Raina Riele was doing the wrong thing.

Although she had done that quite a lot of times to be honest. But she had really screwed up this time.

Right now, she was at an auction, and they were on the fifth item out of the twentieth one. The last item was the topaz tiara, which was what they had all needed to ace the mission.

The fifth item was this beautiful necklace:

Raina Riele's eyes were wide open as she had seen that, she had been sleeping before.

Leilani and Kasey were having a go at her through the phone for bidding for the wrong thing.

Leilani: Raina. What are you doing? You're supposed to be getting the topaz tiara! Not some stupid necklace!

Raina Riele: Do you really think I can wait until this auction is about to end just for me to bid for some silly tiara?

Kasey had said that she did have a point, with Leilani snapping whose side are you on? at him because just a few minutes ago he was throwing shade at Raina for doing the wrong thing too.

Raina Riele: Look, you two. I cannot wait two or three hours just to bid. That's too long. Oh and please stop complaining. You're not the ones bidding, are you?

*continued* Plus you can bid three times. You can only buy an item once. As soon as you've bought something, you can leave.

Kasey: Yeah, Leilani and I both know that but what's the point of you bidding for something you can't even buy?

Because she was bored and she had nothing to do, that was why she was bidding.

Plus hello?

It was a very beautiful necklace.

Raina Riele: Y'all try being in my shoes for once and you see how hard it is waiting until the end. And you better not kick me out of the group either because I know very well that you two would do the same thing.

Leilani: We weren't planning to do so and fine. We're sorry.

Kasey had said that he was sorry as well, with Raina eventually ending the conversation with them.

She would have started bidding straight away although Maverick was talking about the necklace as well as how valuable it was.

Which Raina Riele wasn't paying attention to because she was too busy talking to Kasey and Leilani on the phone.

Raina had bid at 1K.

Kasey facepalmed himself.

"She doesn't know what she's doing."

"Just leave her. As long as she doesn't buy the item, she's fine."

Kasey and Leilani would have replaced Raina Riele but they weren't allowed to.

As in, assuming Raina Riele had decided to buy something that wasn't the topaz tiara, Kasey and Leilani couldn't have started bidding for the tiara as soon as Raina had bought something.

There was this form where people bidding had to write their names and sign and signatures couldn't have been added.

They could have been removed by all means necessary but not added.

Raina had bid at 1K, with some Italian man known as Giovanni standing up to bid at 2K instead. The starting price was 1K euros, which was the only thing that Raina had actually listened to.

There was silence for a while as Giovanni had said 2K, with Raina thinking of what to say.

"Why are we allowing her to bid for this, Kasey?"

"Like she said, she wanted to kill her boredom. As long as she doesn't actually buy the necklace then we're safe."

She didn't.

After 2K, some woman known as Shaunté had bid it for 3K.

A lot of people that weren't bidding because they were waiting for something else had started oohing and aahing.

Kasey had realised something, calling Raina Riele as soon as he could before things had gotten worse than what it was like now.

She didn't pick up at first but she did now.

Raina Riele: Kasey, what's going on?

Kasey: You can't bid for that necklace.

She didn't say anything for a while - even Leilani had looked confused and Kasey was barely even talking to him.

Raina Riele: But and Leilani just said I can. Just as long as I don't buy it.

Kasey: No, look. You don't understand. I gave you 500K euros right?

They had a million but Kasey's father had given them 500K euros in two cheques so that they weren't tempted to spend everything.

Raina Riele: Yeah. What about it?

Leilani: Kasey, you okay?

He ignored what Leilani had said but not deliberately.

Kasey: If you bid for it, you'll have less than 500K euros left. And the tiara costs 500K euros.

Raina Riele: Yes but because a lot of people would be bidding for it, wouldn't it cost less?

Kasey: Highly doubt it. Competition would be higher. People would be throwing high prices at Maverick because they desperately want the tiara. It's the most valuable item in this auction. That's why it's last.

Kasey knew the competition would be higher because he had heard the conversations from people in the same room as him and they had all seemed to be interested in the tiara.

The person or people they were waiting for that was bidding had seemed to be really interested in the tiara anyway.

Raina understood that.

Leilani: But didn't your did give you one million euros in two five hundred euro cheques?

He had to whisper that because he didn't want people getting suspicious as to why two 17 year old teenagers and one 18 year old one (Raina) had a lot of money on them right now.

Kasey: If I spend everything, then I'll get in trouble. He wants at least 475K euros or more back.

Sighing, Raina had sat down, with Maverick noticing this.

"You no longer interested in the necklace anymore Raina?"

He knew her name due to her name tag, plus she had been sleeping a lot, with people trying to wake her up.

She shook her head.

It had turned out that the necklace wasn't even all that anyway because the sapphires on it were fake. Looks really were deceiving.

After the 10th item was a 20 minute break then it was time for the 11th-20th ones.
