest in constellations before she started dating Tommy, back when Carol used her brain. Faint memories of the twins camping out in their backyard to stare at the stars, resurfaced. Blake and Carol hadn't spoken since Blake left her parents' house. The redhead took a deep inhale of her cigarette.

Life caught up to everyone, they weren't 8 year old kids anymore, they were 18 year olds on the doorstep of adulthood with labels that defined them. Blake craned her neck slightly to look at Scarlett who was in the middle of receiving a mini lesson in balisong tricks from Mark.

"This is the safe handle," Mark held out the opened knife to Scarlett as he showed her all the parts of the weapon. "This is the bite handle. The sharp side goes in here," He trailed his finger over the sharp edge of the blade. Mark closed the knife. "For the basic trick you hold it at the safe handle and just flip it open," He flicked his wrist, the handle and knife flying out. "Then you rotate like so," Mark did as he said and took hold of both handles. "Tadaa." He grinned at Scarlett.

Throwing up the knife and catching it by the blade, Mark offered Scarlett the blade as she let out a gasp at his actions. "Be careful!" Mark waved her off. "Thanks, but I'm right handed." Scarlett held up her cast encased hand.

"Well, my captain always said life is unexpected so you have to learn to do things in the worst circumstances," Mark leaned forward his cigarette dangling between his lips, causing his words to be slurred together. "Just try."

Hesitantly Scarlett took the butterfly knife and Mark gently moved her fingers to hold the handle properly and talked her through her first attempt. Scarlett dropped the knife once, twice, thrice while she and Mark laughed.

Yet they persisted and when only Blake's cigarette was still burning Scarlett did the trick successfully which earned cheers from everyone and Mark rolled his shoulders back. The man didn't notice his earpiece taking a little tumble out of his ear.

Eventually the trio got up to make their way back inside while Scarlett practiced a second trick Marc had taught her when a shriek came from the door that led to the rooftop. A shriek that made all the hairs raise on the back of Scarlett and Blake's lake as the two young women exchanged a glance.

They knew that shrieking and it wasn't good.

Only then Mark realised his earpiece had fallen out, but before he could grab his walkie-talkie, Blake stepped forward and pulled it from his belt. Mark didn't have time to react as Blake disconnected the device from the ear piece.

Before the ginger could utter any words into the radio, screams came from the other side. Throughout the evident chaos the trio could make out that there was a breach.

Immediately Scarlett rushed forward and slammed her body into the door, effectively closing it. The lights of the building flickered off and the trio was left in the dark before Mark pulled out a flashlight and put it on.

"We have to get the others out," Scarlett breathed out, still leaning against the door as though her body would be a match for a demogorgon trying to open the door.

"We have to make sure you two are safe before that," Mark muttered as he trailed away from the door, leaving Blake and Scarlett to make wide eyes at one another. "Blake, do you know how to use a gun?" Said girl shook her head, electing a groan from Mark. "Okay..." He trailed off before grabbing a discarded pipe and handed it to Blake.

The man sauntered over to the door. His dark eyes landed on Scarlett and he tentatively reached out. "Keep that close," He nodded to the balisong in Scarlett's hand. "Okay, the first exist is two floors down, we'll have to head towards the stairs."

The two girls said they understood and Blake zipped up her jacket before ushering Scarlett to walk between Mark and Blake herself. The trio creeped out quiet as mice. The radio was still in Blake's hands and she plugged the earpiece back in before shoving the radio into the waistband of her jeans, that way the monsters wouldn't hear the radio should anyone try and reach out to them.

Mark carefully opened the door that led to the stairwell and poked his head in, insuring nothing threatening awaited them. When he saw nothing he entered with Scarlett and Blake hot on his heels.

They made it down one flight of stairs before the lights flickered back on and the voice of Sam Owens crackled into Blake's ear. "Washington?"

"Sorry to disappoint, it's Blake. Over." Blake had a tiny grin as her two group members looked back at her with confused looks.

