Chapter 115:

The moon was shining over the Khanna mansion.

The door of the room opened and someone switched on the lights. It was Avni. She looked at the room and the memories engulfed her.

Avni heard the sounds which were echoing in the room.

Avni: I am missing our room.

Neil: It is obvious but more important is our being together. When we are together, we will make this room too our heaven.

Neil: I thought, you should wear a knee-length kurti it will be easy for you to walk.

Neil: I also bought things for the baby.

Avni: aww, it is so cute.

Avni: I love it. See, baby, papa bought it for you. See, he bought so many things for you and mamma.

Neil: I want to buy all the happiness of this world for you both.

Avni smiled.

Avni: what you are doing for us is not less. You are with us that is enough for us.

Neil: Avni, we will set a room for the baby.

Avni: no, my baby will live with me in our room.

Avni heard their laughter. Avni saw the smurf on the bed. Avni recalls that day.

Avni: aww it is really cute.

Neil: I knew, you will like it.

Avni goes there. She picked up the smurf and caressed it. Avni hugs the smurf and squeezed her eyes. Avni turns and saw the cupboard. Avni keeps the smurf on the bed and goes to the cupboard. Avni opens the cupboard and saw the cupboard is full of Baby's things. Avni touched the things and takes out a pair of clothes. She goes to the bed by looking at the clothes and sat. Avni looked at the clothes and inhaled the scent of them. Avni opened her eyes and looked at the pair of clothes. She kissed that and hugged that.

On the other side, Neil stirs in sleep. He wakes up and rubs his eyes. Neil saw the time and turns his face. Neil saw Avni is not on the bed. Neil frowns and gets up. Neil checked in the room and balcony but Avni was not there. Neil came into the room and was thinking. Neil goes to find Avni. Neil came downstairs, and Avni was coming towards the stairs she saw Neil and was shocked.

Avni hides the keys at her back and clenched them tightly so that they will not make a sound. She knew if Neil saw the keys then he will remove all the things of the baby from the cupboard.

Neil turns his face and saw Avni who was in shock. Neil frowns.

Neil: Avni?

Neil was coming to her. Avni looked down to avoid eye contact. She gulps. Neil was looking at her suspiciously. Neil stopped.

Neil: what are you doing here?

Avni: hmm.

Avni looked at him.

Neil: what are you doing here?

Avni thinks. She wipes the sweat from her forehead. Neil was observing her.

Avni: ab, wo, I, I was thirsty so I came to drink water.

Neil: here.

Neil looked at the living area. He rolled his eyes up to down.

Neil: in the living area?

Avni looked at him. She was shocked.

Avni: no, I, I heard some noise so I went to check but nothing was there.

Neil: oh. OK, come let's go and sleep.

Avni nods. Neil turns to go.

Avni: Neil.

Neil turns to her.

Neil: hmm.

Avni: you go, I am coming by bringing water.

Neil: you go to the room. I will get that.

Avni nods by looking down, and she gulps. Avni was going from there by hiding the keys. Neil was looking at her. Avni climbed the stairs and takes her hand to the front. Avni goes. Neil thinks.

Avni came into the room and looked at the keys which were in her hand.

Avni: I will not let Neil to know about the keys. I will never give him these keys.

Avni thinks. She looked at the cupboard and fastly goes to the cupboard. She hides the keys in her bag. Avni closed the cupboard and fastly goes to sit on the bed. She sighs by closing her eyes. Neil came into the room and he saw Avni sitting on the bed. Avni smiled to see him which makes his doubt strong. Neil came to her and he took the glass and poured water for her. Neil passed the glass to Avni. She drank two to three sips and kept the glass on the side table.

Neil: that's it.

Avni was wiping her upper lips with the back of her hand. She stopped and looked up at Neil. She looked down and nodded. Avni lays by covering her with the duvet and closed her eyes. Neil was looking at her suspiciously.

One week passed like that. During this one week, Avni did not go to the office and had to rest at home. She bearly talked to anyone and did her work from home. The relationship of Avneil was badly affected by Avni's miscarriage. Avni only talked to Neil when he asked her something and sometimes, she made the excuse of work or sleep. Neil was missing his Avni. Avni daily goes to the room and touched things. She spends some time there. Now that room is the only reason for her living according to her so she spent time there and then she goes back to her room.

One night, Avni was reading the book by laying on the bed in a fowler position. Neil came into the room carrying a tray of a glass of milk.

Neil: Avni, your milk.

Avni: I don't want it.

Neil: Avni, have it.

Avni was looking at him.

Neil: have it or I will call mom.

Avni was shocked. She gets irritated and she took the glass. She drank the half glass and was about to keep it.

Neil: finish it.

Avni looked at him angrily and gulped the milk in one go.

Neil: that's like a good girl.

Neil took the glass from her.

Neil: now sleep.

Avni was about to say but Neil took the book from her hand.

Neil: sleep, good night.

Avni: I am not sleepy.

Neil shouts, mom.

Avni: fine, I am sleeping.

Neil smiled. Avni lays.

Neil: that's like my good wifey.

Avni closed her eyes in anger. She yawns and sleeps. Neil was looking at her. He looked at the glass and thinks then he looked at Avni. Neil thinks.

The sun rises and the rays were falling on the Khanna mansion. Avni was sleeping in her room. She stirs in sleep and catches her head. Avni opens her eyes slightly and rubs them. She blinks her eyes three or four times to clear her vision. She saw Neil is not on the bed. She sat and catches her head.

Avni: why I am feeling my head heavy.

She thinks then she saw the time on the clock. She gets up as she had decided to go to the office again.

Avni got ready and goes to get her bag from the cupboard. She took her bag and closed the cupboard. She kept the hair strand behind her ear and was checking the things in the bag and something strikes her mind. Avni again checked the bag but the keys were missing.

Avni: where did the keys go? I kept them here.

She again checked but no use. Suddenly she recalls last night when Neil gave her milk. Avni was shocked. Avni again checked in the bag and was going to the bed. She took out the things from the bag and again checked in the bag but no use. Avni checked in the things which were kept on the bed. Avni one last time checked in the bag and other pockets but the keys were not there. Avni thinks. Avni throws the bag on the bed and fastly goes from there. She runs.

Avni entered the room which was downstairs. Avni goes to the cupboard and holds both the handle. She opens the cupboard and was shocked to see that. Avni was shockingly looking at the cupboard.
