Chapter Sixteen
I stood there in shock as the tall German stood on top of all of the broken glass.
"Germany?!?" I questioned.
I must be dreaming.
Germany let out a relieved sigh. "You are okay, (Y/N)."
"You- you were worried?" I asked, feeling rather touched.
Focus (Y/N). You are in serious danger right now. You can't sit here and gush over him. Don't get a head on yourself.
Just as I was regaining focus, I realized that I, in fact, did have a much more pressing issue as Turkey was approaching Germany. Turkey still had his sword out, and he looked ready to strike Germany. Luckily, the trained solder's face reflexes came just in time, as Germany pulled out his own sword to counter the attack.
"You come to save your girlfriend?" Turkey suggested, their swords colliding.
Germany grunted in response, going for a lethal blow, which Turkey was able to counter.
"You do know who she originally belonged to, right? I am only taking what is mine to being with," Turkey stated.
Germany was getting more and more aggravated with his comments; his attacks were coming with more force each time Turkey spoke.
"However, if I would've known your affection to my land, I would've shared." Turkey smirked.
"JUST SHUT THE HELL UP!" Germany yelled, coming through with a full swing, which struck the side of Turkey.
Turkey was obviously taken off guard, but he recovered quickly, attempting to take another blow at Germany. Germany had no issue evading it and taking another swing to Turkey. This time Germany stuck Turkey's leg, and Turkey stumbled slightly but was able to stay on his feet.
"You're going to pay for that!" Turkey shouted, coming at Germany with full force.
At the last minute, Germany was able to abruptly move, missing Turkey's attack. Turkey was taken off guard with Germany's move and lost his balance. Germany took this opportunity to kick Turkey square in the back, knocking him to the ground.
Germany then saw his opening to rush to me.
"What is he gets up?" I questioned, still in a panic about what was going on.
Germany glances back to Turkey who was struggling to get to his feet.
"He's lost a lot of blood, and that wound on his leg will make it nearly impossible to actually put up a fight- but we need to get out of here," Germany firmly stated.
"But—"
"We have no time," Germany sharply cut me off.
Germany got my ties cut, and he grabbed me. I didn't even have time to think, and I instinctively wrapped my arms around his waist. He tied the same rope around us that he used to break in, and he led us to the window. I wasn't much help, not knowing what to do, but he guided us down the side of the building with ease.
Once we reached the bottom, we ran quickly off the grounds of Turkey's manor. We ran until we reached the helicopter that was hidden in the woods. I watched Germany speak his native tongue into the earpiece he was wearing as we got closer.
He led us to the helicopter. He was the first to get in, and he helped guide me into the small door.
"Thank you!" I yelled over the noise.
"What?!?" he responded, pointing to his ears.
He was right. It was pointless to try to say anything. It was far to loud. My brain could hardly think. He instinctively gave me a headset for my ears, and we took our seats, while the rest of his team showed up. There were more of them than I expected, and I scooted closer to Germany to help make room. I didn't want to jinx myself, but I could've sworn I saw his cheeks turn a light pink. Even if I was imagining things, I knew that my face had to be a bright red after everything. I didn't mind, though; my heart felt light.
Once all the men were in, the pilot took not time to take to the air.
