I exited my house as I slept there after my battle with Cheren. I locked the door and made my way back to Floccesy Town. As I was nearing the exit of the town, Bianca rushed over and upgraded my Pokedex to have the Habitat List. I continued my trek through Route 20.

Cheren and Hugh came by because Cheren had some information to share with us. He said that dark patches of grass tend to have two Pokemon hiding in them. He also gave us Pecha Berries for the upcoming gym. These berries are used for curing poison so I was a little worried for my team. I battled a few trainers and made it to Virbank City.

The Pokemon Center was the first building in sight so I walked over there to stock up on Potions. In front of the center were two people. A girl with white hair around my age and some older man who was dressed like the captain of a boat.

?:"Roxie, don't try to stop me! I'm off to Pokestar Studios to live up to my true potential! My dream is to be a ship captain and a movie star!"

Roxie:"Get real! You're a captain already, aren't you? If that ship doesn't move, you're going to cause lots of trouble!"

Captain:"Oh, dear daughter. You split time between your responsibilities as a Gym Leader and with your band, right? I can do that, too!"

He proceeded to run off to Arceus knows where leaving the Roxie girl there alone.

Roxie:"AAAAAAH! You dim-witted...dense...dumb...daft... dippy...dorky...doltish DOOFUS!"

That's some serious alliteration right there.

A/n: That's what she actually says in the game.

Roxie:"Doing double duty isn't the problem! You're causing problems for people! Keeping people from getting where they're going because of sheer selfishness is unforgivable! I've HAD it! I'm going to the gym!"

She quickly stormed off in the direction of the gym.

"Yeesh. I better train to give that chick time to cool off. Wouldn't want to face her while she's in a mood."

I went south to a place called Virbank Complex where I trained up my Pokemon. I managed to get Ronin to evolve at Lv. 17.

Ronin:"Dewott!"

"Whoa! Ronin, you look so cool! And you learned a new move called Razor Shell."

He smiled proudly and waved his shells around. I trained him up to Lv. 20 and as I was doing that I encountered a new Pokemon that would help out against fighting Hugh's Snivy.

He lowered Ronin's attack with intimidate. Ronin's tackle didn't do as much because of this which was good. I threw a Pokeball at Growlithe and caught him first try. I decided to call him Rubble.

After a while, I got everyone to Lv. 20 as I proceeded to head back to Virbank City. I found the gym and aw that is was a small building between a house and a warehouse. I read the sign outside on it.

"Virbank City Pokemon Gym. Leader: Roxie. Poison days, poison on the stage!"

I walked in the building to see that it was a set of stairs that led to some sort of underground club. Clyde gave me a Fresh Water and let me know that the band was practicing but I could challenge them. I nodded walked through the doors with their music blaring.

A/n: Okay so for Roxie's gym, she has different themes in the English and Japanese versions of the game. Above is the English. And below is a neat little video with the Japanese version.

I figured she wouldn't challenge me if she was jamming. I battled her drummer and her bassist before I battled her. She was the only one playing right now so I tapped her shoulder.

She swiftly turned around yelled in my face.

Roxie:"Get ready! I'm gonna knock some sense outta ya!"

I sent out Ronin and she sent out a Lv. 17 Koffing.

"Razor Shell!"

He nodded and ran then jumped up at Koffing. He grabbed one of the shells on his hip and a solid stream of water shrouded it before he cut Koffing with it. He managed to lower its defense and I smiled.

The Koffing ate an Oran Berry to recover some health.

Roxie:"Use Venoshock!"

Koffing shot balls of poison at Ronin who managed to tank the hit.

Roxie:"I can feel your desire to win pouring out of you!"

"Uhh thanks? Ronin, Razor Shell!"

He ran up and attacked one more time and made Koffing faint. She sent out her next Pokemon which was a Lv. 17 Grimer.

"Razor Shell!"

He sliced Grimer and made it stumble around the stage.

Roxie:"Disable!"

Grimer wagged his finger and Ronin's body glowed gray.

"Damn, smart move Roxie."

Roxie giggled.

Roxie:"Thanks! That's how I roll!"

