Six
Hey everybody! How are you guys today?
So I got bored about a week ago (casually plays song in background...don't judge me...) and decided to make my own banner...^^^^^^^
But yesterday, I received a PM from @justicebooks1 , who made me a really beautiful banner, so I decided to dedicate this chapter to them.
If anyone wants to make me a banner or cover they can, and it would be greatly appreciated.
Anyways, please remember to vote, comment, and share, thank you!
Remember to be good to each other <3

Chapter Six:
The prince smirked at me, the side of his eye crinkling as his lips gave way for his breathtaking pearly whites. "I was wondering when you'd put two and two together." He sent a nonchalant wink my way before slowly lowering my feet to the ground.
At the moment, now that I had time to look at the Prince's outfit, I began noticing what he was wearing. His upper body was covered in a black hoodie, and his white hair poked out of it, just like it did the night that man was about to...do impolite things to me without my consent. The Prince's pants were black Slacks which were a contrast to his hoodie. He also wore black shiny dress shoes, which looked perfect on his large feet.
Jesus why is this boy so perfect?
I scoffed at him, glaring at the way he stared down on me, like I was the rabbit and he was the fox.
" Now Darling, you and I both know you cannot escape me, no matter what luck Fate may give you. So I suggest you come with me willingly, or I have my guards....escort you." His teeth were fully showing his triumphant smile that graced his face.
Looking down, I held out my arm in defeat, which he gladly hooked around his own, and led me towards the Black Escalade, which was swarmed with royal guards, their golden pins of the Royal Code Of Arms shining on their suits. The guards spread in a single synchronized wave, revealing a sleek black door, which one guard slowly opened.
"After you," Prince Adrian whispered making those dammed butterflies to rise in my stomach. Without looking back at the prince, I climbed into the car, officially sealing my fate. Scooting to the farthest seat, I glanced over my shoulder to find The Prince climbing in behind me, his movements perfectly elegant.
The car was crisp, clean cut, and the seats were made of that type of leather that was silky smooth, so you just knew it was expensive.
After the door was closed, it was completely silent between the two of us. See-through glass was split between the passengers seats and the drivers seat, so only the Prince and I could hear each other.
" So..." The prince started, casting his eyes away from me. " So?" I questioned, the thick tension of the atmosphere getting impossibly thicker. "Your father.." He mumbled awkwardly, "He hurt you?"
I stared at the prince dumbfounded. Had he not figured that out earlier? I mean, he must've seen my father leaving angrily, because they were at the door right after. So, smashing my door to pieces and finding the girl you're taking against her will with bruises, cuts, and scratches and not assuming her father did it? This boy would make a terrible policeman.
"Prince Adrian, I thought Royals were supposed to be smart?" I tilted my head at him, and quirked one of my eyebrows. The Prince turned to me, and his eyes still held a fury that I knew I was accountable for. I also knew that if I can get him angry enough, he might hurt me, and if he hurts me, he'll realize we aren't soulmates and let me go home.
The thing with soulmates is that they can never hurt each other, not on purpose anyways. If your mate were to hit you in the face with a pillow really hard and hurt you, when in reality they were just trying to be cute, it wouldn't be deliberate. But if your so called mate raises a hand at you, succumbing to his anger, and hitting you, they are not your mate, they are merely a person who thinks-or you think that they're your mate.
The Prince opened his mouth to say something but closed it directly after, sending me a halfhearted glare. "We need to set some rules." He grumbled lowly, his head turning to glance out the window to where trees were going by in the city as we slowly left the Urban area and made our way into the rural part of Esterhaven.
"Oh?" I taunted, "And what kind of rules would those have to be, Prince Adrian?"
The Crowned Prince clenched his jaw and glared at the head of the seat in front of him before looking back at me unfazed.
"Firstly, Don't call me Prince Adrian. Call me Adrian, you are my mate so you are my equal." He said airily, his voice like satin. I bit my lip glaring at him, while currently shouting in my head "YOU ARE NOT MY MATE YOU SON OF A BITCH, A BITCH WHO ALSO HAPPENS TO BE MY QUEEN SO I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T BE THINKING THIS." Which is usually how my train of thought runs anyways.
"Alright, Adrian." I tried it out, and I watched him shiver in reply. Why would he shiver? I was merely saying his name.
He cleared his throat, "Secondly, once we arrive you are not allowed to leave your bedroom until further notice."
My eyes widened. "house arrest? Seriously Princey? You're going to keep me shut up in my bedroom?" I was glaring holes into his forehead. How could he possibly think that I would willingly stay in a stupid bedroom for more than needed time?
"Our bedroom." He corrected. I opened my mouth to object, but he sent me one of those looks that said 'don't argue or there will be consequences' so I closed my mouth. "Until I trust you, you shall not leave. There will be further rules, but we have not yet reached the castle, so you may not understand them entirely. I suggest you go to sleep, because the drive will most likely take all night and day."
I sighed, and rested my head against the window, curling up with my knees to my chest. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath and slowly let myself fall into the beautiful black oblivion I call sleep.
---
"Miss? Miss!"
I groaned as I rolled over, soft blankets enveloping my frame. "Five more minutes Angelica," I mumbled, getting tangled within the sheets of my bed more.
