For this unpopular opinion I wasn't sure if this was unpopular because I know some people hate it and don't celebrate but the majority do so I'm going to count this as unpopular.

If you didn't know this today (19th March) is my birthday and for some people this is a happy and special day because the whole day is dedicated to you. This will mean you will have attention from your family and friends who might be bombarding you with gifts and money.

To a lot of people that sounds awesome because who doesn't like free stuff. And this isn't like Christmas and other gift giving holidays because you are the only one with special treatment and that sounds great for most people. However, some people like me hate attention and talking to people and stuff.

I wasn't sure if I should make this apart  of my rant and like book thing I did *cough* self promoting *cough* but I feel like this is more of a ramble on why  me and probably other anti social people don't like birthdays.

This paragraph might be a little angsty but this is how I generally feel so yeah. Ever since I hit my teens I found the passage of time scary, so every time I'm reminded that I'm getting older instead of think I'm almost getting ready for the real world I'm think about all the things I haven't done yet and how I'm wasting my time.  I literally think that everything I have ever done will not be remembered and how I'm going to not have a legacy. Whyyy?? I shouldn't be thinking about that yet. I'm no Alexander Hamilton I should not be caring about that. I'm effing 15.

I also don't like attention and compliments so when people start giving me gifts and compliments I am an awkward mess.

Me and my dad made a joke about how that I should be really proud of myself because he didn't think I was going to last this long so that's nice.

This might sound cringey but a quick reminder to wash your hands and to not touch your face. In the UK we are finally allowed to stay at home instead of school but that is a conversation for another day.
