Soo Min sat down and happily munched on bacon and eggs,her breakfast for today.

Mom took notice of her good mood,"In a good mood today?"

Soo Min smiled.

She wanted to tell her mom about their relationship.But she got the feeling that her mom wouldn't take this lightly,of course.

She mustered her courage and tried asking a few light questions first,before getting into the main problem.

She sighed,mentally telling herself off for her sudden decision.

"Mom,what if,"she tried asking."This is only a what if,okay ?"

Her mom narrowed her eyes in response.

She continued,"What if not all magical creatures are as bad as you think? I mean there are good and bad people and so do magical creatures..."her voice trailed off,taking notice of her mom's sudden change in expression.

"Soo Min,remember what I told you?Walk away from magical creatures,do not get involved with them,"mom said,emphasizing every words.

"But mom-"

She stopped her flow of words as her mom rose up from her chair and dumped the dishes on the kitchen sink.

"I'm going to work,"she said while taking her winter jacket from the pegs in the living room.

Mom slammed the door closed before Soo Min could even say 'Take care,Mom'.

She buried her face in both of her hands.

Ugh...what have I gotten myself into?

She rose up from her chair,suddenly lost her appetite, and dumped her half-eaten breakfast.

After she had finished washing the dishes,she grabbed her house key and shoved it inside her school bag.

Then,she walked to the living room,taking her winter jacket and wearing it on top of her uniform.

She opened the door,and was greeted by the sight of Antoine.

"Myeon,"she called out,not expecting him.

He was wearing a red sweater with the words 'I'm up to snow good' written on top of it and jeans.He also wore brown winter jacket on top of his sweater.

Soo Min realized she had never really taken notice of what he wore everyday.Everytime she saw him,her attention was focused on his face.

Soo Min raised one brow,"Aren't you going to school?"

"I'm going to skip.Got some errands to do.I'll meet you later at your house."

She pouted.

Antoine laughed,seeing her expression.

"Let's go,shall we ?"he said,offering his hand.

Soo Min put her hand in his.

"When did you leave last night?"

"Oh well...when I heard your mom's car coming nearer, of course.I get it that your mom still doesn't know of my existence?"

Soo Min absently worried her bottom lips.

Antoine smiled.He came closer and quickly leaned in to plant a kiss on her lips.

"Don't do that,"he told her.

Looking at her confused expression,he added,"Worrying your lips like that.Don't do that."

"Soo Min,I know your mom wants the best for you.I know you have tried.Don't worry,sooner or later,your mom will know that I mean no harm for you.Time will do that.Plus I think I'm doing a great job in being your bodyguard,"he winked,teasing her.

She smiled in response,holding his hand tighter.

Little did they know that they didn't have much time left....

"When you're on a confrontation,you only have a few seconds to decide.Before the attacker gained control of you,you must do everything you can.Aim for the parts of body where you can reach and damage easily: the eyes,nose,neck,knee."Antoine explained,back at Soo Min's house.

Her mother wouldn't be at home before midnight and her house was the most suitable place for the training.

Currently,they were in the living room-since it's basically the biggest room in the house-

"Let's demonstrate it,"said Antoine.

He stood in front of Soo Min.

"When someone do this to you,"he said,pulling at her arm."Poking at the attacker's eyes would be effective,regardless of magic or not.But don't poke at my eyes,"he said quickly.

She raised her arm mid-air-two fingers out-ready to poke at his eyes,"Kidding.I wouldn't."

He clicked his tongue,"Next,when the opponent is close in front of you,use the heel of your palm to strike up under his nose.Throw the whole weight of your body into the move,to force him to loosen his grip on you."

He stood closer in front of Soo Min,and pulled at her arm.

Soo Min acted fast,using the heel of her palm and striked up under his nose,using all her weight in the move.

He took a step back,loosening his grip,"Good work.You learn fast.By the way,you aren't holding back in attacking me,are you?"

"Of course not.You are a werewolf,I won't make much of a damage,will I ?"she grinned.

"Right,"he rolled his eyes.

"And the next one is neck.By attacking the opponent's neck,it could stun them for a moment.Attack with a knife hand strike."

She held all her fingers in her right hand tight and straight,with her thumb tucked and slightly bent at the knuckle.

"Like this?"she asked.

"Precisely.Now attack me,"he told her.

She used all her strength and attacked him at the side of his neck.

"Ouch,you're really not holding back,"he rubbed the side of his neck.

"Don't pretend.I know it doesn't hurt,"she winked.

"Fine,"he lowered his hand from the side of his neck.

"Last one. The knee.It's an ideal self-defense target,and vulnerable from every angle.You can kick the side of the knee of your opponent to incapacitate him."

She nodded and with a smooth single movement,kicked at the side of his knee.

"Well done,"he clapped."Those movement can be used in time of need.But the only problem is if your opponent has an enhanced,strong body which won't leave a damage when you attack him."

