Noise!

Ryan then felt something and looked up the shaf, seeing someone peering over the edge from several levels above them.
He quickly went and aimed his riffle at it, Bang!

The figure instantly disappeared as Ryan lowered his rifle and kneel down on the side of the sobbing Kate.
"Kate! Come on! We got to go!" Ryan exclaimed as he helped the girl up and the two runs over to the stairs.

Footsteps...Footsteps

Ryan and Kate run upstairs, in search of Emma's attacker.
They jump over the gap in the stairs before making to the top and across to the side of the elevator.

"Come on!" Ryan said as he went up and started to climb up the side of the elevator.

Once Ryan and Kate made it to the top, he turns and jump onto a ledge.
Ryan turn around to see Kate still hanging on, "Kate! Come on!" he yelled.
"I'm scared!" Kate shouted back as she cling onto the side of the elevator for dear life, terrifying of the height below.
"Kate jump! I will catch you!" Ryan called as he held his hands out.
She hesitated for a moment before Kate went and jumped across.
Ryan caught Kate and pulled her up, onto the platform.

*Tunnel*

"Shit! There he is!"

The two went and follow him from a distance as he calmly walking.
Ryan went and attempts to shoot the man with the riffle, pullkkg the trigger.

But...

Ryan finds the gun jammed, "Come on, come on" he said over and over as the man continue walking away.

Groan

"Piece of shit" Ryan curses as he threw the gun aside.
"Come on" Ryan said as he grab Kate hand and the two continue on, following the man.

The man jumps down a hole before went through a open gate.

Noise!

Suddenly the gate started to go down, "Shit!"
Ryan and Kate immediately made a for the gate, Footsteps...Footsteps
The two reach the gate before it closed and slides past under the gate before it fully closes.

Slam!...Breathing

"That was close!" Kate exclaimed as the two took a break to breath.

Ryan look and see a lantern on a rock nearby.

Ryan walked over to the lantern and grabs it off the rock.
He went and got a lighter from his pocket as Kate made her way over.
Ryan turns it on before he went and light the lantern, lighting the way before the two.

*Outside*
"What were you doing in the mines in the first time?" Ryan asked as the two made their way out of the mines.
"Josh wanted some wood for the fire so me and Blake offered to go. We got there, but there wasn't no wood. So Blake suggested to go back. But I offered to stay there as Blake goes back to the lodge. Then I was suddenly attacked and chase by someone...or something" Kate explained.
"Are you alright?" Ryan ask her in concern and Kate look down at the ground.
"Kate..." Ryan trailed off and tears formed in her eyes.
Ryan went and hug Kate, comforting the girl as in the distance is..THE SANATORIUM!