"But it just wasn't enough. Water Gun!"

Roxie:"What?!"

Ronin smirked at them and puffed up his cheeks and jumped into the air. He shot a burst of water at the Grimer and finished it off.

"Wooo! Yeah baby!"

She smiled and sent out her last Pokemon.

Roxie:"Time to turn this show around for a victory! Go! Whirlipede!" Man, this guy knows how to party!

"Return Ronin!"

I sent back in his ball and thought for a minute.

I should send out Rubble but I'm afraid of him getting poisoned. I'll send Stormy out to paralyze her Whirlipede first! "Show this Pokemon how brightly you shine! Stormy!"

I sent her out and she cried out in excitement.

"Thunder Wave!"

She released a wave of electricity that landed on Whirlipede. It shook and sparked.

Roxie:"Venoshock!"

It attacked with chunks of poison for a bit of damage on Stormy.

Roxie:"Protect!"

Whirlipede set up a barrier around itself.

"Charge!"

Stormy's tail glowed as her special defense increased.

"ThunderShock!"

Roxie:"Use Protect!"

It tried but it was fully paralyzed. Thanks to Charge, Stormy's ThunderShock did a hefty amount of damage. It got Whirlipede to about half its health but it ate a berry to recover.

"Use Charge again!"

She did and Roxie used Venoshock once more but this time did significantly less damage.

"ThunderShock!"

Roxie tried using Protect but failed due to paralysis. Whirlipede was now in the red. Roxie quickly used a Super Potion and healed it back to full health. I used ThunderShock again but without Charge it was weak. I made sure to use Charge as she used Venoshock.

I used ThunderShock now powered up with Charge. She used Venoshock one last time before I ended things off with a normal ThunderShock.

Roxie: *sigh* "What are you doing losing, Roxie?! Well... I guess that means you're strong! This stinks, but I gave it everything I had, and I feel revitalized and refreshed now!"

"That's a good thing to hear. Happy I could help."

She giggled and grabbed my hand and gave me the badge.

Roxie:"Here's proof that you beat me."

(Y/n) received the Toxic Badge from Roxie!

She then handed me TM09 Venoshock which doubles in damage if the target Pokemon is already poisoned.

"Thanks Roxie."

Roxie:"Before you go, follow me."

She began to walk backstage and I followed her confused. She opened and door and held it open for me. I walked in to see it was her dressing room. There was a wardrobe full of stylish clothes and a mirror plus a red couch.

Roxie:"You know, I don't think I've ever seen a trainer like you around."

"What do you mean?"

She circled around me.

Roxie:"A trainer so cool, tough and most importantly..."

She suddenly shoved me on the couch.

Roxie:"So cute~ You gave me quite the pounding out there~"

"Phrasing!"

She giggled and sat on my lap. I was confused and a little scared as she began to trace her finger on my chest.

Roxie:"You taken?"

"N-no."

Roxie:"Good."

She looked up at me and held my cheek. Her soft hands were warm and I stared into her eyes.

When I left my house yesterday, I was not expecting this but I won't complain.

I held her hand on my cheek and leaned in. She smirked and leaned forward. Our lips connected and we began to roughly kiss one another. I wrapped my hand around her waist to keep her from falling off. We eventually parted to get some air. She was blushing and breathing heavily.

Roxie:"That was wonderful. You're a good kisser."

"Really? That was my first."

She gasped and smiled.

Roxie:"That was my first."

I chuckled and leaned my forehead against hers.

"We ain't bad for some first-timers."

She giggled and pecked my lips.

Roxie:"You free tonight?"

"Totally."

Roxie:"Sweet. There's going to be an open mic night and I was hoping you could come."

"I'll be there."

Roxie:"Awesome."

She got off my lap and I stood up. She saw my Xtransceiver and registered herself in there. We walked out together and when I got off the stage, a man approached me telling me to head over to Pokestar Studios.

Roxie:"You're going to head over there?"

"I just might."

Roxie:"OH! I forgot! The old man! I have to get him back to work as captain!"

She quickly ran out the club and I chuckled.
