v. To "Strip" Someone

While All Might and Midoriya were being treated at the schools infirmary, it was a different story for Eraserhead, Lightbringer, and Thirteen, who were all in the hospital.

"Damn my head." Aizawa grumbled, sitting up with his entire body in bandages and both arms in slings, which were also wrapped in bandages. The memories of what happened came crashing into his head and he began to look around, his eyes locking onto the body in the hospital bed not too far from his.

Also wrapped entirely with bandages, tubes seeming to go into her stomach and neck, guilt began to course through Eraserhead's veins.

"No need to worry, Eraserhead." The doctor announced as he walked in. "From the reports, you were unconscious by the time it happened, but the Nomu had Lightbringer's stomach in his jaws, which is why you see all the tubing. However, it appears that she tried defending herself by only transforming her insides into a sun, so while her skin and a bit of flesh took damage, her vital organs are relatively okay. The skin on her neck was decayed and her ribs were broken, but none of her wounds are fatal whatsoever." The doctor explained, Aizawa's guilt not leaving, but he did feel relief knowing that she'd survive.

While he hated to ask, he needed to know. "What else happened to her?" The doctor let out a quiet sigh, looking towards the woman before looking back at Aizawa.

"The only other thing that happened is some minor brain damage, nothing lethal, but there is some from when the Nomu rammed its beak at her. We don't know when she'll wake up quite yet either. As for All Might, he took the least amount of damage, and Thirteen is on the floor above, not in the best of shape. Last I heard, all of the students are just fine." Knowing that the students were okay and All Might didn't take much damage was a relief, but knowing that Thirteen wasn't in great shape and everything that had happened to [L/n], he wasn't that joyful.

"U.A.'s classes were cancelled for today and they start up again tomorrow. With your injuries, I highly suggest taking a few days off, Eraserhead." With those words, the doctor left. Aizawa looked back towards the sleeping woman on the bed aside his and let out a heavy breath.

"So the Nomu had you in his jaws? Damnit, I'm surprised you're still alive. Then again, you were probably too stubborn to die." He mumbled quietly under his breath, grateful she was still alive. "I've never heard of you only changing your insides though, then again, with so many people around you probably couldn't fully change without hurting someone else." After realizing the time and the fact it was late in the evening, he stood up and carefully walked towards [L/n]'s bed, looking down at her bandaged and tube connected body.

"I know you can't hear me, but I'll have your hero costume fixed by the time you wake up." He spoke rather quietly. With that, he discharged himself and went home.

The next day, the students in Class 1-A were expecting a substitute, however, that didn't happen.

"Morning." Aizawa spoke plainly, his voice a bit dry and gruffy.

"You're back already Aizawa Sensei!?" The majority yelled in surprise as they looked at their heavily bandaged teacher, face included.

"My welfare isn't important." He paused. "Because your fight is far from over. U.A.'s Sports Festival is fast approaching." After questions and explanations were had, one student became rather vocal.

"When will Lightbringer be back, I still need to fight her!" Bakugou barked, Aizawa's already narrow eyes narrowing even more. The silence that followed was uncomfortable and even a bit scary. Though after seeing the look on Eraserhead's face, most students understood the answer.

"Lightbringer is still in the hospital. Visitors are allowed but when I left yesterday she wasn't awake yet, so for her sake, if any of you visit, don't be loud."

"Um, Aizawa Sensei, I hate to ask but, is she okay? And are you okay? After everything the Nomu and hand person did I-" Midoriya was cut off as the teacher let out a rather long sigh.

"I'm fine, yet again, my welfare isn't important, but I'm fine. Lightbringer is also just fine."

"It looked like the Nomu almost killed you both." Asui spoke, speaking her mind per usual without any filter.

"For the last time, she's okay and I'm okay. I'm here aren't I?" Aizawa spoke, slightly irritated at the bombardment of questions, but understood why.

"You are, but she isn't." Bakugou retaliated, the teacher tensing slightly, but due to the amount of bandaging it wasn't noticeable.

"Like I said before, we're both fine. If any of you feel the need to visit her, the visitation is open, just don't be loud." As those words were spoken, the bell rang and everyone made their way to their next class. Some with heavy hearts and others glad to see Aizawa up and moving despite what had happened.

The group of Midoriya, Bakugou, and Uraraka, once again, stayed behind after the bell. While Midoriya and Uraraka were thanking Aizawa for everything that he did for them, Bakugou had different intentions. When the two students left, Bakugou approached Aizawa, hands shoved in his pockets.

"How'd you two survive? I watched as even All Might struggled with that abomination and yet you two live?"

