Scarlett ate Claudia's waffles in silence, the blonde wasn't stupid, she knew that Dustin had snuck out the previous night. The boy had been stupid enough to trip on his way to his room, alerting the teenager, who was in the process of climbing through her own window. Sure she was a little hypocrite, but she was seventeen and Dustin was just twelve.

"Did you sleep well?" Claudia asked her two children, Scarlett nodded, she had hardly slept through the night, but Claudia shouldn't have to worry "Yeah, I dreamt that I was in space. It was so cool. I was an astronaut and I was on the moon." Dustin smiled excitedly, showing off his toothless smile and Claudia gushed as she continued to talk to her youngest about his dream, and even though Scarlett was mad that Dustin had snuck out, she couldn't help a faint smile.

"So I'll pick up Blade Runner for us to watch tomorrow." Claudia called out as the two kids walked out of the house "Okay mom." "Bye mom." After the two had fit Dustin's bike in the car's trunk, the brunette pulled out of the driveway "So, you going to tell me you snuck out, or are you gonna deny it?" She asked while rolling down the window so she could smoke while driving.

Dustin's eyes widened as he looked at her "Chill, I'm not going to tell mom." She turned on her blinker as she turned left "I just wanted to find Will." Dustin mumbled and Scarlett looked at him sideways "So I assume that Lucas and Mike also went with you?" Dustin shook his head, ready to keep his friends out of trouble "No, I went alone." Scarlett made a 'hmmm' sound, she knew better than that "I get that you want to find your friend. God knows what I'd do if Blake went missing. But I can't have you sneaking out alone." She exaggerated the word 'alone' and Dustin's face lit up and he grinned at her in his typical Dustin way, which made his eyes hide behind his cheeks "You are the best big sister."

"After school, can you come to Mike's house?" Dustin asked suddenly and Scarlett raised an eyebrow "Why?" Dustin hesitated before he answered "I have to show you something."

"So what's the capital of Canada?" Blake asked as she peered in a textbook "Ottawa?" Scarlett asked, hoping she was right "See you're good." Blake groaned before handing the textbook back to Scar "No I'm not good. I can't fail geography." Scarlett hissed as she used the book to push op her glasses before reading again "Hey Picasso." Blake smacked Scarlett's shoulder, making the brunette glare at her "Look who just walked in." Following the direction of Blake's finger, Scarlett saw Jonathan. The boy looked worse than usual.

Without a moment of hesitation Scarlett walked forward towards Jonathan, it was safe to say they were friends "Hey." She leaned on the wall and saw that he was hanging up a poster of Will. There was a picture of Will that the Henderson girl recognised, it had been Mike's birthday party and Jonathan had attended and made pictures of everyone there. Even Ted who was snoring on a lazy chair, mouth wide open, had made an appearance in Jonathan's pictures, the picture was actually that they had taken very spicy chicken and put it in Ted's mouth "Hey." Jonathan smiled weakly at the blonde "How've you guys been?" Jonathan shrugged a bit.

"Need me to go to Hopper's house and threaten him to find Will faster?" Blake asked as she leaned her elbow on Scarlett's shoulder, Jonathan chuckled a little. At least he was laughing "Thanks Blake." The redhead threw an arm around the boy's shoulders and Scarlett was reminded once more that the two were the same height. Jonathan tensed briefly and the two girl turned to look to see that Nancy Wheeler had approached the trio. If Blake were Lucas' sister, it would have been like the boys' party but the teenager edition, Scarlett thought.

"Hey." Nancy smiled sweetly at Jonathan and the boy relaxed slightly "Hey." Nancy looked at the missing person poster and shifted her books in her arms "I just wanted to say I uhm, I'm sorry about everything." Nancy tilted her head sideways but saw that the trio were looking past her at Steve, Tommy, Carol and Barb "We're all thinking about you." Blake scoffed "The only thing Tommy and Carol think about is having sex with each other, Steve only thinks about his hair. Barb I can believe." Nancy looked taken back by the tall red head, but Jonathan and Scarlett were used to it.

"It sucks." Blake opened her mouth to reply, but Scarlett kicked her friend's foot shaking her head "Yeah." There was an undertone of 'obvious' in Jonathan's voice "I'm sure he's fine, he's a smart kid." Nancy's voice was particularly sweet and Scarlett glanced in between the two teens before the bell rang "I have to go, chemistry test." Jonathan chuckled a bit "Good luck." With that Nancy left and Jonathan murmured a quick thanks before Blake and Scarlett also left him saying their goodbyes.

"Yeah she got a chemistry test between her and Jonathan." Blake cackled and Scarlett laughed "We got an A+" Blake threw an arm around Scarlett's shoulders as the pair walked towards their separate classes, which they luckily didn't have tests for that day. 

As lunch time came around, Blake and Scarlett sat down at a table "Blake, three o'clock." Scarlett said as she looked up from her lunch tray and Blake looked up confused looking in the other direction "Idiot. Other three o'clock." Scarlett hissed and Blake threw a carrot at Scarlett, causing the brunette to glare "Hello ladies." Steve smirked as he stood by their table, prompting both girls to look up and see the bitch trio, also know as Steve, Carol and Tommy "What do you want?" Blake asked looking at Carol who rolled her eyes.

