So, if you hadn't guessed, it was like a sort of alien creature test, where they were trying to eradicate cats.

There were a bunch of them, all around the world, so whenever they killed the victim, they would change into a different cat.

He traveled from Germany, where he was in the Black Forest, to South America, where he was in the jungles, to, lastly, Australia, where he lived close to the capital city.

This was somewhat influenced by A Dog's Purpose.
