Chapter 3: Conflict
As you walked up above the ceilings of buildings, your mind went back to the moment you caught that person who you saw attack you with an elbow, but you caught him and bashed his head in repeatedly.
"That guy..." You thought as you remembered the name you heard get yelled in worry.
"GALE!!!!!" A woman's voice rang through your mind.
"That's Gale, right? One of the prodigy brothers?" Another voice echoed in your head as you stopped moving.
"If that really was him, then the one who came up to us was..." You muttered to yourself as you remembered his face clearly. "...Hiro..." You said lowly as the image was burned into your mind of him glaring at you.
Just then however, you grinned as you brought your hands up and stared at them with pride and joy over the power you showcased.
"If that's them, then I'm disappointed. Even while half-assing those moves, I still Hiro freeze up and beat the shit out of Gale. Ahaha." You laughed as you walked on. "They deserved it. Yeah, they deserved it..." You said as you stopped once again for a moment as a gentle breeze blew by and you lowered your hands.
"Haha, Hiro! Look! I'm Crab Demon!" Your child voice echoed in your head.
"Ahaha! You really look like a crab doing that! Ahaha!" Hiro's voice rang through as you continued on walking away, not muttering another word about finding them.
Meanwhile, At Beacon
Hiro, Yang, and Ruby were all inside an infirmary waiting by the bed of Gale who was currently unconscious at the moment, as a nurse stood at the door.
"The doctor said that he has a concussion and that his neck was injured along with some cracked ribs. Once he wakes, Mr.L/N will have to continue to rest here until I confirm his recovery." The nurse informed them as Hiro just looked at his brother with worry and Yang just gave the nurse a side nod and the nurse left.
As Yang was going to hold Hiro's shoulder reassuringly, he spoke up and made her stop just an inch away.
"He said his name..." Hiro spoke as his head was rested against the rail of Hiro's bed. "...He said...his name was Y/N..." Hiro gripped the rail with his hands.
"Who's Y/N?" Ruby asked in confusion.
"He's Hiro's youngest brother. You never heard of him before because he went missing a long time ago. You guys should be about the same age." Yang explained before turning back towards Hiro. "But it couldn't possibly be him. That guy looked almost like our age. And they said they found his clothes mangled in a cave. This guy's name is probably just a coincidence." Yang said as she stepped closer and held his hand. "You said you wouldn't put yourself through this again...you promised that we'd move on for Y/N's sake...he's gone, Hiro, I'm sorry..." Yang said as he hung his head low and reached put to hold Gale's hand.
"Yeah...my young brother is gone. I have to protect what family I have left." Hiro said as he reinforced the truth he had accepted, and chose to believe you were still dead.
"C'mon, Rubes..." Yang said as Ruby walked out of the room and Yang stood at the door and stared back to Hiro. "I'll tell about what we go through during the introduction. Catch up soon, yeah?" Yang asked Hiro.
"Yeah...See ya." Hiro said as he stayed with Gale and Yang had a worried look while walking out and Hiro gripped his pants as his eyes burned with rage.
"Y/N the Monster...How dare he take my brother's name and sully it with such a title..." He balled his fists tighter. "I'll make him pay...I swear on it..." Hiro cursed you without realizing it as he was enraged over his brother's severe injuries.
Meanwhile, as the day went on and the students who had witnessed the horrid event slowly got their minds taken off of the subject with an introduction to their new home and school, you wandered around above the rooftops looking for something to do. However, the streets were empty of anything exciting and you brought your hands up behind your head as you sighed.
"Damn it...I thought this place would be packed with strong huntsmen, but there's not a single stench of anyone who's even been trained. Has this place gotten softer since I was gone? The only action I've gotten was those thugs and three buffoons trying to play huntsmen." You mumbled in wonder at how peaceful and safe the place was.
As you skipped over to another building however, you heard some clapping and cheers as you glanced over down from the building and saw you were passing by small open area for the public that had smooth concrete paths and grass for people to relax on and have picnic and what not as a few trees provided some shaded spots. As you stopped in your tracks and looked towards the sound of clapping, you saw a large group of young kids, possibly grade school kids, gathered on the grass with a bunch of parents and other adults around as there was a little stage set up with a city back drop as the background.
"What? A play?" You raised your brow before growing a surprised look on your face.
Suddenly, stepping out from behind the backdrop and sneakily making their way onto the small wood stage, you saw someone dressed as crab monster, walked onto stage and began to speak in an evil tone.
"Kehehe. My plans have all gone off without a hitch, soon I'll be rid of these nasty humans and finally take back what's ours, and my family shall thrive once again." The crab monster said as before you knew it, you sat on the edge of the building and watched.

"That's..." You muttered in surprise as the children suddenly began to boo and complain.
"Boo!" One child yelled.
"You stink!" Another child spat.
"We don't like you, Crab Demon!" Another said as you hung your head a little lower.