"I wouldn't say poking his eyes isn't effective,"she smiled.

"Ahh...yes...it's effective.That one movement is effective I tell you.I think it all comes back to using your magic."he explained.

"But now I don't understand what your element is,"he said,more to himself.

"Element?"

"Oh..you see..every magic has its element.Whether it controls wind,electricity,water,earth and much more.In your case,I believe you have more than one element."he explained."This far,you can control electricity,water,and wind.I think we need some experiments on that matter."

"As in?"she asked.

"Maybe you could try levitation?"he offered.

"Not helpful,"she commented."How could you be sure I wouldn't fall like an idiot?"she rolled her eyes.

"My theory is that you can use the air around you to lift you up.I don't know if it will succeed,but it wouldn't hurt to try,"he shrugged."And don't worry about falling down like an idiot.I will be here,waiting to catch you if that really happens."
He looked at Soo Min straight in the eyes,"You trust me,don't you?"

She held his gaze and smiled,"I trust you."

He smiled,"Okay...now try to concentrate feeling the air around you."

Soo Min closed her eyes,feeling the air around her.

Can I control air? I have only tried it on wind...One way to find out...

She reached for the power rushing in her vein.That exact moment,she could feel the pain building up as she reached for her power.

She started breathing hard,her senses got sharper.She tried to ignore the pain,focusing in controlling the air around her.

She willed it to gather around her,raising her up.She could feel herself being raised up a little.She willed it to raise her higher up.

It worked.She opened her eyes.She was now floating mid-air,now higher than Antoine.

She glanced down,smiling at Antoine.

That moment,she forgot to keep her control over the air around her.

She lost her balance,and she was falling down real quick.

"Myeon,"she shouted.

She closed her eyes,and landed on a pair of strong arms.

"I told you I will catch you,"he smiled at her.

He lowered her down,helping her to stand on both feet.

"That was close,"she said.

He took a deep breath"Now...that means you could control wind,air,water,electricity..."

"I wonder..."he trailed off.

"Yes?"

"Soo Min,concentrate on me.What do you feel?"

"What?"she asked,confused.

"Just close your eyes and focus on me,"he told her.

"Fine,"she sighed.

Soo Min closed her eyes.And once again,she reached for the flow of power in her vein.

As she took control of the power inside of her,she started feeling the pain.

She focused her power on Antoine,who was standing in front of her.

She couldn't feel anything from him.Nothing.

She was about to give up,when she felt a rush of responses.

She could feel and hear the process inside of him:how his heart beat,the flow of his blood,and basically all processes inside of him.

"W-wha?"she opened her eyes,shocked.

"What did you feel?"he asked,holding both of her shoulder.

"I-I could hear and feel all the processes inside of you,"she said,her voice trembling.

I could easily stop his heart if I want...

She shook her head,even imagining it was terrifying.

"You know what that means?"she looked up at him.

"That you could basically stop or overload my system inside of me?"

"How could you say that easily?Aren't you afraid of me?"she raised her voice,in the verge of tears.

"Look,Soo Min.I don't care.You are you and why should I be afraid of you?"he said,caressing her cheek."It proves my theory right.Soo Min,I think I know what your power is about."

A woman with a dark aura surrounding her came out from behind the thick trees surrounding Mount Hallasan.

"Hello, Hyung Seok,"she smiled meaningfully.

"Maggy,"he called."Is this your doing?"

"Of course.I wouldn't reject as long as I get paid well,"she glanced at Sandiego,smiling wickedly.

"Hyung Seok,dear friend."

"I'm not your friend,"he snarled back.

"Did you forget what happened 5 years ago?"Sandiego asked."You owe me a favor.If not for me,you wouldn't even had Maggy sealed that memory of yours which you would want to hide from your other members."

"I believe you are still eyeing for the position?"

"The last leader of UMW has just passed away.This is a great opportunity for me,"Big Boss said.

"You are still not over her,aren't you?"Sandiego smirked."I believe you plan on catching the one behind this magic and use this to rise to that position?Let me tell you,you are a fool if you believe you can get it this way."

"So what are you hinting at?"Big Boss narrowed his eyes.

"We're conducting this ritual to look for a certain someone.According to the information collected,I believe her name is Park Soo Min.She is the mate of one of your pack member."

"Why are you targeting her?"asked Big Boss.

"That you don't need to know,"he answered him coldly."This ritual has gone quite a long time,and finally we found her."

"So?"Big Boss raised his eyebrows.

"Bring her to me.Join me and I will help you raise to that position you want or risk everyone knowing what happened 5 years ago.I believe you don't want that,do you?"he smirked,knowing he had won.

"Are you threatening me?"Big Boss asked,his hands balled into fists at his side.

Sandiego smirked.

"Fine,"he let out a deep breath.

"Then it's a deal,"Sandiego said,his eyes glinting.