"We're having a party at Steve's later." Carol started and was interrupted by Scarlett "Why does that involve us?" Tommy was about to say something but Carol spoke first "Blake you are invited so that you don't rat us out." The words pained Carol and the red head inspected her nails as if the action would soften the pain "Why would I come?"

"There is a pool, there will be beer and Nancy and Barb will be there." Steve quickly interjected before Carol or Tommy could blow up at the girls "Just come okay?" Steve looked at the girls and Scarlett looked at Blake, if the red head went, she'd try and get Scarlett to come too "Fine I'll come, we both will." There it was, now the brunette would have to go too, she'd just call Claudia and say she was helping Blake study for a test or something.

Scarlett got out of her car as she arrived at the Wheeler house. She rang the bell and waited patiently for someone to open that door, it ended up being Mike "Come on." The boy grabbed her wrist and dragged her through his house "Hey, hey Mike, why the rush?" Scarlett asked "Oh hey Scarlett, what are you doing here? Are you staying for dinner?" Karen asked and Scarlett managed to get out a hey before Mike talked for her "She's here to pick up the rest of the campaign, and she'll be staying for dinner if you don't mind." Mike didn't wait for an answer as he set off running to a bedroom.

"Okay, what the hell is going on here?" Scarlett looked down at the three boys and Lucas was obviously annoyed "When we snuck out to look for Will, we found her. Now you have to promise you won't tell anyone about this." Dustin said and Scarlett nodded warily "Okay." Dustin held up his hand at her and his sister quickly high-fived his hand before the siblings twirled their fingers in sync, it was their way of making an unbreakable promise.

Mike walked towards his closet and opened the light door to reveal a girl that must've been around the boys' age, what stood out was that the girl's hair was shaved in a buzzcut "Hey, El. This is Scarlett, or Scar for short. She's Dustin's older sister, you can trust her." Mike explained as he pointed at Scarlett first, who had crouched down a little to seem less intimidating, even if she was on the shorter side. Dustin seemed to glow up when Mike said that she was his sister.

"Hey El?" Scarlett looked at the girl who didn't seem to trust the elder girl at all "Her name's Eleven, we found her in the woods." Dustin explained and Scarlett's eyes widened "You found a girl in the woods and you didn't call the police?!?" At her words Eleven recoiled "That's what I wanted to do." Lucas sounded truly annoyed, probably because his two friends weren't listening "Bad men." Eleven spoke up and Scarlett frowned in concern.

The boys explained that Eleven had powers, Scarlett hadn't believed them, but nonetheless she promised to talk to El "So what do you want me to do?" Scarlett asked after the boys were done explaining "Well I don't know, but maybe she could talk better to you seeing you're a girl and you're older." Dustin shrugged and Scarlett nodded slowly "Okay, what about I talk with her tomorrow, I have to be somewhere later." The boys nodded and the four went downstairs for dinner and Scarlett waved fondly at Eleven before closing the bedroom door.

"Mrs. Wheeler, would it be okay if I used your phone to call my mom?" Scarlett asked "Of course dear, and call me Karen." Scarlett nodded in thanks and walked over to the phone.

Dinner went slowly, the boys were quiet and probably thinking about Eleven. Nancy was busy thinking about the party later and Scarlett felt a tinge of guilt for lying to her mom, while she worried about El and thought of excuses to use in order to leave the party early.

"Something wrong with the meatloaf?" Karen asked as she saw that the boys were barley eating "Oh, no, I had two bologna sandwiches for lunch." Dustin explained and as he received questioning looks, he smiled "I don't know why." Scarlett chocked on her water and Nancy tapped her friend on the back "Me, too." Lucas chuckled uneasily and Scarlett mentally face palmed.

"It's delicious, Mommy." Nancy spoke in the voice that meant she about to ask something and was trying to convince her mom to allow her to go "Thank you, sweetie." Karen looked at her eldest daughter gratefully "So, there's this...special assembly thing tonight for Will at the school field. Scar's driving and we're picking up Barb." Karen's eyes narrowed and she stopped feeding Holly to look at Nancy "Why am I just hearing about this?" Nancy shrugged innocently.

"I thought you knew." Scarlett discreetly hid her smile behind her glass of water "I told you, I don't want you out after dark until Will is found." It was reasonable
"I know, I know, but it'd be super weird if I'm not there. Besides, Scar and Barb are allowed to go." Karen looked at Scar and the brunette nodded, on the inside she questioned why she was helping Nancy lie their way to a party that Scarlett didn't even want to go to "Just... be back by 10:00." Nancy opened her mouth to speak but Karen continued "I don't care if Scar's allowed to stay out longer than you, she's older. Also, why don't you two take the boys, too?" Karen asked with good intentions, only for all the boys to shout no.

"Don't you think you should be there? For Will?" Karen asked surprised, but the boys were distracted as they saw Eleven walk down the stairs, just as Karen and Nancy were about to turn and look, Dustin slammed his fists on the table "Sorry. Spasm." Scarlett mentally face palmed, her brother was smart, but sometimes she suspected his braincells were playing hide and seek.

