Lan Xichen followed his brother between Gusu pavilions, with hidden smile on his face

"Why do you look still sad and cold when he is finally here? Weren't you waiting for this?"

"Who do you mean gege?" Lan Zhan lowered his head, hiding little blush

"Young master Wei, i know for all those years you're longing for him, although you never said your older brother can always read every feelings of yours"

"You're right, but think i was wrong thinking everything would be the same as before"

"Did he changed Wang Ji?"

"No it's me who changed, Wei Ying is the same naughty and guess even dumber"

Xichen couldn't help himself but laugh "so what is the problem?"

"The feelings i got after meeting again, doesn't fit in friendship anymore. I'm nervous when he looks at me, touches me, what if he notices? I'm going to lose him again, this time forever"

"Wangji" Xichen gently petted his brother's shoulder "there is no way someone can read expressions on your face, except me. about your feelings don't be ashamed, love is always beautiful and never wrong. Have faith, if you're meant to be, life will always finds it's ways for you two to be together"

"I'm bored, i'm so bored" Wei Ying hopped on the bed, jumping like monkey

"You're going to break the bed, come down" Jiang Cheng held him, trying to stop

"Jiang Cheng, i was feeling so happy while coming here, after all these years we finally met,  but look he is acting like total stranger" pouted  Wei Ying, sniffing his nose

"What were you expecting? You aren't kids anymore, to play around. he is just behaving like adult and you have to do same"

"but i won't let him"  mischievous smile appeared on Wei Ying's face "i'll make Lan Zhan gone crazy, you know that isn't hard for someone like me"

" i was such a unlucky boy, watching and bearing all your craziness, now i'm happy you have other subject, it's Wangji's  time now to  suffer"

"you act like grumpy all the time, but i know how much you loves your naughty brother" laughed Wei Ying and hopped on Jiang Cheng's back, causing themselves fell on the bed together. Cheng rolled his eyes, trying to freed himself from Wei Ying's tight grasp 

"a Xian, you're choking me, let go" 

"no i won't, let sleep like that ok?" 

"someone please save me" cried out Cheng, sadly no one could see his happy and lovely smile, intended for only Wei Ying

Lan Zhan was wondering around the Gusu to find Wei Ying, literally vanished for whole day. he knew best that naughty boy could get into big trouble anytime and everywhere. remembering his every childish and cute act Lan  Zhan's face brightened from joy, although he couldn't openly express his feelings still watching his love this near was making him so happy. Lan Zhan sighed and entered the library, the view in front of him made him totally speechless. Wei Ying was peacefully sleeping, with Lan Zhan's books under his head, his robes were half opened revealing some parts of his milky skin. Lan Zhan gasped and moved closer, silently adoring his beauty.

"do you know how long i was searching for you, how much i was worrying  and you're this close? wish i can punish you severely, in my way" imagining some dirty scenes in his mind, Lan Zhan got embarrassed of himself  "what am i thinking?" he sat down and leaned his head on the table, moving his face closer to Wei Ying's. his calm and warm breath made Lan Zhan's heart full of happiness. Wei Ying's long eyelashes're almost touching his face, Lan Zhan softly kissed his forehead, slowly moving down. Wei Ying's rosy parted lips were inviting him but Lan Zhan quickly moved back, scared of the sin he was just going to commit.

"can you stop being this adorable?" whispered him and was going to get up but touch on his hand stopped him 

"don't leave, don't leave me alone" Wei Ying was begging in his dream, feeling soft touch on hair, he slowly opened the eyes and seeing Lan Zhan his face brightened with happy smile "Lan er gege, you're here. sorry for messing your  library but i was too tired and sleepy"

"you're doing absolutely nothing  except sleeping  here, guess what is tiring you" 

"teasing you" Wei Ying giggled cutely, causing Lan Zhan's little smile

"thought you wasn't able to sleep without holding someone" memories about their first meet popped up in his mind

"i had to, cause no one was left next to me hold" tears started forming in his eyes, Lan Zhan regretted his words but waited for  Wei Ying to open his heart  "at first it was mom or dad, and then it was you Lan Zhan but after they left me and i was separated from you too... it was hard but i had to learn sleeping alone. you know? Jiang Cheng hated me at first,  i was someone who stole dad from him, he was thinking like that, so before i couldn't ask him to stay with me"

Lan Zhan lowered his head, hiding sudden tears. his heart was hurting so much imagining baby Wei Ying living with totally stranger people, enduring undeserved hate, maybe crying every night left alone in the darkness. what if he could stay with him before, what if they could live and grown up together

"but i found alternative" continued Wei Ying with carefree voice "the red ribbon left from my mom and your inner shirt, i can hold them while sleeping" 

"my what?" Lan Zhan just noticed his write tiny shirt in Wei Ying's hands  "how do you have this?"

"i stole it before leaving cloud recesses" smiled  Wei Ying "to keep something from you" 

"and you're saving it for all this years?" Lan Zhan heard  his voice shaking

"why are you so surprised? hey Lan Zhan are you really crying or?..."

"thanks Wei Ying, thanks for coming back" this was first time in his life  Lan Zhan thanked someone, cried and smile in front of someone. Wei Ying softly held his hand and moved closely "so you have emotions too?"

"only for you" Lan Zhan's  words were short but full of meaning...

"doctor? hey lunatic" loud shout at his ear made zhan awake, yibo's face was only inch apart of his

"lan zhan" whispered him, moving closer to capture yibo's lips but the latter one glared at him

"i know we aren't lovers and all but calling me someone's name, still hurts a little you know? and can you let me get up? my bones are almost broken cause of you"

"but why?" Zhan just realized Yibo's waist was tightly trapped between his legs and he was holding his hand too "i'm sorry" awkwardly smiled Zhan and let go, his eyes followed Yibo rushing in the bathroom  "guess my old, weird habit is back too, with you...

I know Lan Zhan talks too much in my story 😅 but let him be 😍 i really missed writing about WangXian 🥰
