Siddharth's POV
I finally reached Police Headquarters. I directly went to the third floor, to ACP Purvi's cabin.

I saw a young lady in khaki, reading a file. I knocked the door.

"Come in" She said without looking at me.

I went in a saluted her. She looked up and nodded.

"Inspector Siddharth reporting Ma'am!" I said firmly. She nodded and asked me to sit.

"May I come in Ma'am?" A sweet voice asked. I turned to see the owner of that voice.

A gorgeous and fit officer was standing at the door. She came in and saluted.

"Inspector Avneet reporting Ma'am!!" She said. Ma'am nodded and asked her to sit.

"So, Siddharth and Avneet, welcome to the team. Baki officers se mil lo" She said. We stood up, saluted her and left the cabin.

"Avneet pehle suna nhi tumhare bare mein" I said to Avneet.

"Yeah, abhi nayi hu" She replied.

"Ohh...great! Maza aaega saath mein kaam karke fir toh" I said. She smiled and nodded.

Such a cute smile she has. Kavin came to me running.

"Eehh Siddharth!!!!!!!" He shouted and hugged me tightly.

"Kavin..." I said breaking the hug. We looked at Ma'am's office. She gave us a 'seriously!?' look.

Kavin chuckled. Dev also greeted me. Avneet introduced herself and they welcomed her in the team.

Kavin showed me my desk, which was opposite Avneet's desk and at the right of his desk.

I sat to read a pile of files that Ma'am gave me. I slightly looked at Avneet.

"Sidd case no. 427 ki file tere paas hai kya?" Kavin asked. I looked at him.

"Haan? Kya? 4...haan...woh..." I said and started looking at the files.

He took a chair and sat next to me.

"Yaha bas me hi hu jisko abhi tak pyaar nhi hua. Matlab pehle Dev aur Ananya, fir tu aur Avneet..." He said.

I made a poker face.

"Aisa kucch nhi hai. Woh hamari team mate hai toh hamara farz banta hai ki uska khayal rakhe" I said.

"Right! Usko 20 mins taarne se khayal rakkha jaata hai, great!!" He said.

I bit my lower lip.

"20 kab hue?" I asked.

He cocked his eyebrow. "Okk whatever" I said.

It was time for lunch. 

We went to Ma'am and asked if she wanted to join us.

"Tum log jao, me yahi lunch kr lungi" She replied. We left.

"Kitni khadoos hai yaar" I said.

"Aisa mat bol, tum dono ka to taka fit hai, meri nazar isi pe hai" Kavin replied. We chuckled.

"Me Ananya ko leke aata hu, yahi wait krna" Dev said.

"Oooo" We teased him. He rolled his eyes and went to call her.

We finally left for the canteen. We sat to have lunch.

Kavin gave me a nudge and winked at me. He was definetely going to do something.

"Ananya Dev Joshi" He said. Both Ananya and Dev looked at him and their faces became red. Me and Avneet controlled our laughter.

"I meant Ananya aur Dev Joshi..." He said. Dev rolled his eyes and Ananya sighed.

"...shaam ka kya plan hai?" He asked.

"Shaam ka? Shaam ka kya plan hoga...kuch nhi hai" Dev replied.

"Mera bhi... Purvi k saath ghar pe dinner bas" Ananya said.

"Oh tum dono saathme rehti ho?"  Kavin asked surprisingly.

Ananya nodded.

"Ohh... Ananya tumhari saheli pe nazar hai meri, khabar deti rehna mujhe uski" Kavin said with a wink. We all laughed on his lame joke.