Holly whimpered, shocked due to the sudden sound "It's okay, Holly. It's just a loud noise." Karen whispered, turning to her youngest child to comfort her, the woman completely forgetting about the boys not wanting to go to the school assembly.

When Scarlett and Nancy had arrived at Barbara's house, Scarlett had gotten a flat tire, and since the girls weren't in the mood to change a tire, they all just got in Barb's car.

"Barb, pull over." Nancy suddenly said while they were at least three blocks away "What?" Asked the curly haired girl "Pull over!" Barbara frowned but pulled over nonetheless "What are we doing here? His house is three blocks away." Barbara argued as Scarlett leaned forward.

"We can't park in the driveway." Nancy said, sounding like she was pointing out an obvious fact, causing the two other teens to share a look "Are you serious?"

"Yeah, the neighbors might see." Nancy argued and Scarlett raised her eyebrows "You think the neighbours will recognise Barb's car and proceed to call your mom?" Nancy shrugged at Scarlett's statement and Barb shook her head "This is so stupid. I'm just gonna drop you two off."

"If she's not going, tell Blake I'm sorry, but I'm not going,"

"Calm down, Barb, Scar. Come on. You both promised that you'd go. You're coming. We're gonna have a great time." Nancy spoke calmly and Scar sighted in defeat "He just wants to get in your pants." Barb spoke up, she was referring to Steve of course "No, he doesn't." Nancy chuckled "Nance... seriously. He invited you to his house. His parents aren't home. Come on, you are not this stupid."

"Tommy H. and Carol are gonna be there."

"Tommy and Carol have been having sex since, like, seventh grade. It'll probably just be, like, a big orgy." Nancy shuddered "Gross." "I'm serious!" Barb tried to get through to her friend with no avail "Look Nancy, sex is great. But you're gonna want the first time to be with a nice guy or gal. It's fine if you have sex with Steve, but make sure it's on your terms too if you do." Scarlett offered and Nancy hesitated before nodding gratefully at the elder girl.

"Is that a new bra?" Barb asked as she looked at Nancy while the girl changed "No."

"Hello, ladies." Steve opened the door for the trio and faint music was heard in the background and the girls walked past the tall teenager and Scarlett couldn't help but feel goosebumps on the back of her neck.

Blake and Scarlett sat together on a lounge chair as they shared a cigarette between them "One! Two! Three!" Tommy shouted as he lifted Carol up and almost dangled her above the pool "Stop it, Tommy, no! Don't! You're such an asshole, Tommy." Carol shoved a laughing Tommy as Barb shifted uncomfortably.

Steve grabbed a can of beer and made a hole with a knife before drinking the whole thing "Is that supposed to impress me?" Nancy said as she looked at Steve amused "You're not?"

Scarlett tuned out the rest of the conversation as she sat up to light another cigarette "Stop shoving the couple in our faces." Blake shouted at Steve and Nancy, causing Steve to roll his eyes and turn back to Nancy "Okay, party girl. Why don't you just, uh, show us how it's done, then?" Nancy got up "Okay."

"You gotta make a little hole right in"

"I got it."

They all watched as Nancy repeated Steve's previous actions before Tommy, Carol and Steve started chanting 'chug chug'. Scarlett nodded impressed at Nancy "Barb, you wanna try?" The curly haired girl looked taken back "What? No. No, I don't want to. Thanks." Unfortunately, the others started to press her to join "Nance, I don't want to."

"It's fun! Just give it a shot."

"Guys lay off. She's our designated driver. Besides she doesn't want to." Scarlett argued but stopped as she saw Barb get up "Okay." Unfortunately Barbara's knife slipped and the girl cut herself "Barb, you're bleeding." "I'm fine." The girl hissed before looking at Steve "Where's your bathroom?"

"Oh, it's... It's, uh, down past the kitchen, to the left."

"Okay. Thanks."

Tommy pushed Carol into the pool "Oh, my, God! What the hell, Tommy?" The others laughed and Tommy jumped in to join "No!" Steve pushNancy in before he urned to Scarlett who was in the middle opening a can of beer "No. No. Steve no." The boy picked her up in his arms and tossed her in the water before jumping in himself "Whoo!"

"Cannonball!" Blake called before jumping in as well. The six teenagers started throwing and splashing each other, completely oblivious to the guy with a camera in the woods.

"Ugh I'm freezing." Carol groaned and Tommy turned to look at her cheekily "Well I hear his mom's room has a fireplace." That was enough for the couple to walk off to have sex in the other room "Are you kidding? Okay, well, you know, you're cleaning the sheets Steve called "I'm leaving in an hour, if you're not in the car then I'm leaving you." Blake shouted as he sister walked away.

Scarlett emerged from the toilet, using a towel to dry her hair "Where's the rest?" Her question was directed at Blake seeing as Steve, Nancy and Barbara where nowhere to be seen "Steve and Nancy are having sex no doubt, and I think Barb went home." Seeing Scarlett's reaction to her driver having left "I van drive you later."

"Thanks."
