Cold.

There are children everywhere. We're all cold, some of us have no clothes, others do.
Every night we hear chanting, and screaming. The number of kids in the room is growing smaller, and smaller.

I'm sitting in a corner with an older boy, he's a tall dark skinned kid. He's muttering his breath, something tells me not to disturb him.
When he is done, I try to ask him what he was doing, but my throat is dry. I slept through meal time, and they won't feed you till dusk, ai swallow some spit until my throat feels better.
"What were you doing?" I ask.
"Praying."
"What's that?"
"Praying is a way people talk to their God or angels."
"What's a God? And what angels?"
This is where the young boy broke down the concept of religion the best he could. Then he told me about his.
"I was praying to my Guardian angel." He said
"I was praying that everyone in here would die."
Die?
He saw the confusion on my face.
"That everyone in here would no longer exist. That the adults here would go to Hell."
I could understand why, I wanted that too.
"If I pray with you, will it happen?"
"It might."
Then I did what he did, closed my eyes, and folded my hands.
"Guardian angel. Please make the adults die here." I repeated this several times.

That night the adults came while we were asleep. The teen I was asleep by, Daniel. They took him. I got up with them and fought them, kicking hitting, and fighting them.
"LET HIM GO!" it echoed throughout the room.
"HEY ANGEL HELP!" I cracked out.
No angel came. The kids who had gotten up with me, we were thrown back against the wall. We couldn't move.
A man came in, his eyes yellow.
"That one." He said pointing at me.

I woke up in a sweat, my throat dry, something inside me burning, my head aching.
There was a woman. She was sitting in the chair beside my bed, she was really beautiful, hair smooth, and dark like the night, her skin dark, like someone I should remember.
I sat in bed for the longest time, listening to the heart monitor, feeling weak.
The door opened, the woman stirred in her sleep.
A man, tall, black hair, blue eyes, a beard, and a tired look on his face. I didn't like him, something told me he was bad.
"Who-" was all I could get out, my throat was still dry.
"My name's John," the man said "You were with two men right?"
I nodded.
"Did they say where they were going?"
I shook my head.
"Thanks." He sighed, then left, shutting the door.
The woman woke up, I leaned into the corner of my bed, to get away from her.
"You awake sweetie?" Her voice soft.
I didn't say anything. Where's Sam and Dean?
"Where's Dean?" I croaked out.
"Dean?" The woman said confused.
She then began to explain something to me.
"Those two men, they said you would be living with me from now on. You'll be able to come in a few days."

I nodded in the dimly lit room, one thing running through my mind.
They left you.

When I got to the woman's home, there were other children. Clothed, eating pizza.
It felt strange. Some were laughing, and fighting over the pizza.
"Do you want to introduce yourself? Or do you want me too?"
Fear started coiling inside me, flashes of more kids crossed over my vision, they were nude, and hungry, they were scared, some just staring off in the distance, some had a lot of brusises while others had only a little, then there was a kid in the corner praying. He stopped, looked up at me, his face swollen, his eyes gone, blood down his chest.
I clung to the woman, like she was a lifeline. Hididng behind her, shaking.
"Hey, hey." She said softly going down to my level.
"It's okay, it's okay."
She picked me up,
"Okay I'll do it, but you gotta promise me you'll calm down okay?" I tried to nod, taking in deep breaths. It took five minutes, the woman was very patient, she had set me down to clam down. Then when I was calm, she took my hand and walked with me into the kitchen, where by then a few kids were getting up from their seats putting their paper plates in the trash.

"Yo kiddos." The woman said coming into the room, they turned looking at me, some of the girls cooing at me.
"This is Mary Jessica Winchester. Your new sister."
I slowly began to feel really safe here.
"H-Hi." I said, looking at the people.

Let me explain to you something about the six older girls. There were only older girls. They found me adorable, and wanted me to dress in the weirdest things.
There were big dresses, and liked doing my hair. Some found me a little annoying, or were annoyed with me easily so I didn't talk to then much unless they wanted me to go grab them something from downstairs, like a charger, or a jolly rancher. There names were:

Amera (dark skin, has black 'dreds' talks with a French accent, says she's fat but she isn't, short, likes to make jokes, likes the dress up game, plays video games, and said I could watch when she plays. She's sixteen and a half.)

Graciela (tall, has big purple glasses, skinny, brown, and black hair, calls me "Prequeña Perro." often asks for Jolly ranchers. She's fifteen.)

Eloise (tan skin, her sisters Raven, they were both born on the same day, long dark purple hair, a little big, short, dark eyes, easily annoyed with me, and loud, she's fourteen.)

Avril (quiet, wants me to read with her. Often has things in her ears, hooked up with a small box that plays music, black short hair, ((she says it's a pixie cut)) dark eyes, freckles, thin, always sleepy, she's sixteen.)

Raven (tan skin, tall, brown eyes, long, black hair, flat chested, likes to play "dress up" where I only try on poofy dresses, she's fourteen.)

Rose (light skinned, green hair, nose piercing, likes to do my makeup, skinny, sometimes skips meals, kind, proud of her average boobs, she's seventeen)

Aurora (blue eyed, dark skinned, long curly, red hair, with pink tips, skinny, strong, easily annoyed with me, has a pretty voice, she's fifteen.)

There names were real fun to say, so I liked saying them.

The boys, there were three older ones and one younger one, he's a ten year old named Marco. (He often liked to tease me. He's small, fast, light skin, brown hair, brown eyes, coughs a lot, that causes the other to jump, and look.)

The other boys are:

Jasper (tall, white hair, red eyes, makes jokes that cause the others to cover me and Marco's ears, sixteen)

Jason (short, black hair, purple eyes, glasses, really skinny, doesn't talk, likes to tease me, dark skin, and fifteen.)

Clyde (tall, lengthy, strong, likes reading, black hair, blue eyes, long hair, wears black, is okay with me hanging out with him, and asking questions, and he's fifteen.)

Ginger Red, is the name of the woman who brought me here. Most of the kids here call her "Ma" "Ginger" or "Mom."
She's really kind, she works a lot too, she wants me to go to school really soon, they are still working on my paper work, so I stay home with Marco, he said he can't go to regular school because he's really sick, so I promised him I'd be his doctor, he got a little mad at that, and said he had enough doctors, and nurses.
"Just be a sister or something."
We watch anime, and he teaches me about angels and demons. Marco is really interested in death and the afterlife.

When he talks about angels, a small part of me is happy, and sad. When the older kids get home, they stay in their rooms, sometimes they'll let Marco and I go upstairs to the "bird's nest," with them. The bird's nest is a place in the attic with a lot of cool stuff, the boys paly video games, Avril will read with Marco and I.

This went on for weeks until Ginger came home and handed me a workbook, really mad.
She told me I was going to be home schooled with Marco.