As the kids continued to belittle Crab Demon however, a man wearing tights and a cape jumped out from behind the backdrop and posed with his chest puffed out and hands at his hips.
"Not so fast, Crab Demon!" The man in tights yelled as all the kids suddenly burst in cheers.
"Look, it's Justice Man!" A boy yelled in awe and amazement.
"So cool!" Another one complimented Justice Man.
"JUSTICE MAN!!" The kids all cheered as the man in tights hopped onto the stage in a flashy pose.
"J-Justice Man! What are you doing here!?" Crab Demon yelled in shock as Justice Man pointed towards him.
"I'm here to stop you're crimes and end this violence that you ensue, forever!" Justice Man boldly stated as he looked to the kids. "It's time I showed my infamous, unstoppable move! Say it with me!" He said as the kids all stood up with excitement.
"JUSTICE MAN KICK!" All the children yelled in unison as the actor pretended to kick Crab Demon, and the one playing Crab Demon fell.
"P-Please! Have mercy! I just want to protect the oce--!" Crab Demon was cut off as Justice Man placed his foot on his chest.
"Those who commit crimes will always face justice! In the end, good always wins! It's over, Crab Demon! JUSTICE MAN PUNCH!" The actor yelled as he delivered a fake punch to the head of the Crab suit and the eyes popped out while the actor inside used a mechanism to squirt a blue liquid out of the eyes like blood as the children all cheered, while you sighed in Crab Demon's utter and unchangeable defeat.
As the play ended and the children all left to play, you noticed something that gave you a sense of nostalgia, and not the good kind. There were a group of boys surrounding a young girl who looked like she was at the center of a bully circle. You couldn't hear what they were talking about, but the girl didn't happy and it seemed like she was on the verge of breaking down. After a few more words were exchanged you saw the girl break out of the circle and make a run for it towards a woman sitting on the park bench, her mother you assumed. However, this woman didn't look like a loving, caring, aware mother. She instead was sat on the bench lighting up a cigarette without a care in the world as a guy was sat next to her chatting and she had this seductive look towards the man. As the young girl ran up to her and began to talk and cry to the woman, the mother grew an irritated as she what you assumed apologized to the man and grabbed the girl by the wrist and began to walk away. The two were arguing and the girl was crying while trying to free her wrist from the hold, and as if she had enough, the mother let go, yelled at the girl and stormed off. The little girl cried before running off from the area and heading down the street.
"...Tch, I guess parenting like that has become the norm here. Well, not that I care or anything." You said as you stood up and began to walk across the rooftop, in the opposite direction of where the girl was running.
Meanwhile, the young girl was running down the sidewalk while sobbing as she turned and ran down a shady alley and sat against one of the walls and brought her knees up to her chest and hid her face in them to cry. As she wept, the words that were spoken to her echoed through her mind as her heart ached and her feelings were torn.
"What are you talking about? Crab Demon sucks." A boy's voice echoed in her head.
"You like that monster? What a weirdo! Ahaha!" She remembered the insult she was given.
"I feel sorry for you. You don't even know who to root for. Are you special or something?" Another insult made her quiver in her place.
"I am tired of your complaining! I told you coming here for that stupid play was a waste of time. Well no more, I am leaving. You can stay here for all I care." She remembered her mother's words before running off on her own.
"Mommy...I'm sorry..." The little girl cried as tears flowed like a river down her face. "Why did I run? Mommy, come find me...I'm scared...I'm sorry for complaining..." She begged as she was too scared and emotionally tired to move from her spot.
Just then, a sound of a can being kicked across the ground was heard as the girl raised her teary-eyed face and looked towards the noise. From the shadows of the alley, three men came out with malicious and devilish smiles on their faces. The three men were all large and pudgy but their clothing was nice, almost as if they were business men. They smiled widely as they saw the young girl and how defenseless she looked.
"Oh? What are you doing here, little girl? It's dangerous to be in someplace like this alone." The one at the head of the three men said as he and his boys walked towards her.
"It's gonna be okay. We'll show you the way out. Just come with us, okay?" The one on the right said invitingly as the girl's eyes widened in fear as she saw the guy on the left lick his lips.
"S-Somebody...Help me..." She screamed in her mind as she was too scared to even let out a peep from her mouth and the three dangerous men reached out to grab her.
Just before that could happen however, a glass bottle was thrown at the head of the leader as it shattered and made him and the two others stagger backwards and the girl covered herself from the shards. The large man was caught by his allies as they glared towards the direction it came from.
"Who the hell did that!?" The man yelled in anger as they looked towards the other side of the alley.
Play Song At Top
"What are three fat sacks of shit doing with a young, crying girl in an alley? Now this is a new low even for Vale." The girl and men all looked with worried eyes as the sun was setting and all they could see was a shadowy figure at the end of the alley.
The man at the end of the alley had an intimidating aura and somewhat frightened the girl, but her heart was conflicted as she was briefly saved by this scary looking individual. Meanwhile, the three men shook off the feeling and glared towards the man.
