[ORIGINAL CHAPTER]

I waited until everyone had entered the building before going to the plane, and as I approached the aircraft and started to climb the stairs, feeling my feet touch each step increased my level of anxiety. I started walking down the aisle while getting hit by bags or people until I got to my seat, where I sat down, put down my bag, put on my headphones, and started listening to Nickelback. I fell asleep and woke up with a slight shaking in my shoulder. A flight attendant was standing over me when I gently opened my eyes.

She then added, "Miss, we're here," with a smile on her face. It had been so long since I had been here; I used to spend two weeks here every summer, but I hadn't taken a vacation here in years. I quickly stood up from my seat, grabbed my bag, put it on my back, and grabbed my suitcase from the shelf before leaving. I quickly flag down a cab, and as he begins to speak to me, he rolls down the window. "Forks police station please," I said as I looked at him. "Certainly mam," he replied cheerfully as I climbed inside.

Because of how busy I was studying after moving to England, I rarely saw my family. As a result, I tried to call both my mother and father as frequently as I could because flights from England to Phoenix and Forks cost a lot of money, which I didn't have as a student. Calling someone, on the other hand, wasn't the same as meeting them in person because you can hug them. I only wanted to give my sister and father hugs after all this time.

Due to my nervousness and excitement of seeing my father, the trip to the police station seemed to take longer than it actually did as I sat in the cab. A big smile spread across my face as I stared out the window and saw the station in the distance. As we drew nearer, I saw my father and sister standing outside and talking to a boy with brown hair. I hadn't seen him before, but based on what I had heard, I believe it was Edward Cullen, Bella's boyfriend.

I leaned forward to give the driver a tip when the car finally stopped, then got out and got my stuff from the trunk. I remained there and questioned "Am I interrupting?" as the car sped off. Everyone turned to stare at me as a result, and my father's face began to glow. My father sped over and gave me a strong hug as I quickly dropped my bag and called out, "Hey Dad." Before I approached Bella and gave her a bear hug, I turned to see her grinning widely. "Caroline," Bella said delightedly before giving me a big hug in return. Before our hug came to an end, Bella grinned and whispered, "I've missed you so much." I then turned to face Edward.

Since the day my sister was born, I have always been overly protective of her, and as I stand next to Bella, I give Edward a stern look. I would never allow anyone to hurt her. Bella glared at me when I said, "You must be the boyfriend." I replied, "I'm Bella's sister Caroline." Edward extended his hand, and I gave it a quick shake. Edward answered with an uneasy smile, "I'm Edward Cullen.

I return the smile to prove that I'm not being hostile, just protective, and Edward says awkwardly, "Nice to meet you, but I'd better get going." But as he walked down the stairs, I noticed that his hands were as cold as ice, his eyes were yellow instead of the usual colours, and his voice sounded different, as if it were from another century.

Bella watched him leave before my father turned to face me and my sister before speaking with a happy tone and a smile on his face, which made me smile "we were going to dinner" Dad said as he looked at Bella "do you want to join us if your not too tired from your flight" Dad asked. "I'd love too" I said with a smile. Before we all head down the steps together my dad holding my bags before he puts them into his cop car as

As my father drove it was a quiet journey and no conversation happened between the three of us because we hadn't seen each other in a while so it didn't flow as easily as it used to. So I sat there looking through the window because I had felt like a lifetime ago since I had been in Forks when I noticed where we were going. It was a small diner we all used to go to as a family when I was younger, they did the best steaks in America and it was one of the many things I missed while living in the Uk.

As my father parked the car myself and Bella headed inside as we did I smiled because all the memories began to fill my head and it was very nostalgic, because I saw myself and Bella as children chasing each other around the diner as the owner and staff watching us and smiling because everyone knew each other in Forks.

As I followed Bella I looked around we reached a booth that was near the window and we both sat down before I saw the door open and Charlie walked in before walking over and sitting down next us. "You guys ordered yet" Charlie asked as he sat down "no, we waited for you" i said with a smile as me and Bella picked up the menus. As I looked at the menu I heard someone walked over to the table so I looked up from the menu "Bella, Charlie" the waitress said happily as she looked at them both before I put down the menu.

"Is that Caroline" she said with a smile as she looked at me. "Yeah" i said looking at her because I knew that I recognised her but I couldn't remember her name because it had been a long time since I had been in here. "do you remember me," she said smiling at me as she waited for an answer. "Cora Right," I said as I remembered her name but asking incase I got it wrong.

""yeah, my you've become so beautiful," she said, "Thank you," I said as I began to slowly look down to my menu "is it true your a doctor now," she said questionably "yeah," I said as I began to smile "how did you know," I said confused "Charlie hasn't shut up about it, his little Caroline becoming a doctor," she said I looked at Charlie embarrassed. "You guys ready to order," she said before we gave her our order I decided to get a steak after diner we all headed home I decided to get an early night as tomorrow was my first day at as a resident at the local Forkes hospital and I was definitely excited but a little nervous.
