Chapter 20
I growled in delight as the sensation of power flooded me. I guess it wasn't Harry's power but mine all along coming from deep within me.
I lashed out, driving my flaming sword towards Naamah's chest.
She jumped back, still trying to comprehend what was happening.
"Back!" I yelled. Immediately, Naamah was blown off her feet into the wall at terminal velocity. I hefted Draco in my right hand and threw it javelin style into her shoulder.
Her howl shook the entire lecture hall. I was feeling pretty smug too. The sex demon was successful pinned by not only Draco but the weird obeying force that emanated from my body. And at that point those two forces have not been overcome.
Yet, just as that thought passed my mind something else entered the room. Something similar to the force I controlled but much darker and heavier. It swept into the room at the top of the lecture hall, making its way to the frozen students.
"It's over now, Dominion! That's every demon fail safe, Ala, the demon of thunderstorms and hail!" Naamah cackled with glee.
"Wow Ala..." My hands instinctively shot out at Ala. Flames curled off my body and charged towards Ala, carefully snaking around the students.
As soon as my fire touched the dark smoke, hissing erupted as if Ala was burning. I didn't understand how the fire wasn't burning the room down, but it didn't matter, I was too focused on Ala. The demon fog slowly began to disappear, not exactly evaporating nor dying.
My body was tense, every muscle straining to meet the demon bent on consuming the students and I wasn't paying attention. A pain flared in my shoulder. From the corner of my eye, I could see the tip of Draco piercing out of my shoulder.
"You may be able to defeat one of Ala's children but not me, not Naamah!" I could feel her press the sword deeper into my body. She had tasted victory and was very close to finishing the dish.
I slowly reached with my left arm, somehow splitting my focus between both battles. I gingerly gripped the tip of Draco. A small spurt of flames traveled off my finger onto Draco. Spreading like a wildfire, it rose on the blade through my body and onto its hilt. A satisfying hiss filled my ears.
Command the fire like you command Draco, Harry offered. Wield it.
Okay easy, I told myself.
I thought about how I felt when I picked up Draco for the first time. It was natural since he was mine even before I died.
The flames responded, rising tall in a cyclone. Without me moving, it suddenly bent and dived past me into Naamah. She screamed and cursed as the flames ate at her life force. I took that as my moment to strike, yanking Draco out of my arm, twisting and taking Naamah's head off.
Her body dropped like a stone before sinking into the ground. Returning to hell, I presumed. I looked up, noticing that Ala's child had disappeared too.
The battle was over, but the damage had been done.
My black alb was covered in crimson dots. I could see the gash and it went through and through. I wanted to do something about it, at least cover it up, but suddenly the entire room burst into activity.
The lecturer appeared next to me as if wondering why a boy had disrupted her class.
"Sir, are you okay?" She asked, placing a hand on my good shoulder. I shrugged her hand off immediately and power walked up and out of the lecture hall.
"J-Nine, wait!" Julia yelled, jumping up with her books and rushing after me. "What happened?"
She didn't seem to notice my wound, nor Draco which was still firmly clenched in my left hand.
"We need to get that wound treated," Okay, I take what I said back. "Come we need to get you to a hospital."
I gingerly touched the wound, my hand immediately covered with blood.
"It shouldn't be like that, " I mumbled to myself.
"What? What's it supposed to be like? It's a hole in your body!" Julia argued, clearly panicking.
I stretched my hand out, watching the blood run between my fingers. "It's supposed to be gold...like an angel."
