I did some training in Floccesy Ranch where I caught Anubis and Stormy. I got them all to Lv. 15 with Stormy evolving into Flaaffy.

I left Floccesy Town and made it to Route 19. I barely got a few steps in when I head Alder shouting my name again.

Alder:"Hambo!"

He jumped off the plateau again and walked up to me.

Alder:"Excuse me! I forgot to tell you something important!"

"Is it the secret to not breaking my legs?"

He simply laughed at my question which was slightly genuine.

Alder:"First, take these!"

(Y/n) obtained Oran Berries!

Alder:"Those are Oran Berries! If you give one to your Pokemon, its HP will be restored. Well... I just told you to challenge the Gym Leader. Aspertia's Gym Leader is a very strong Pokemon Trainer! But you have nothing to worry about!"

"Damn right I don't! I can face whatever is thrown my way."

He chuckled and rubbed his chin.

Alder:"I believe it. Now, go and challenge all the leaders and stick true to those words!"

He walked back to Floccesy Town and I smiled. I ran back to Aspertia City. I saw the gym right by the Pokemon Center and read the plates on the statues outside.

"Aspertia City Gym. Leader: Cheren. The one who seeks the right path."

I walked inside and it was like a normal school. I made my way to the back and there was a large field with two battlefields there. There was a nice man there who stopped me to give me a Fresh Water.

?:"You must be a challenger!"

The Gym Leader turned around to face me.

Cheren:"Welcome to Aspertia City's Pokemon Gym. I'm Cheren, the leader."

"Nice to meet ya. I'm (Y/n). I heard that you recently became the Gym Leader."

Cheren:"That's correct. So, since you're my first challenger, let's prepare for this."

I smirked and he looked at his trainers.

Cheren:"You two, take your places!"

The two kids nodded and went to their own battlefields.

Cheren:"If you can defeat these two, then I'll be your opponent!"

He walked to a metal platform where he could watch our matches. I faced the first kid who used two Normal type Pokemon. Anubis disposed of them quickly with a move he learned when he reached Lv. 15. This move was Force Palm. I challenged the girl next who also had two Pokemon.

Cheren: This should be interesting.

Anubis is totally gonna crush this guy.

I walked up to Cheren who tapped his foot and looked at me.

Cheren:"Just as this is your first Gym challenge, this is my first Pokemon battle as a Gym Leader! Let's both do our best and have a battle we can be proud of!"

"Alright Cheren, let's do it!"

I threw Anubis out and he tossed out a Lv. 12 Patrat. Anubis saw Patrat and bowed.

"Force Palm!"

Anubis:"Ri!"

He ran up to Patrat and slammed his palm right in the Pokemon's chest and sent him flying across the field. He was instantly knocked out.

Cheren fixed his tie and sent out his next Pokemon. It was a Lv. 14 Lillipup.

No doubt his ace but I got this in the bag! "Alright Anubis! Second verse, same as the first!"

He understood what I meant and jumped into the air, spun around and slammed his palm on Lillipup's head. He pushed him down into the ground and formed a small crater.

Cheren:"Heh, you know (Y/n), it is my job as a Gym Leader to be a wall for you to overcome but it seems as though you're the wall in this instance."

"Hehehe. Sorry."

Cheren:"Oh no, don't be. I haven't been cornered like this since my journey two years ago! Go! Pidove!"

He sent out his next Pokemon which was a Lv. 12 Pidove. I was tempted to switch out to Stormy but I decided not to.

"Alright, here we go! Force Palm!"

Anubis:"Olu!"

He ran at the Pidove and slammed his palm right in the bird's chest. Its body shook and he was launched back. He struggled to move and I smiled.

Cheren:"No way! You paralyzed Pidove! Hurry and use Gust!"

Pidove tried but it was fully paralyzed.

"Time to end this! Force Palm!"

Cheren:"Quick Attack!"

Pidove managed to fly straight towards Anubis as he ran at Pidove. Pidove rammed into Anubis and he slammed his palm on Pidove and made him faint. He returned Pidove and softly smiled.

Anubis ran to my side as Cheren approached me.

Cheren:"That battle has made me feel really glad you were my first challenger as a Gym Leader... I give you this in honor of the strength you and Riolu showed!"

(Y/n) received the Basic Badge from Cheren!

Cheren:"Here is your first Gym Badge, the Basic Badge! This is an important milestone. And take this."

(Y/n) obtained TM83 Work Up.

I looked at Riolu and smiled widely. He smiled back and I extended my fist to him. He looked at me confused then bumped his paw against mine.

"There ya go! I'm proud of you lil' buddy!"

He cried out in joy and I rubbed his head then returned him to his ball. I walked out the gym and saw Bianca hanging around.

Bianca:"Heeey!"

"Hey Bianca!"

I walked over to her as she smiled brightly at me.

Bianca:"How was it? How did your Pokemon battle with the Gym Leader go?"

"It was rather easy but fun."

Bianca:"That's good to hear! And also, take this!"

(Y/n) obtained TM27 Return.

Bianca:"The more your Pokemon love you, the stronger this move gets!"

"Thanks Bianca."

She nodded then Cheren stepped out the gym.

Cheren:"Bianca!"

We looked over at him as he held a smile on his face.

Cheren:"It's been two years, hasn't it?"

Bianca:"Oh wow! Wh-what's up?"

Cheren:"I thought it would be a good idea to register each other in the Xtransceiver!"

He handed me a fancy red watch and they registered themselves on my watch as well as Prof. Juniper. It started ringing and I answered it. The watch opened up to display an LCD screen where we were all chatting with one another. There was only one thought that came across my mind when I saw the professor.

That's the professor?! She's a goddamn MILF!

Juniper:"Hi there, (Y/n)! I'm Professor Juniper!"

"Greetings professor. To be honest, I wasn't expecting the professor to be such a young and beautiful woman."

She bursted into a giggling fit and was completely red. Cheren looked at me and I looked back at him. He gave me a grin and an approving nod. Bianca pouted for some reason but I ignored it.

Juniper:"D'oh, you little charmer~"

I smiled and soon Bianca ended the call and told me that I could call any of them at any time. Juniper would evaluate my Dex, Bianca will measure my Pokemon's friendship and Cheren will tell me about a Pokemon's ability and the type matchups for it.

"Thanks you guys."

Bianca:"No problem!"

Hugh came barreling down the street and skidded to a halt.

Hugh:"Are the the Gym Leader?"

Cheren:"I am."

Hugh:"OK! One, two, three-let's battle!"

Cheren:"You're going to need to face my trainers first."

"I guess I'll see you around Cheren."

Cheren:"Indeed."

"Let's have ourselves a real battle whenever we're ready."

Cheren:"Agreed."

We shook hands as Hugh was bouncing around ready to fight. We shared a smile before he left to challenge Hugh.

Bianca:"Heh I guess being a Gym Leader is tough. Well (Y/n), on the topic of gyms, the next one is in Virbank City which is past Floccesy Town."

"Alright then that's the next thing on the agenda!"
