Chapter 3
Hellooooooo! I don't really know how this chapter is going to go! Have fun reading it~
Also, another random question - anyone want to rant with me about sexist, racist, transphobic, homophobic, or other discriminatory encounters we've had? :)
Ok now I will write the chapter.
Biana raced to her locker with her head down, ignoring the crush of prodigies around her - even the people she knew, waving at her with smiles so cheery they should have been illegal. She irritably licked the silver strip on her locker, gagging as her tongue touched the metal. Ugh. Of course it was Elwin's choice. Literally the worst time for that, Elwin. It was like rotten Mallowmelt mixed with dried umber leaves, and absolutely DISGUSTING. Biana kicked her locker in frustration, groaning. She wished that everyone would just leave her alone for once...I guess that's why I manifested as a Vanisher, never mind genetics, she thought with a snort - the first time she'd laughed since two days ago. And as she slumped against her locker, she had an idea. An idea she'd never really explored before, which she was only using now because of Sophie Foster.
Ten minutes later, Biana was sitting in her P.E. locker stuffing her face with mallowmelt, butterblasts, and prattles. She had never been so glad to be a Vanisher - if anyone came in, all they would see was her giant stash of snacks that she had kept in there for weeks. She could just stay there all day, cry, and stress eat. Biana sighed, leaning her head against the wall. She wished her whole life was like this, no expectations, no one watching her...no girls coming in at any moment and absolutely wrecking her...
Someone knocked on the door. Oh, no. She focused, and soon her reflection disappeared from the mirror. A soft voice came from the other side of the door, the last voice she wanted to hear at the moment, but also the only voice she ever wanted to hear...
"Biana? Are you in there?"
And she absolutely died inside.
