Anyone?
I open my eyes slowly, taking in my surroundings. I'm in a forest, but I know this forest, it surrounds the town. I sit up. I can't remember how I got here but I'm going to be late for school.
I start walking towards my high school, I made it just in time for the bell. No one said hi to me today, not even my best friend Kayla. It's like I was invisible our something." Hello? Hello!? CAN ANYONE HEAR ME!?" I scream as I wave my hands in front of students faces. I finally gave up on that and decided to throw a book at a wall. When I looked back to where the book was before I threw it, it was still there. "What's happening to me?" I say as the end bell rings and I run or of the classroom.
I start to sprint home, but when I got there there was police cars outside my house. There were policemen and detectives talking to my parents.
"When was the last time you saw Shaylee?" A make detective asked.
"Last night." My father replied, pulling my mother close.
"Do you think she could have run away?" Another male detective asked. My parents shook their heads no.
"She was always trying to help people. She was nice. She got a scholarship from a big time writing academy. She was so excited to graduate, she would never run away. She was happy!" My mother sobbed.
"Mom, I'm dead. Someone killed me... you have to find them!" I said in almost a whisper. When she didn't here me I got louder. "Mom! Mom!! MOM!!!" I screamed as loud I could but it was in vain, no one could hear me.
I go into my room and sit on my bed. I don't know what to do. I just don't know. Am I really dead? I ask myself as I sighed and laid back on my bed. No one could see me, no one could hear me, no one could feel me.
That's it, i'm dead. I thought to myself as I close my eyes.

I wake up to the sound of my door opening, it was my father. He came and sat on the edge of my bed. He held his breath for the longest time, when he finally exhaled, he started to cry. I sigh loudly, and very dramaticlly I might add, when it hit me.
I remember sitting on the floor in front of an old man, my grandfather, he was rocking in an old rickety rocking chair. He was about to die.
"Remember Shaylee," He told me, taking a moment to cough a couple times. "There is life, death, and something very real in between. Don't forget that Shaylee.." He coughed more, then, my grandfather Nickolas, died.
I gasp and sit upright on my bed. "Maybe, just maybe, i'm not dead."

I start to sprint. I am making my way towards the library. They should have a book or something about this, even if it is just fiction. I'm not entirely sure of I will find anything but I have to try!
