For all the world to see
The things I make up in my head
As just mere fantasy

Ladies, please respect yourselves
Never seek attention
Invest in a future for yourself
And never chase affection

What's meant to be will be in time
Some truths we'll never know
Reality before your eyes
Should never be ignored

Save yourself from heartbreak
And keep your head in the books
Worry about what's on your plate
They're not as content as they look

Be yourself and be grateful
For whatever life you have
It may not be everything you want
Or it could be all bad

We often miss our blessings
Looking into others' lives
Independence is quite freeing
Everything's gonna be alright

I, too have daddy issues
But I know who I am
Don't allow yourself to be misused
Respect yourself and take a stand

Even if you have to stand alone
Always do what's right
Take no shit, and harm no one
And someday you will fly