"Blake, I'm going to need you to focus or pass me to Washington or Scarlett alright?"

Blake rolled her eyes but complied. "What's happening? Over." Blake removed the earpiece and put down the volume so Mark and Scarlett could hear what Sam was saying.

"Well those things came out of the tunnels, Bob reset the computers. The other are outside already so I'm going to guide you three and Bob out of here because it's getting crowded up here," Sam explained.

"Hey Sam, put us on channel 3 so the instructions don't get mixed up," Blake ordered, after the man agreed she quickly changed the channel and the trio awaited Sam's further instructions. Guided by the man, Mark, Scarlett and Blake continued down the stairs. Sam told them the corridor was clear and the trio opened the door of the stairwell.

Jogging through the corridors, Sam mentioned that they would see Bob at their next turn. They did and they became a group of four, jogging through the lab. Mark lead the group and Blake took the rear.

"STOP!" Sam screamed, causing Scarlett to nearly slam into Bob as they all came to an abrupt halt. None of them even dared to breathe as they waited for Sam to speak.

Out of sight for the group five demo-dogs were nearing them from both sides of the corridor. "There's a door on your left, do you see that?"

"Yeah?" Bob croaked.

"That's a closet," Bob hummed at Sam's words. "I need you to get in it. All of you."

Scarlett didn't waste another moment as she turned to the door, placed the butterfly knife between her lips before ripping open the door. There was however one issue, there was no way four grown people were going to fit in that closet.

"Now! Right now. Get in the closet!" Sam belted.

Mark realised the same thing that Scarlett realised and ushered the three of them to enter the closet as he lingered outside. "No, Mark-" Scarlett was cut off by Mark who shook his head.

"I know another way out," He assured the trio, he desperately tried to make his voice not shake but he failed. Blake held out her walkie.

"Good luck," She muttered before entering the closet, pulling Scarlett with her.

Mark gave them one last smile before he closed the door and took off sprinting, firing his gun to lead the demo-dogs away from the three civilians. One of the creatures lingered behind and the trio could see its shadow peeking through the crack under the door.

Blake brought up a hand to cover Bob's mouth who was more terrified than the two girls. Scarlett meanwhile closed her eyes as she too held her breath, silently she said a prayer.

The growling of the demo-dog stopped as it ran away from the supply closet and down the hall. All three let out a shaky breath of relief.

"Jesus Christ," Bob uttered softly.

Scarlett eyed the man. "Are you okay?" She asked. While it was a stupid question because how could anyone be okay under those circumstances, Bob nodded his head.

Bob took out his earpiece so all three of them could hear Sam. Sure enough their saviour sounded through the walkie. "How you holding three up there? You all right?"

It was Blake who replied. "Yeah. Yeah, we're okay," She said. "Just get us the hell out of here." Meanwhile Scarlett inched towards the door, and took hold of the door handle. She looked over her shoulder to Blake, waiting for the go ahead.

"You got a pretty clear shot to the front door," Sam said, and Scarlett took that as her sign and carefully opened the door and stuck her head out. She slipped out of the room quietly.

"You can do this, okay? You're almost home free, all right?" Sam asked again, the soft tone in his voice sparked a memory with Scarlett. A memory where she had been in the lab in Montauk and Sam had found her in a similar supply closet after her father's death. The flashback made Scarlett's ear ring, making her miss Sam's concern towards her.

"She's okay, just a bit shaken like all of us," Blake answered as she too got out of the supply closet and moved to rest a hand on Scarlett's shoulder. "Bob," The ginger looked back at the man who was still hiding. "We gotta get moving."

So Bob did as he was told and walked into the hallway. The adrenaline rushing through his blood made him miss a mop that had shifted when the trio took refuge in the supply closet. It all happened in slow motion as the broom raced forward, past Bob's shoulder.

In a futile attempt Scarlett snapped out of her dazed state and reached out to grab the mop, but the handle slipped off of her cast. Never before had the sound of a falling mop been deafening. The trio made eye contact in one second before they heard screeching coming right towards them.

