Prologue. A Girl Driven To Complete Insanity
PROLOGUE, A GIRL DRIVEN TO INSANITY
She can still vividly hear the blood curling screams from the ones who never made it out the island. She can hear own screams, it haunts her. It's worse when she's left unattended. Her nails digging deeply into her own skin, peeling her own skin just to feel any tiny ounce of pain that she can.
She deserves to feel punished.
Her therapist keeps insisting that it isn't just survivors guilt, but also postpartum. She given birth to her daughter three months later. This is a experience that she hasn't seemed to ever remember. This was the first time that she had hurt her own-self. Punishment. A good mother should remember their child's milestone even if it was terrifying.
She doesn't feel like a good mother.
All the times that she attempted to reassure herself. It wasn't enough. No matter how many times that Jun-ho spent reassuring her it was never enough.
All she felt was guilt.
Guilt.
Guilt.
Guilt.
This was a constant cycle that kept repeating itself —— A cycle that began from the moment she was leaving the island when he had found her. He had not expected her to even be there to begin with. All of the apologizes pouring out her mouth, soft whimpers escaping her mouth as she was shaking from cold and also fear. Not only did she feel guilt for surviving, but also for falling in love with someone in the island.
Falling in love with the very same man from the bar. The father to her child. The man who knew of the games.
This was an eternal guilt that had constantly ate her from the inside out for years.
This driven her down to insanity. Almost killing her.
But she's still here. Alive.
This is probably not the best
prologue. A very short paragraph to prepare
for the first chapter.
I forgot to mention there will be
cheating. I'm sorry.
