Two Romeos
Two lovers kiss under the falling stars, their fingers and hearts entwined. They hear a rustle in the bush somewhere far off and break apart, anxiously whirling around to ensure they are not being watched. There is no one who could possibly understand their love. Oh, if only someone could see the way they loved one another. Perhaps then, they would know that even two beings such as themselves can ache for each other in ways that boys and girls do.
WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG TO JUST ABOUT EVERY HUMAN SOUL BESIDES THEMSELVES—IT SEEMS THAT THESE TWO BOYS, NESTLED BENEATH THE NIGHT SKY WITH SUPERNOVAE EXPLODING OVER THEIR HEADS AND IN THEIR EYES, ARE THE ONLY ONES IN THE ENTIRE WRETCHED UNIVERSE TO UNDERSTAND THAT LOVE IS LOVE.
—For sometimes, what should be a Romeo and a Juliet is but two Romeos.