"You made a big mistake. You won't be leaving this place." The leader said as he pulled a knife and the one on his left grabbed a pipe, while the one on the right reached his hand into his jacket and pulled a pistol with a smug look on his face.
Without warning, a shot was fired as the shadowy figure wasn't really ready and the bullet flew by and grazed his cheek as some blood spewed from his face and stained the floor. After dodging however, another shot was fired and the sound of the bullet hitting something metal rang as the shadowy figure staggered and blood was seen coming off the lower part of his leg.
"Heh, well? Can't predict my next shot, huh? Well, luckily for you I missed your vital points." The one with a gun said cockily.
"Luckily? I'm pretty sure that your aim is so bad that you get lucky with ricochet shots. You're going to lose because you couldn't finish me off with that one shot." The shadow figure said while pointing towards the gun user.
"Unfortunately for you, I've got plenty of ammo left. And I'll let you in on something, that isn't luck, that's my semblance. I can make the things I shoot ricochet and bounce off surfaces. Now, try and dodge all of this if you can!" The man said as he unleashed a large amount of ammunition towards the shadow person and bullets ricocheted everywhere while the little girl hid behind the dumpster for cover.
The three men were watching cockily, but their smug looks turned to worried ones as they saw the shadow figure moving faster than the bullets and dodging all of them in place.
"He's dodging all the bullets with minimal movement...This guy's insane!" The gun user thought in shock before looking at the chamber of his pistol and seeing one bullet left. "But...This is my final shot. I'm going to end this!" He fired the last bullet straight at the person.
Just then however, the men were all shocked when they saw that bullet suddenly get deflected by the shadow person's mere hand. In an instant, instead of dodging, the mysterious person began to deflect and slap away the bullets ricocheting around him, before before raising his left leg back and kicked the final bullet in the wall as the rest fell to the ground.
"How'd you like that? Aren't monsters amazing?" The person asked with a cocky tone as they brought their fist to their open hand and cracked their knuckles. "You're finished. Die." The mystery man said sadistically.
Without warning however, the one who had a pipe lunged forward while stroking his hand up the pipe and making the metal suddenly skinnier until the end was pointed like a rapier and quickly mended a hand guard as well so his hand wouldn't slide up the blade. Multiple slashes were let loose as the mystery man jumped back and pieces of cloth fell as they scoffed in irritation.
"Kyahaha! As expected of an ex-huntsman. Your skills are most pleasing to watch." The leader said as the mystery man glared towards the blade wielder.
"An ex-huntsman, huh?" The mystery person said.
"And I've racked up quite the body count, not just with grimm either. I'll award your efforts for earlier by slicing you up nice and quick." The blade wielder said smugly.
"Doesn't swinging that thing in a cramped place like this put you at a disadvantage?" The shadow figure asked.
"Ohh, I'm not so sure about...that!" The man yelled as he lunged at the shadow figure quickly despite his size and began to slash everything ahead as the walls were slashed and scraped.
With the onslaught being too much at close range, the mysterious person jumped back to the trashcan the girl was at, but as he was in the air, the blade wielder appeared under him and pointed his weapon straight up.
"Got ya." He grinned as the sound of flesh being pierced made the girl turn away.
When there was no sound of a body hitting the floor however, the young girl slowly turned and had a shocked look along with the blade user as a pearly white grin appeared on the shadow figure's face and blood dripped down on the blade user. It was revealed that the mystery person let the blade plunge through their hand and grabbed the guard of the blade as the terror was clearly plastered on the blade user's face.
"I've...got you!" The shadow figure yelled while punching him across the face as the man flew and rolled back in front of his allies unconscious, as the other two were completely despaired and stood there in defeat and fear.
"Usually I don't stop to this type of shit, but you guys are the exception." The shadowy figure spoke as the sun slowly disappeared and darkness was filling the alley. "Now, feel complete despair." The shadow man said as he disappeared into darkness, and suddenly the man using a gun was knocked out and fell back.
The leader squealed in terror as he tried to make a break for it, but felt something grab his head before not feeling anything at all as his face was found smashed against a wall. In a few moments, a light in the alley turned on and the little girl poked her head up as she saw a the man in full vision of what he looked like from behind.
"He saved me...is he a hero...? No..." She thought in fear as if in slow motion when the man turned around, it revealed to be you with your intimidating aura and monster look as fear ran through her body. "...It's a monster...a real one...!" She thought in fear while looking at your sadistic and scary eyes.
As you went to say something however, the girl suddenly screamed and ran out the alley as you raised your hand in an attempt to stop her, but instead let her be as you stood there among the bodies that you didn't know were still alive or not. A few a few minutes, the girl was found by police officers and returned to a regretful mother who cried as she had her child returned to her. You watched from atop of a rooftop with solemn eyes before turning away and disappearing into the night, waiting to return to your hunt.
