Chapter 142:

It was the time of the evening, The Khanna mansion was decorated for the success party of Prakash Khanna.

In the Khanna mansion, Avni was standing in her room near the bed. She was shockingly looking Maddy who was standing at the door. Avni kept her hand on her belly as she is protecting her child. She hides her belly with the Dupatta just like a mother covers her child in her Scarf to make it feel comfortable.

Avni: Bu, Bua, you? Please come.

Maddy smiled to see her. She came to Avni who was feeling awkward. Their relationship is like this (awkward).

Maddy: how are you, Avni?

Avni: I, I am fine.

Maddy smiled.

Maddy: and the baby.

Maddy touched Avni's belly. Avni shivers. Maddy felt that and she smirked. Maddy looked at Avni.

Maddy: what happened?

Avni shook her head by not looking at her. Neil was standing outside the room and was listening to their conversation.

Neil went out of the room and Maddy hid behind the pillar. Neil passed from there and he stopped as he felt something. Neil turned his face but no one was there. Neil thinks. He goes and Maddy goes to their room. Neil climbed back the stairs and turns his face. He saw Maddy going.

Neil: Maddy Bua.

Maddy: Avni.

Neil heard them.

Maddy: Avni, I know, we don't share a good bond and I also know that mistake is solely mine.

Avni was looking at her. She found her behaviour strange. Maddy kept her hand on Avni's shoulder.

Maddy: Avni, can we make a new start?

Avni was surprised. Neil too.

Maddy: I know, I am sounding weird but Avni, whatever I did, I did that in my daughter's love. You are going to become a mother now you can understand my pain.

Maddy tried to emotionally blackmail Avni.

Avni was looking at her and she looked down as if she doesn't agree with her. Everyone loves their child but it doesn't mean that she will try to snatch someone else's child's happiness or someone else's child.

Maddy: I know, believing me is not easy for you. Many things have happened and it is hard for you to believe me but trust me Avni, I have realised my mistake. I have gone mad in my daughter's love please forgive me.

Avni gave no reply.

Avni got ready and she saw herself in the mirror. She was wearing a saree which Maddy gifted her.

It was a heavy saree. Avni sets her hair with her hand. She was all ready to go downstairs but she was worried about what if the saree stuck in her foot as she was wearing a flat sandal. Avni turns and goes.

Neil was coming towards the room and Avni was coming from the opposite direction. They were passing by the corridor. Neil looked up and he stopped to see Avni. Avni looked up and her eyes falls on Neil. Avni stopped. Neil got angry. He grins his teeth. Avni looked down. Neil came to her and he holds Avni's hand. Avni looked at the hands then she looked at Neil. Neil dragged Avni back to the room. Avni holds her saree. Neil took Avni to the room and he locked the door. Neil turned to Avni who was looking at Neil. Neil held her hand and took her to the cupboard. Neil opened the cupboard and took out a dress and closed the door. Neil turned. Avni turned to Neil. Neil holds it in his arm. He goes behind her.

Neil unpinned Avni's saree and was scolding her: don't know in which language you will understand?

Avni was looking down. Neil took her hair to the side.

Neil opened the buttons of the blouse: I asked you many times that wear a simple dress but no you have taken an oath to not listen to me.

Neil: what has happened to you? My Avni was not that weak that someone say something to her and she melted. She would have been understanding things. She was smart enough to understand the other person's plan. She was able to sense the motive, the planning of the person now what has happened? I am feeling like I don't know you. You are not my Avni, you are someone else who just looks like her because my Avni was not weak. She was a brave girl who was used to fighting. You are not my Avni, you just look like her.

Neil looked at Avni from behind.

Neil: You are not my Avni.

Neil closed the zip of the dress.

Neil changed Avni's dress while scolding her. Neil makes her hair on her back and came in front of Avni. Neil sets her hair with his hand and Avni was looking at him and then he holds Avni's shoulder.

Neil: Avni, I am asking you last time. I want my old Avni back. I want my tigress back. Listen my words carefully and keep them in your this small mind. This door. If you will pass this door then you will pass it as my old Avni, who was a tigress. No one had the dare to utter a single word in front of her. She was itself an army. I want that Avni back and only that Avni will go out of this room today. Got it.

Neil glared at Avni then he took steps back and Avni was looking at him then Neil turned and goes. Neil opened the door and he stormed out of the room. Avni was looking at him.

Avni: why don't you understand that I am doing it for our family.

Avni looked at the door. She thinks.

Neil met the Mehta family.

Sonia: Avni?

Neil looked at her. He smiled.

Neil: she is coming.

They smiled. Maddy was waiting for Avni to come.

Neil was talking to Arnav and Aman and was waiting for Avni.

Avni was coming downstairs and Neil was waiting for her, he saw her and smiled to see her. Maddy was shocked to see Avni. She got angry. The Khanna and the Mehta family smiled. Avni saw Neil and then she focused on the stairs.

Avni came downstairs. She looked at Neil who was smiling. Avni kept her hair behind her ear, she was blushing. Avni came and met her family.

Sonia: Avni, you choose the right dress. I wanted to ask you to wear a dress like this.

Avni looked at Neil who was looking at her. Neil was standing at some distance with Aman and Arnav but he heard her.

Avni: Neil gifted me this dress.

Sonia: oh ho. Hmmm.

Avni blushed and Neil smiled. Someone called Neil so he goes and Arnav and Aman came to meet Avni. They talked then they go to meet different people. Avni was alone. Maddy came to her.

Maddy: Avni, why did you not wear that saree?

Avni looked at her.

Avni: woh, Bua, Actually.

Neil came to Avni and side-hugged her. Avni looked at Neil.

Neil: Actually Bua, Avni wanted to wear that saree but I prohibited her. You know that wearing heavy dresses in pregnancy could be dangerous.

Maddy smiled fakely and nods.

Maddy: off course.

Avni: I am sorry, Bua.

Maddy kept her hand on Avni's arm: don't be. I am not angry.

Avni smiled. Avneil looked at each other and smiled.

Later, Avni was standing with some guests. They go and suddenly Avni realised that she forgot her phone in the room.

Avni: uff, Avni, you are becoming dumb day by day.

Avni looked around.

Avni: I have to go myself.

Avni goes. She entered her room and saw the phone.

Avni: here you are.

Avni grabbed her phone and goes.

Avni was passing by the corridor and Maddy saw her. She looked around and splashed the water on the floor by doing acting of walking then she runs from there.

Avni was coming downstairs and was unaware of Maddy's evil planning. The water was splashed on the floor and she did not see that. Neil looked at her and his eyes falls to the floor. Neil was shocked to see water. Avni stepped on it and slipped. Neil was shocked to see that.

Avni: aaahhh.

Neil shouts: Avniii.

Everyone looked at Avni and was shocked.