"RUN!" Sam commanded and the group did not have to be told twice as they took off sprinting.

With the advantage of her long legs and slim build, Blake ran in front of everyone and led them towards the nearest exist. Scarlett who had somehow always managed to fail gym class ended up at the rear as she tried to keep up with the other two.

A closed door greeted the group and Blake all but slammed into it as she quickly opened it and held it open for Bob and Scarlett. As soon as Scarlett passed through Blake turned and pressed her body against the door and Bob turned the lock so the door was locked.

"Bob," The trio turned to find Joyce waiting for them by the doors. Blake grabbed Scarlett's right elbow and tugged her along to the door as Bob lingered, still trying to catch his breath as he gazed at the woman of his dreams. "Thank God you're okay," Joyce said as Blake and Scarlett approached her.

Scarlett was still wheezing but managed a tiny nod to Joyce who turned back in bob to smile at him.

Suddenly a demo-dog ran in from a corridor to the right of the exit and tackled Bob, electing a scream from Joyce. The screams from Bob and Joyce made Scarlett and Blake, who were just walking through the door, look back.

The claws of the demo-dog dug into Bob's side as its flower mouth opened and the thousands of teeth sunk into Bob's neck. Scarlett felt the mostly faded scars on her cheek, neck and shoulder burn as she watched Bob get mauled.

Both teen girls screamed and Blake was about to charge forward, her pipe raised when Hopper burst into the lab after dropping Will into Floyd and Mike's arms. The chief pushed Scarlett outside and grabbed Blake before she could do anything irrational.

Hopper shoved Blake into Scarlett's arms as the two boys outside asked what had happened. Scarlett nor Blake answered as the brunette worked on keeping Blake by her side.

Some shots were fired but Hopper saw the approaching demo-dogs, soon enough they too would succumb to the beasts. The man reached forward and wrapped his arm around Joyce's waist, dragging her backwards.

Joyce screamed, and hit Hopper's arms as he kept telling her that Bob was gone and there was nothing they could do.

As soon as Hopper and Joyce walked through the door, Floyd left Will and Mike's sides and closed the door.

The familiar honk of Jonathan's car cut through Blake and Joyce's screams. "Come on! Get in!" He screamed, and Hopper dragged Joyce to the car, ushering her inside. Scarlett let Blake go and helped the two kids get Will in the car. Mike and Floyd were also shoved into Jonathan's car.

"Go on, we'll get my car!" Hopper demanded, smacking his palm against the roof of the car.

Jonathan gave Hopper a nod. "The rest is at the gate," The boy said and Hopper nodded, saying he would get them before turning back to the two girls who were left with him.

"Come on." Hopper jerked his head towards his car and Scarlett hooked her arm with Blake's to pull the redhead along. At the car Scarlett tumbled into the back while Blake took the front seat.

Not wasting a second Hopper pressed on the gas pedal sending them soaring after Jonathan's old car. When they arrived at the gate they indeed found a small group standing there, watching as Jonathan's car drove past.

With screeching tires Hopper came to a halt and honked his horn twice to catch the group's attention. "Let's go. Come on! Come on, let's go! Let's go! Come on" He screamed as Blake swung open her door and jumped out.

Dustin was the first to enter the car and as soon as he saw Scarlett in the backseat he jumped onto her, arms encasing her. "Scar!" He buried his face in the crook of her neck and although her brother's abrupt actions sent pain up her arm, Scarlett hugged him back just as fiercely.

Lucas and another ginger girl entered the car next, taking place on the backseat which was rapidly becoming cramped. Next Steve entered and the other redhead ended up half sitting on Lucas's lap.

Steve looked to the other side of the backseat where he found Scarlett and as his gaze softened he noticed the cast and bandages on her right arm. Scarlett looked away from Dustin, who much to her dismay had ended up on her lap, and her eyes met Steve's.
