Xiao Zhan's POV:

As my visions blurs I find Ru smiling at me. No, not at me but at Sharon. Apparently my dear nephew is giving me a message. Ru is unaware of the connection between us.

Sharon needs to be safe.

"I know my Master escaped because he was scared that I would attack you. If not for you, Master would still be by my side. I swore to keep you from harms way and I will. There are too many eyes on us in this city. Once Master joins me, soon we'll leave for another safe place."

"Did you get that?" Sharon enquires once Ru walks out of the room. "Yes, I did. Where are you? By the looks of your surrounding it seems you're staying in a hotel." He definitely didn't appear to be hurt, more so he really looked warm and comfortable. "I am unsure of which hotel this is but yes, it seems to be a plush one too."

"Can you walk upto the window and tell me what you see? Any specific landmark or something special that catches your eyes?" I probe and he complies. At first it didn't seem out of the ordinary but when he turns his head to the right, I gasp.

Fuck.

"Sharon, be careful. I know where you are. Stay safe. I'll meet you soon." I change my voice to comfort him. "Where am I?" He questions and I shake my head "No. It's better if you're unaware about it. I don't wish to give him any ammunition. As far as possible don't act out of the ordinary and don't contact me again until I knock into yours. Stay safe. I'll be there soon."

"Alright but why does this man keep calling you Master?" He enquires and I am perplexed on how to answer his question. How do you tell a 12 year old kid about the lifestyle you're in?

"I'll tell you when we meet" I dodge the question and as I am about to leave Sharon calls for me "Xiao Zhan" he pauses and very unlike him, in a soft voice he whispers "Please be safe."

Kid

I nod and the vision blurs out.

I open my eyes to witness each pair of concerned gazes on me and that makes me grin. "What?" I nod as Jun places a cup of fresh tea in front of me and stealthy I steal a toast from Drew's plate. Yummy.

"Care to tell us what just happened now?" Sean questions impatiently as I take a sip of my tea. "Oh I just had a vision. Sharon contacted me. I did see Ru too. He thinks if it weren't for saving Sharon, I'd still be with him now."

"Wait! What's going on? How can Sharon contact you through your vision?" Sean enquires and that's when I realise that these guys aren't aware of the entire story.

"Ah well care to hear a story which is fantasy based?" I grin and taking my time, I explain as to what transpired when I was abducted and held captive.

I don't reveal the fact that Sharon is Baoshan Sanren. That would make this story far more complicated than it already is. Nor do I bother explaining who Lan Zhan and Wei Ying are. Well that's for BoBo and me to know.

However I do tell them for how my dormant powers were awakened by another seer. "So you're saying that the Xiao Zhan in front of us is a seer too? Is that the reason your eyes are grey?" Jun places another toast in front of me and I nod. "Zhan, do you know where Sharon is held captive?" Jun probes and I pause. I can't tell them the location. My eyes seek the alert ones of BoBo and my soul knew that if he were to become aware, he'd barge in and... I can't risk anyone's life right now.

So I lie.

"Sharon is unaware of where he is." Fuck, if you technically see, I am not lying. Sharon really isn't aware of this location. Ahem. 

"So what should we do now?" Adrian enquires and I take a bite of my toast. "I have a plan but I need all your support. It's risky but this needs to happen" looking into their eyes I implore them to understand the intricacies of the potential danger but the necessity too.

"What's your plan?" Ryan who was quiet and patiently listening to the entire story finally questions "By the look on your face something tells me that it's going to be dangerous." Ah this man gets me!

"Won't lie about the danger but one thing I know for sure is that I'll be safe" taking a sip I continue "promise me that you all will hear me out first?"

They nod albeit with hesitation.

"I need him to abduct me again" before they could jump in and deny my plan, I remind them of their promise. BoBo was fuming but I could deal with him later. "My main aim is to protect Sharon and lead him to safety. I know for sure that Ruan will not hurt me."

"Why won't he hurt you?" Ryan enquires and I smile sadly "Do you remember the incident when Yibo and I were kidnapped? There was another captive in that house. A child. Though not kidnapped, but he too was a victim. Victim of cruel circumstances. That child was none other than Dr. Li Ruan Suk."
I remenice the story of our childhood. The story of how his father traumatized all of us.  The reason he turned out to be the way he is. Him killing his father as a revenge for the grevious hurt he caused to me. His undying hope that we would be reunited which caused him to kill all these children. Grief yet revulsion on all their expressions were apparent.

"Why did he kill those children?" Adrian was the one to question and I rub my temples. This is way too complicated but I tried to answer his question. "He thinks we are some reincarnation from previous lives. He believed those children were bad people who hurt me in our past life. He was seeking revenge."

"That's" Sean grimaces "I have no words to describe this kind of lunacy."

"So he is in love with you?" Drew frowns and I shrug "Won't say he's in love with me but he associates me with a memory that brought him warmth during those dark times. I was his only friend who treated him well. During our ordeal I once made a promise to stay by his side and escape that hell hole together. He was the reason that Yibo and I were rescued. Unfortunately my memories were lost forever and Yibo does not remember the 10 year old kid who was there for us."

"Zhan" Jun walks over to where I was standing "are you sure your plan would work?"

"I am positive. Let me explain my plan and then maybe you all would be convinced. As I said, Sharon is a seer. We're both connected through our bloodline. Once my abduction is staged, I will compel Ruan to set Sharon free. He will listen to me and Sharon will be safe. In the meanwhile Sharon will contact one of you and here is where I'll need all your help. Rescue him. I'll be in touch with you boys through Sharon. Ruan is unaware of my connection with him and until that's under the wraps, we're all safe."

"When do we play this out?" Adrian places an arm around Bobo and his back stiffens. I need to talk to him soon.

