A week after we got here we were sitting around the table in the main room of the hangout. We still didn't know if we were going to stay here or not.

“You guys have been here for a week now.” Alex said.

“Yep.” I said.

“Should we tell them?” Alex asked.

“I don't see why not.” Mark said.

“Me either.” Fred said.

“Tell us what?” Tevan asked for us.

“The name of people like us.” Tevan said making Tevan looked a little shocked. “People like us are called Potentia. It means power in Latin.”

“Kind of sounds like potential.” John commented.

“It's almost spelled the same. The only difference is the 'L' at the end.” Mark explained.

“So the name for our kind is power?” Tevan asked.

“Yeah.” Mark said. “Cool huh?”

“What about the other part?” Alex asked.

“They don't need to know that yet.” Fred said.

“Why not?” Tevan asked.

“That information is on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know it right now.” Fred explained.

“Ok.” I said before Tevan could ask why.

“It's pretty cool.” John said.

“Yeah. Most people don't know that's what we call ourselves.” Fred said

“Yeah they seem to like the name 'freak'.” Alex said in a joking tone.

“Must be because it's easier to say.” Mark said. We all laughed.

“So if nobody calls you guys Potentia then how do you guys remember that name?” I ask.

“Potentia have the potential to do something great.” Fred said.

“Kind of catchy.” Tevan said.

“Yeah, but at the same time kind of cheesy.” Alex said.

“Yeah.” I said. “Then again isn't that how people try to remember things. Making them catchy yet cheesy?”

“You got a point.” Tevan said.

“So you guys have been to school recently?” Mark asked.

“It's been over a month.” I said.

“It took you a month to get here.” Alex asked.

“No, it took five days to get here.” I said. “I was locked up for the rest of the time.”

“Oh. Sorry I forgot that.” Alex said.

“It's fine.” I said.

We talked for another hour and a half before I got up and went to that spare room. I didn't want to wake any of the boys up when I got up.
