Chapter 63:

The mansion was decorated beautifully with fairy lights and flowers. People were standing and waiters with serving them. Avni and Neil were standing together. They heard the gunshot. Avni and Neil flinched. Neil holds Avni's hand and makes her close to him. The Rajput family was also shocked. Again they heard the two, three gunshots. Avni closed her eyes and holds Neil's arm and keeps her head at his arm. Neil cups her face with one hand.

A jeep entered by breaking the door and Avneil saw that three, four jeeps entered back to back. A man of Neil's age was giving a deadly look to the Rajput family. Kumud and all were shocked to see him. Avni and Neil looked at each other confusingly then at the man. He jumped from the jeep and turns his face. He saw Avneil and smirks. The man goes to the Rajput family.

Man: this marriage will not happen.

Mr Rajput: what are you doing here?

Mr Rajput: what I am doing here?

Man laughs.

Man: you don't know?

Mr Rajat: see, Anand Singh we have no enmity with you so please let us do this wedding peacefully.

Anand: of course, we are not enemies. You are my father-in-law.

Avni and Neil frown.

Anand: and the girl who is standing with you is my fiancee.

Avni and Neil were shocked. They look at each other.

Anand: and my would-be wife. Today we will get married.

Kumud and her groom was shocked.

Mr Rajput: this will not happen.

Anand: this will happen. What not I do to marry her. I made run away all the priests, event planners.

Avni was looking at him.

Anand: no one here was ready for this wedding then you hired the people from outside.

Avni: means you were the one who was threatening me.

Anand: yes and I tried a lot to stop you but you did not listen to me. I made you sacred but still, you had no effect.

Neil: but why did you do that?

Anand: to get Kumud. She is my fiancee I love her very much.

Kumud: I was.

Anand: I love you.

Kumud: and I love Aditya.

Anand: you don't love him you love his status. We were engaged since childhood I was brought up by hearing only one thing that Kumud is your fiancee and never think about any other girl. I never looked up at any girl, never think about any other girl except you but what you people did. After my father's death when our financial condition get worse you people backed off and broke all ties with us.

Avni and Neil were shocked.

Mr Rajput: nothing is like that. I stood with you but as a father, I want my daughter's security.

Anand: so you will break the alliance. What if it had happened after the marriage then what would you do you would ask your daughter for divorce instead of standing with me.

Mr Rajput: then the situation would be different and don't forget that after your father's I was the one who supported you financially but the situation was getting worse so what would I have done. How can I throw my daughter in the fire? And I did not know that Kumud loves Aditiya and is sacrificing her love for me.

Anand: ok fine but now our condition is better I got back my everything so now give her hand to my hand.

Mr Rajput: she loves Aditiya.

Anand: I don't know anything. She was mine, she will be mine.

Anand signs his men to get her. He nods and put the gun at Mr Rajput and Aditiya's temple. Anand goes and holds Kumud's wrist. He was taking her from there. She was struggling to free her hand. Neil comes forward.

Neil: see, you are doing wrong.

Anand: don't come in my way, take aside.

Neil: you are a sensible guy, try to understand it is wrong. Your whole life will get destroyed if you go to jail.

Anand: I don't care. It was my father's last wish to see us get married and I will fulfil his wish.

Avni: by going to jail.

Anand turns and Avni comes to him.

Avni: I know whatever happened to you was very wrong if Kumud loves Aditiya then she would tell that early but I can understand her condition it would not be easy for her. But think, if you marry her forcefully then you will fulfil your father's last wish but will he get peace? Will you get peace? When Aditiya is in her heart then how will she accept you as your husband? How will you live happily with her? And think, suppose if you would have married, were you happy with her when someone else is in her heart? And think about your father, will he feel proud of you if you go to jail?

Anand thinks.

Neil: you are not a bad person, Anand, you are just hurt. And if you truly love her then her happiness should matter to you, not getting her.

Anand thinks.

Anand: if you were at my place then what would you do?

Neil smiles.

Neil: if Avni's happiness was in that then I would let her go without thinking twice.

Avni: and he really means it. You must be shocked to know but when we got to know about our alliance we were not ready for it there were some issues because of them I did not want to get married but we talked and made a decision. Things can be solved by talks, not by force.

Avni looks at Neil.

Avni: you are not a bad person, you threatened us if you wanted you would harm us but you did not do that it shows you are a good human being. Your anger is valid you had gone through a lot but this is not a way to handle the situation.

Neil: leave her hand and let her go to her love. You will surely get the best partner. God must have made a perfect match for you who will love you in return for your love.

Anand thinks. Avni and Neil looked at each other. Anand leaves the hand of Kumud. Avni smiles slightly. Neil smiles.

Anand: go and live your life.

Kumud looks at him.

Kumud: I am sorry.

Anand nods. She goes to her family. Neil tapped Anand's shoulder and hugs him. Avni smiles.

Neil: you are a nice human being.

Anand: thank you for showing me the right path. Don't know what had happened to me. And I am sorry for what I did.

Avni: it's ok we understand. We are glad that you realized your mistake.

Anand smiles. Mr Rajput comes and apologies to Anand and hugs him.

Mr: Thank you Mr and Mrs Khanna if you both were not here then don't know what would have happened. You handled the situation so sensibly. Your understanding shows in your talks. You both are a perfect couple.

They smile and Mr Rajput goes by taking Anand with him. Avni and Neil looked at each other and smiles.

Neil: well our understanding is our strength.

Neil turned to Avni.

Neil: What say Mrs Gorilla?

Avni: right Mr Gorilla.

They smile. Then they attend the wedding and showered the flowers on the bride and groom. Kumud and Aditiya came to Avneil.

Avni: congratulations.

Kumud: thank you.

Neil shakes his hand with Aditiya and congratulates him.

Aditiya: thank you.

Kumud: thank you so much if you were not here then we would never get together.

Avni: please don't say this. We did what we find right.

They smile.

Avni: Always live happily. I wish you a very happy life ahead. Once again congratulations.

They smile.

Avneil were standing and Anand comes to them.

Anand: I was going so thought to meet you and thank you again.

Neil keeps the hand on his shoulder.

Neil: no need for it. Just take care of yourself and make decisions wisely. If you ever need any help do tell me. OK.

Anand nods and Neil hugs him he pets his back. Anand said bye and goes. Avneil was looking at him.

Avni: life is so unpredictable. The man who was threatening us now went by saying thank you.

Neil smiles.

Neil: true.

They look at each other and smile.

Avni and Neil were on the way home. Avni was tired she was sitting by resting her head on the seat. Her eyes were closed. Neil smiles to see her.

Neil: tired?

Avni: very.

Neil smiles.

Suddenly the car jolts and Avni opens her eyes.

Neil: now what happened to it?

Avni cries fakely because she was really tired.

Neil: stop this drama. Let me check.

Neil smiles and shook his head. He comes out to check. Avni turns her face and saw from the window. Avni closed her eyes and heard some sounds. Avni frowns.