"Sharon will contact me. In my vision Ruan spoke of leaving this city soon. When the time is right, I'll make my move. Until then someone check their phone and tell me if there is any news on Xiao Zhan?" I wink and they were taken aback by my sudden change of topic.

Adrian was quick to check his phone and gasp "Fuck. Check this out!" He hands over his phone to me and I grin "Perfect."

It was a video of me in the gym, kicking ass of the cop who thought too mighty of himself. There were no photos of BoBo and me during our lunchtime. That's a surprise.

"Why are you so happy?" Jun stands by my side, careful not to touch me but was peering into Adrian's phone. "Sole owner of Xiao Zhan Group of Hotels is one sexy  multi-talented man. As one can see from the leaked video, he sure has some great moves." Jun reads out and I take a bite of my now cold toast.

"This was your plan all along, wasn't it?" Jun looks up and I nod. That very instant the hair on my body tingles and I turn to look at BoBo. Fuck. He looks pissed off. "The gym part was not planned but yes if not for the gym then I was to take you guys out for some entertainment" I try to clear things.

"Why?" Drew was perplexed and I explain further "Ruan's men have been keeping tabs on me. For me to lure Ruan out of his cave I need to look carefree. Had I informed you all before, you'd not have let your guards down and he would have sensed my plan.
I wanted his possessiveness to get the better of him as he's bound to make a mistake and he did. Last evening while Yibo drove us back here, one of Ruan's man was tailing us. Another was standing inside the gate. He had disguised himself as a courier guy. Never before have they been so hyper. He has always carefully planned his tactics. The moment I saw this, my soul knew that he's planning on fleeing and according to Sharon that's what is going to happen.

"Boys, I can get him but then you need to follow through with my plan. I can't be worrying about hurting you all when I am out there."

"Why do you trust him to not hurt you? We understand that he has some feelings for you but" Drew pauses and frames his words carefully "there is a story beyond what you have revealed. Isn't it?"

Sighing at his deduction I nod "There is and you're right about a story."

The scars on my back is a story that not many should know about. BoBo knowing about the pain is more than I can take. The boys should not know about them.

Looking into their eyes I say with conviction "Trust me is all I can plead. Don't ask me any questions where this soul has to lie."

A moment later they all agree and Adrian questions "I know you've stated this but any idea when Sharon would contact you again?"

"I have no clues but something tells me it would be soon." I place my now empty plate in the sink "Well if you all would excuse me now, I have some work that needs my attention. Meet y'all later" with a salute I walk past them and enter my office.

Once there I fish out my phone and send a quick text to the only person who can help me at the moment.

He is the only person I trust who can keep his emotions at bay. Trusting him to come soon, I walk over to my desk and take a seat to write a letter.

Dear BoBo...

"Often when a soul is alone it does not realise the beauty of being together.
Each pain is absorbed for eternity and time is just a concept.
But when a flower blooms and the end is near, regret becomes prominent and the hope for future becomes desperation."

A knock on my door and I greet the man in front of me "Ryan." Gesturing him to take a seat in front of me, he locks the door and smiles warmly "As per your request, I sent the boys on an errand. You wanted to see me?"

"Can I trust you?" I enquire and his eyes are calm as he answers "You already do. Isn't that the reason I am here?" I smile at his perception. True.

"I know where Sharon is held captive." His eyes widen as he did not expect me to share this news with him "At this very moment Sharon is in XZ International Hotel. Which is just at the outskirts of the city. Through my sources I know which floor and room number he's being held in. Ofcourse no one is aware of the kidnapping."

"If you knew then why didn't you inform the boys about it?" Ryan enquires patiently and I smile "Because they would barge in and disturb the tranquility of every guests and employees in my hotel. Not only would they put themselves in danger, but everyone in the premise too and moreso my parents who have created a legacy of the company, that would also be tainted. One Xiao Zhan's life won't matter but there are thousands of people associated with Xiao Zhan Group of Hotels. Sharon will be saved but for that I need to be involved."

"What are you planning?" Ryan probes and I reveal my plan "Ruan has been keeping tabs on Chen and Xue Yang, so any appointments made, Ruan would be intimated. Tomorrow I'll make one with Chen. It would be then when Ruan would make his move. I'll be ready for him."

"Is that all?" Ryan looked a bit pensive but I knew he trusted my plans "Would all this work?"

I look down at the Red String of Fate glowing. Hopefully this would lead BoBo to me safely but for now this has to work.

"Yes, it will. Could you give these to the boys tomorrow? Once I am abducted these letters would calm them down." He takes the envelope from me and his gaze meets mine when he comes across the name Yibo. "Also kindly give this to JC and ask him to pass on my letter to uncle." Without another word Ryan sighs but accepts the responsibility.

Just before he leaves, he turns around and narrows his eyes "This better work Zhan because the last time you were hurt, your uncle threatened me" at his words I chuckle and his eyes warm "I trust you. You saved all of us. Just be careful tomorrow" he pauses "and one more thing, tonight I am taking Drew, Sean and Jun out for dinner. You have the house to yourself."

He leaves the room and I grin. Is Ryan giving me his permission to be naughty with BoBo?

I get back to my work and in the meanwhile call Ms. Banks.

As Ryan promised there was no one home save BoBo who is locked in his room. Come on Zhan, you won't get tonight again. Make the best use of it. Talk to BoBo.

With all my courage I walk over to his bedroom and knock at his door. A moment later it opens and I find him shirtless and in jeans. His eyes widens and the next second I am pulled in with my back crashing against the wall. His lips are on me and his bite makes me bleed.

"Stop" I command and he backs off. "On the bed." His gaze meet mine and with an air of mock arrogance he complies. Interesting. I smirk.