"I don't understand your curiosity, but I'll answer." Eraserhead spoke with somewhat of a sigh, something he did quite often.

"The only thing the Nomu did to me was break my arms and fracture parts of my face, it had no intentions of killing me, so I survived. However, Lightbringer, from what I heard and you may've seen in the end, was in the Nomu's jaws and eventually had the intention to kill her. She used her Quirk to turn her insides into a sun so that none of her vital organ would be damaged." Aizawa explained, voice getting a bit raspy from how dry and even sore his throat was.

"Okay." Was all Bakugou said before he took his leave.

While Aizawa found it odd that he asked something like that, he didn't pay much attention to it at the moment, rather, he focused on inhaling a water bottle to ease his sore throat.

Once the day was over, the man went home and sat on his couch, his cats coming to greet him as he did so. He checked his phone, by poking two fingers out of the bandages, to see if [L/n] had sent him any messages that she was awake, but she had not.

"And she's saved me yet again." He spoke with a sigh. Before he had the chance to just lay down and let sleep take ahold of him, the doorbell rang. Who the hell? Getting up and slowly making his way to the door and opening it, his tired eyes widened.

"Sorry I didn't text you, I'm pretty sure the Nomu ate my phone when it nommed on me." [L/n] spoke with a smile and a chuckle. Sure, she may look like hell but she's the Sun, she's Lightbringer, she can't afford to be down.

"Um, Shouta, are you alright? I mean, I know you aren't and you're heavily injured, but you're looking at me funny." Lightbringer spoke, blinking as she looked at the slightly wide eyed male before her.

"Okay, give me the silent treatment. But will you at least let me in? I wanna sit down, my legs hurt." Aizawa did nothing but move aside, letting her in, and watch as she wobbled and sat down on his couch, his cats proceeding to get in her lap.

"Why aren't you at the hospital?" The insomniac finally managed to ask as he closed the door and went to sit aside her on his couch.

"I woke up early this morning, but they wouldn't let me leave until they ran some tests. Aside the fact I look like a walking mummy, I'm just fine." [L/n] explained with a smile, the only bandages on her face being the ones wrapped around her forehead. From the neck down however, she was covered, though she wore no slings.

"How is your stomach area anyways? I heard the Nomu got a decent hold on you." Aizawa asked, [L/n] gently scratching the back of her neck with a slightly nervous smile.

"Well, it's about time I change the bandages anyways." She spoke as she looked down towards her torso and began to unwrap the bandages. Aizawa's eyes were locked on that point of her body, both curious and slightly fearful as to what it looked like. When [L/n] finally removed all the bandages that were around her lower torso, the wounds were worse than Aizawa had expected.

The scarring wrapped all the way around her lower torso, teeth shaped scars on both her lower front and back, and to top it all off was ungodly bruising from when the Nomu had continuously punched [L/n] in the gut.

"Alright, as the saying goes: I've showed you mine now show me yours." She spoke with a soft chuckle, being the Queen of lightening up the mood. After a moment she realized that her partner was physically incapable of taking off his own bandages. "Well, yours probably need to be changed anyways, I'll help."

"You don't have to [L/n]." Aizawa stated rather flatly. "You should take care of your own first."

"I'll be just fine, thanks to my Sun my insides are majorly okay, but you have two broken arms, a fractured face, so you can't even change your own bandages." She replied with a smile as she began to unwrap the bandages from his face, now standing in front of the man while he stayed sitting on his couch, her body bent ever so slightly in order to fully get them off.

Once [L/n] had fully removed the bandages from Aizawa's head and neck, she took a good look at the damage and felt a bit hurt on the inside. With heavily damaged eye sockets, fractures facial bones, and a scarred up face and neck, he truly looked beaten. "Oh, where are your bandages by the way? I haven't been here that much so I don't know it well enough."

"Bathroom, cabinet below the sink." [L/n] nodded and made her way towards the mans bathroom and grabbed his bandages and alcohol before returning to the living room.

"I'll just take them all off and bandage them all up rather than do each section individually, is that alright with you?" She questioned, eyeing his visible wounds before looking at the rest of his bandaged body.

"You're the one who focused on search and rescue in the beginning right? You're better at this than I am so just do what you want." The man spoke flatly, his eyes lowering from her head back to her torso. It was true, when she really started in the hero world, [L/n] was a search and rescue, and focused on bandaging and providing medical attention to the victims.

With nothing but a nod she proceeded to remove his capture scarf, flinching slightly as she moved her arms in a certain motion and sat it on the table. After that she began to take off his shirt to get to the bandages underneath.

"You know, I never thought I'd be stripping you down." [L/n] spoke with a soft chuckle as she pulled his shirt up slowly as to not hurt his arms.

