"Are you sure this is going to work, Kasey?"

"It's the only solution, Raina," Kasey sighed, with them trying to cover for him as he had tried to call Sienna Rose.

The plan was to call her, and maybe she could have infiltrated with the CCTV camera system somehow, considering how she was so good with computers.

Not just the CCTV cameras in the store, but maybe she could have taken them off of lockdown mode in general through some haywire method no one could think of at the moment.

Computer Science was most definitely not their expertise.

For this to work though, Kasey had to be very discreet because as soon as Latroy and/or one of his friends had caught them...

Then they were literally done for.

Raina had kept on worrying that this plan wasn't going to work out, with Kasey and Leilani too for that matter telling her that everything was going to be fine.

All Kasey had to do was to call Sienna Rose.

Who didn't pick up.

Hey, this is Sienna Rose
I'm really sorry that I couldn't pick up your call right now
But you can leave a message after the beep and I'll immediately get in touch with you, bye!

Sienna Rose can't take your call right now, her voicemail had told them. Please leave a message after the-

Kasey didn't even wait for her voicemail to say the word beep before he had found himself texting her instead of calling her back.

Latroy was pretty nearby with Raina, Leilani, Riki Yvette and Brianni covering for him.

Without even checking for typos, Kasey had texted her back. And he wanted it to stay that way too since he didn't want anyone to die or get seriously injured because of him.

Also is it okay if we text? We can't really talk right now through the phone anymore

He would have explained what had happened but he wanted to see if she would have responded first, and how fast too.

It had then dawned on Leilani that Kasey could have sent her a voice message on WhatsApp or something but he didn't think of that.

Plus that was kind of the same as calling her as he was talking into his phone either way. Things were by far too risky for that right now, that was for sure.

Sienna Rose didn't reply for like ten minutes, even though it had said that she had read Kasey's message.

"Damn. She left you on read?" Brianni had whispered when Kasey had told all of them the outcome. "Yeah, this seriously can't be good."

"Maybe she didn't realise she had read your message," Riki Yvette had assured him when she had seen Kasey's discontent facial expression. "Not all hope is lost, love. The possibilities are endless."

When Sienna Rose or most people had left someone on read, they had left them on read.

They didn't know how to reply.

They didn't want to.

Or they simply didn't care.

Now there were some instances where someone had left someone on read accidentally, but even then Sienna Rose had hardly ever done that, hence why Kasey's hope was kind of lost.

Luckily for Kasey though, it had turned out that Riki Yvette was right, with Sienna Rose texting him back 12 minutes and 37 seconds later.

Didn't even realise I had opened the message. Just unlocked my phone and WhatsApp was the first thing that came up.
Not gonna lie your siblings are doing my head in! They currently have the flu
And yeah, we can text!

Kasey had silently read that out as more people had gotten shot, and now there were about 20 people left, the day had started with 50.

When he had read that out, he had cheered along with the rest of them.

He had texted her back but then he had taken too long at the same time because he didn't know how to explain himself.

Raina Riele rolled her eyes and she did it.

We don't know how you're gonna do it but we need you to hack into the system of TTNT
Turn off the CCTV cameras
And remove us from lockdown mode
All without making a sound. As in you have to be seriously clandestine about it.

She had gotten that but she didn't know how to do that.

They groaned.

"Oh well," Leilani lied. "It was nice being alive."

At this point, they had all given up hope, that was until Kasey had explained to her how she could have done it.

There was this website about their store where Sienna Rose could have seen like a map of the place, which was there in the first place in case someone wanted to shop online and they wanted to see what the place had looked like at the same time.

The maps had led to individual rooms as well.

One of the rooms was where the CCTV cameras could have been controlled, which was also thankfully the place where lockdown mode could have been deactivated as well.

Sienna Rose was in there and she could have seen it.

She cheered.

Then Raina Riele had remembered something.

"Oh my gosh, Sienna!"

What? She texted back, and Raina Riele had almost dangerously voice messaged her.

"When you somehow deactivate lockdown mode, you should make it as loud as possible! I know I said make it discreet but if you make it loud, then it might potentially distract Latroy and his friends! Then it would be easier for us to run away as they're trying to solve the problem."

Not just that, they would have gotten arrested.

Sienna Rose couldn't have done that though.

She needed to be a staff member to tamper with the CCTV cameras and lockdown mode.

Not just that but she needed to be in the store.

Great, just great.

They were so close yet so far.

Not exactly though, as Sitara, Rayselle and Serenity had just arrived via a limo.

Now all they had to do was to get inside.

Easier said than done though.

By a long shot. The longest shot ever.

That was until Rayselle had realised that they had just come in a limo, but they couldn't have parked close to the store as the car park was almost half full.

They could have used the limo to their advantage.

And they did.
