Chapter 23:

A resort had shown, in the nighttime, it was looking beautiful because of the lights. A room had shown where Avni was standing in room she looks around and goes to the balcony and smiles to see the view. Neil also comes to his balcony by keeping the hands in the pockets they turn their face to each other. Neil smiles to see her. Avni also smiles at him and goes inside. Neil signs and thinks. He looks at the sky

Neil's point of view: life is so unpredictable I never thought in my life that I will marry a girl who zero per cent like me, I would decide to marry in just one month without knowing her. I mean I know her but is that enough to marry?

Neil stops and again thinks.

I know why our family decided to come here. They think I don't understand even Avni think the same but the reality is I understand everything and I know It is my family's planning they can do anything for me, for my happiness they want us to spend time with each other before the marriage so we can know each other but is it right? Is rushing right? Will we get to know each other in just one week? Is it that much easy? Can't we take it slowly? What if it all will go in the wrong way?

Neil thinks. There were so many questions in his mind but answer zero. He knows that their relationship is like a newborn baby and they have to handle it carefully and he is ready but is Avni ready?

Neil sighs and stands there for some time.

The next day, all get together for the breakfast but Avneil were not there.

Shweta: what's the plan for today?

Bebe: our plan is to go for a visit but Avni and Neil's plan is different.

Nm: means?

Bebe: means.

She tells the plan. All were conspiring, Neil comes there and frowns. Neil slowly comes to them, Aman saw him.

Aman: good morning, jiju.

All look at him and sits properly.

Neil: morning. What were you all conspiring?

Shweta: ab, na, nothing.

Neil: then why are you fumbling?

Shweta looks at him.

Prakash: we were discussing the plan for today. Anyway you come, sit.

Neil nods he looks at all suspiciously then he goes to sit.

Nm: Avni didn't come till now?

Maddy comes there and sits.

Maddy: what's the new in it she always comes late.

Neil didn't like that he wanted to answer but stop.

Bebe: Maddy, first see then say. She was on time you are late.

Maddy: really Bebe where...

Before she completes Bebe point in a direction all look there and saw Avni is talking to someone on the phone. Neil was looking at her he looks her lips, eyes and was lost to see her.

Bebe: she got a call and goes to talk after taking permission from me she is not like you who don't have any other work except taunting others.

Maddy looks down. Neil shook his head and looks at Avni who cuts the call and comes to them Neil looks away. Avni comes.

Avni: sorry, I got a call.

Prakash: it's ok, sit.

Avni smiles and saw a vacant seat with Neil and sits.

Later, Avni comes to the parking area where Neela maa called her she finds only Neil who was standing by leaning to the car. Neil saw her and stands properly. Avni comes to him.

Avni: where are all?

Neil: All went.

Avni: what? By leaving us here?

Neil: When I came here no one was here so I called dad and he said that they are left I take you there.

Avni was looking at him.

Neil: let's go.

Avni nods. They get in the car and the journey was silent. Neil looks at Avni who was looking out from the window. Neil thinks and takes out chocolate from his coats pocket and gives that to her. Avni saw that.

Neil: hmm.

Avni smiles and takes that.

Avni: is something special today?

Neil smiles.

Neil: no, thought to start a new relationship with a sweet.

Avni frowns.

Neil: ab, aa, see Avni, I know everything is happening in a hurry that we don't get the time to know each other and I truly believe that life partners should be friends first because the thing which a person hesitates to share with others even the life partner, can share it with a friend. I want to be your friend.

Avni was looking at him.

Neil: sooo, will. You... be my friend?

Neil was worried. Avni chuckles. Neil frowns.

Neil: what's so fine?

Avni: you are nervous like you are proposing to me or asking me for a date?

Neil was surprised to hear that.

Avni: of course, I will become your friend, I don't have a Gorilla friend so I will love to become your friend.

Neil makes a face.

Neil: stop it, Avni, enough of this Gorilla.

Avni: why? Do you get irritated?

Neil: anyone can be irritated. Please, don't call me that.

Avni: but it is so cute.

Neil: no, it's not.

Avni: but friends give weird names to the friends so if you want to be my friend then you have to bear it, you have no option, now the choice is yours.

Neil makes a face.

Avni: ok relax, I will try to not call you Gorilla. Happy.

Neil smiles.

Avni: ok Gorillaaa.

Neil glares at her.

Avni: I mean Neil. Do you like chocolate?

Neil: yaa, why?

Avni breaks a piece and tries to feed him as he was driving and she didn't realise what she did.

Avni: hmm, eat it for our new friendship.

Neil looks at her. Avni signs eat, Neil looks at the chocolate then at her. Avni realized and feels awkward. Neil loses control of the car but he handled that on time. Avneil sighs. Avni was silent. Neil stops the car.

Neil: you ok?

Avni nods. Neil nods there was an awkward silence. Neil starts the car.

To make the situation normal Neil asked something.

Neil: my chocolate?

Avni looks at him then she gives him chocolate without looking at him. Neil didn't take that but eats from her hand. Avni looks at him. Neil looks out from the window and smiles by chewing the chocolate. Avni also looks away. Neil saw Avni from the corner of his eyes and smiles.

Neil: by the way, Avni, now we are friends so now I can come to meet you, right?

Avni frowns.

Avni: like you didn't come before.

Neil smiles. Avni recalls something.

Avni: actually, you can come but please from the door, not from the window like that night.

Neil: O God, that night.

Neil huffs. Avni smiles.

Neil: I thought I am gone today.

Avni: almost you had gone.

Neil: because of you.

Avni smirks. Neil gives her a look. Avni shrinks her shoulder. Neil shook his head but then he smiles to think about that night. Avni also thinks and smiles.
