Can't Move On

Katherine POV

As Ash walked away with Serena I realized Ash never answered my question. I still don't know if he loves me or not. I decided to go see Gary, sense I haven't spent much time with him lately. I walked over to his house and found him reading some book in his back yard.

"Hey Gary!" I said walking over to him. "Oh, hey Katherine, what's up?" He responded looking up from his book. "Oh I just wanted to see you." I answered smiling. Gary closed his book and got up. "Oh alright then, what do you wanna do?" He asked. "Oh well, I have been working on a new song if you want to hear it." I answered. "I'd love too!" Gary responded smiling.

(Cue You're Worth It by Cimorelli)

"Wow, that song sounds awesome." Gary said admirably. "Thanks I'm glad you like it." I responded smiling. "So when are you and the rest of your band getting together?" Gary asked. "Well, we're all taking a little break from the band, but they said they'll be here in about a week." I answered. "Well that's good, I can't wait to see you guys perform." Gary said.

We were both smiling at each other, but out of the corner of my eye I saw Ash and Serena holding hands. I can't believe it Ash and Serena are dating now. This bothered me for some reason I don't quite understand why though. My smile turned into a frown that Gary noticed. "What's wrong?" Gary asked concerned. "I'm fine, I just have to go no." I answered getting up to leave.

Gary said something but I didn't hear him. Why am I so upset about Ash going out with Serena, she seems nice, and not the jealous type, and I had such a great day with Gary, he's a great guy who I'm happy to be with. But there's just something about Ash, I can't seem to get him out of my head, why can't I just move on.

Gary POV

I saw Katherine was upset. I asked her if something was wrong, she said she was fine but I could tell she was lying. I tried to help her but she said she had to go and she just left. What happened she seemed happy, but then Ash and Serena walked by and she got upset. Did Ash do something to her, yeah that must be it. Ash hurt her in some way and I have to do something about it. Just wait till tomorrow Ash, you'll pay!

The Next Day

I got up the next day and immediately started to run to Ash's house ready to teach him a lesson. Before I reached his house I ran into Katherine. "Hey Gary, what's up?" She asked. "I'm gonna go pay Ash a visit!" I angrily yelled. "Wait, what's wrong, has Ash done something?" She asked confused. "He hurt you, right after you saw him yesterday, you got upset!" I yelled continuing towards Ash's house. "No, no Ash didn't do anything to me, I was just thinking about something that made me sad." Katherine said holding me back. "Well what had you so upset then?" I asked trying to calm down.

"I'm sorry, I just can't tell you." She answered putting her head down. "Come on Katherine, just tell me what's wrong, I want to help you." I said calmly. "I'm sorry you can't help me, this time." She said. "Come on please just tell me what's wrong." I insisted. "No Gary, I'm sorry, I can't tell you what's wrong." She responded with her head still down. I got mad after hearing this.

Katherine POV

I know Gary wanted to help, but he wouldn't understand. I can't tell him the reason I got upset is because Ash is with Serena, he'd flip out. I know not telling him got him just as mad but I just can't tell him that I may have feelings for Ash. He looked at me angrily. "Well Katherine if you won't tell me what's wrong, then I'm just gonna go!" Gary yelled clearly mad.

I just stood where I was for a minute, disappointed with myself. I then felt a hand touch my shoulder. "Hey Katherine everything alright?" It was Ash with Serena. "Oh umm, well not really, Gary and I just had a fight." I answered sad. "Well don't be sad, Gary will calm down and everything will be alright." Ash said to me smiling. I blushed seeing his smile, but I don't think he noticed. I was still upset but Ash's smile had a way of making me feel better.

"Yeah you're right Ash, thanks." I said giving a small smile. "Alright then, I'll see you later then." Ash said walking away with Serena. What is it about him, I just feel so happy when I'm around him, Serena's so lucky, I'd love just to get one date, wait what am I saying Gary is my boyfriend. Why can't I just move on.