"I never thought I'd be getting stripped." Aizawa replied rather plainly, but she could hear the slightest bit of emotion behind the insomniacs emotionless tone of voice.

"Alright, I'm going to take the slings off for a moment to get the bandages off, so just try and hold them still, okay?" She spoke softly, the man doing nothing but nodding as she swiftly, but carefully, removed the slings and took off the bandages around his chest and arms before putting them back on him and proceeding to remove the rest of the bandages from his torso.

It wasn't the first time [L/n] had seen Aizawa without any upper body clothing, but it was the first time in awhile. Most would be surprised as to just how strong his body was and the muscles he had beneath his baggy hero costume, but he had to keep that up in order to maintain his hand-to-hand combat skills, as well as wielding his capture scarf as well as he did.

While [L/n] did look and admire his muscles for a moment, because who wouldn't, she also focused on just how wounded his body was as well. "The Nomu really did a number on you." She spoke rather softly, gently caressing a part of his torso.

Rather than saying anything, Aizawa stayed quiet and just observed [L/n]'s actions. "Sorry I didn't get there any sooner Shouta."

"You have no reason to apologize, you weren't supposed to be there in the first place." Aizawa finally spoke, not liking that she apologized for something that wasn't her fault whatsoever.

"Anyways, do you want me to change the bandages on your lower half or leave it to Hizashi or someone else?" [L/n] questioned, not wanting to make him uncomfortable, even if he is probably the most unbothered person she knows.

"Go ahead." With those plainly spoken words [L/n] helped him stand up and crouched, ignoring the aching in her legs, and proceeded to well, pull down his pants. As the hero sat back down she was able to fully remove them and then began to unwrap the bandages. He had on underwear of course so he wasn't fully naked, but the only clothing on Aizawa's body at this point was his boxers, and if you count them, the slings on each of his arms.

As [L/n] stood back up, her eyes slowly grazed over Aizawa, taking into account how injured the entirety of his body was. "You know, in all of our years as partners, I don't think I've ever seen you this beaten before." [L/n] spoke somewhat somberly, which was quite the contrast to her gentle, soft smile.

"We aren't in public, [L/n], you don't have to keep a smile on your face." Aizawa spoke, looking up towards the woman in front of him. Most of her clothing was on, but it was just a pair of gym shorts and high-tops provided by the hospital. Other than that, she was covered in bandages asides the ones she removed from her lower torso, her upper torso, arms, and neck being wrapped solely in bandages, no other clothing.

"I can't help it Shouta, I'm just used to it." [L/n] spoke with a chuckle, soon realizing that she and Aizawa had locked eyes. Letting out the softest of sighs, her smile went away, but there was no frown, just a relaxed face. "Anyways, how are you feeling?"

"My welfare isn't importa-"

"Oh don't give me that bull Shouta. How are you feeling?" The insomniac was a bit taken aback by [L/n]'s choice of words, alongside her tone, so he let out a slight sigh.

"I'm alright, just sore."

"It's kind of expected. If you think about it though, we both took hits from the same creature that even All Might struggled with." [L/n] replied as she began to gently dab some alcohol on Aizawa's open wounds.

It was quiet after that as she bandaged his body up once more and then aided in him putting on some lounge clothes. She soon changed her own bandages, though as she went to put her clothes back on she felt something wrap around her wrist. Turning around she saw Aizawa with his capture scarf partially on and eyes locked on her.

"I didn't yell because my throat is sore." He then proceeded to wheeze. "Just put on something of mine." [L/n] was now a bit suspicious, it wasn't often that Aizawa even spoke this much, and never had he offered her his clothing. Then again, there was never the opportunity to do so.

Deciding to just do as he said, she made her way towards his room, which she vaguely remembered the location of, and carefully put on one of his black shirts and baggy pants. After leaving his room and going back to the living room, she opened her mouth to speak, yet never said a word.

Look's like he really was tired. Walking over towards her partner, she removed his capture scarf and placed it on his table before debating if she should just lay him sideways on the couch to sleep, or cry internally to carry him to bed. Well, after all he's done for me, I'll just deal with it. With those words, she gently leaned him over before slinking her arms under under his body.

The moment she lifted him up just a little bit her arms were already feeling a tremendous amount of pain. Crying internally, she carried the sleeping, beaten man into his bedroom and nearly dropped him on his bed. Pulling the blankets over him she smiled softly as she looked down at her longtime partner.

"Goodnight Shouta." Yawning and being in pain herself, she did something that would probably get her killed in the morning. Walking to the other side of the bed, [L/n] plopped down atop the blankets and fell asleep in a matter of seconds.