"Miss you need to get up! The Prince will be here in ten minutes!"
That was enough for me to sit straight up in bed, wide awake. I was face to face with a woman who had tan skin - a usual trait for people who lived near the Aldmist world capitol, Drendann.
"Um..." I glanced around the room I was in. Not only was it NOT my bedroom, but it was also very large and extravagant.
"Get up! Get up!" the crazy woman chanted, rushing around the room to tidy objects that didn't need tidying. I stared blankly at her, confused. She wore a traditional maids outfit - a white apron and a blue dress with soft floral designs decorating the edges and her dark hair was in a tight up-do where periwinkle flowers were tucked neatly in a row.
"Where the fuck am I?" I glanced around the room once more and stood up, only to find myself wrapped in a white silky robe. "And what the fuck am I wearing?" I stared up at the maid who stood straight and was staring at the wall behind me. Why the hell did the maid say the prince was coming?
"Language."
I tensed. Speak of the devil and he will come. Turning around I find Prince Adrian standing in his usual prince uniform, an outfit I had become familiar with from the news.
(Ignore Actor, it was the closest uniform I could find to what I envisioned)
"Prince Adrian, I am so sorry! The girl wouldn't wake up! She just wouldn't!" The maid seemed ready to fall to the floor and burst out in tears as she now stood in front of me, staring up at the prince, who didn't even glance her way. Instead, he stood staring at me, his beautiful green eyes shining under the soft glow that came from a window in the room. They held a sort of emotion that I couldn't describe, it was only something that could be felt, something like admiration.
I furrowed my eyebrows him, before glancing back at the pleading maid in front of us, her hands begging for mercy. What does this chick thinks gonna happen to her? I highly doubt Prince Adrian would point towards the executioners door and scream "Off with her head!" So why does she seem so scared?
Within the woman's fussing, she looked down at the floor and I could clearly see the Soul-Mate tattoo that was embedded into the skin on her neck.
"Nikita, calm yourself. Why don't you go take a thirty minute break alright? And when it's over you can go help out in the kitchen." Prince Adrian suggested, his eyes finally removing themselves from myself to look down at the woman I now knew as Nikita, in front of him.
Nikita looked between The Prince and I, before nodding solemnly, mumbling a "thank you" and scurrying out the doorway.
I stood alone - clad only in a thin silk robe - with the Prince of the World basically, who was still giving me that deep, thoughtful stare.
"Hey, Mr. Starey McStarey pants, my eyes are up here. I know my boobies are very obvious in this....thing, but I'd prefer not to be ogled at." I sent mischievous smile at the prince who I had noticed wasn't staring at my face anymore, but was rather...checking the ladies out, which were basically spilling out of the revealing robe.
The Prince's face turned a dark maroon color and I almost burst out laughing - I got the Prince of Aldmist to blush....One point for Jade, Zero points for Princey.
After clearing his throat, the prince spoke, "I am escorting you into Drendann today." His voice was rough, and as he stepped closer to me, I could smell the coffee on his breath.
"Drendann? You mean the Capitol....you mean I'm in fudging Drendann?" I asked surprised.
Drendann, the capitol of Aldmist, is a days drive from Esterhaven, and also happens to house the Castle, where most of the entire Royal live part-time. I've only ever been once, and it was for my mothers birthday when I was eight. We showed up at night and my little brother and I danced around a stage for three hours while my parents ate a fancy dinner, then we all passed out in a Bed and Breakfast, and left the following morning. From what I remember, it was the most beautiful city I had ever seen in my life, and it probably would always be.
The Prince's eyes sparked alight with amusement as he watched me, "Indeed. Now, why were you giving Nikita trouble?" He raised a perfectly groomed eyebrow, making his forehead wrinkle on one side.
"Um...when a random chick starts shouting at me to get up...I tend not to listen." I rolled my eyes at him, "Seriously, I thought Royals were supposed to be smart."
The Prince sent a playful glare my way before stepping closer to me, so we were about three feet apart, a smile spreading across his face. "Oh darling we are..." He stepped closer without my noticing and whispered, "but we like to play games."
My eyes widened and I shivered, his hot coffee breath fanning across my exposed neck. Composing myself, I placed my hands on his shoulders, "Wooaahkay buddy, let's not get so up-close-and-personal just yet. Where can I find some clothes?" I lightly shoved him away and The Prince complied, taking two steps back, looking slightly hurt by the rejection and also sort of triumphant. He stood at a straight posture, his hands behind his back, as his eyes wandered carelessly over my basically bare body.
"Dude, we went over this. My eyes are up here." I pointed at my face, and he didn't even glance up, instead he offered a simple shrug, before going back to checking me out. "I happen to like what you are currently wearing," he licked his lips, "but if you'd prefer something else, there is a wardrobe and a closet." He pointed towards a pretty looking door and I nodded at him, making note that clothes would be in there.
He stared at me for a moment to long, "so um...would you mind like...ya know...leaving so I can get dressed?" I coughed awkwardly, suggesting he leave the room.
"Oh...yeah. Alright, I'll be back up here with my guards in an hour so be ready." Prince Adrian blushed furiously before nodding and leaving the room, the door making a soft click behind him.
I sighed out in relief.
Now, time to plan my escape.
