Rose is in a deep sleep when she hears what sounds like tapping, she stirs slightly and holds the warmth in her arms tightly for comfort. The tapping gradually grows louder and more persistent and it aggravates her because she just wants to stay comfortable with what's in her arms.

Her mind starts to drift to thoughts of being in Rainn's arms, feeling his warmth and his arms around her. Memories of their comfortable and relaxing embrace at the fair, while they listened to music, fills her mind as she holds this warmth closer to her.

Now she feels him in her arms, his lean and muscular torso is what she's holding and her head is nuzzled in the crook of his shoulder. She's never felt so relaxed and comfortable and just at peace before. She runs her hands up and down his body slowly, feeling every curve and every muscle.

"Rose!" Violet shouts loudly as she swings the bedroom door open causing her to jump and fall out of the bed. "Are you ok?!" She rushes over to her best friend and helps her up.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She groans from the pain.

"I'm sorry I scared you, Rose. I just got worried when you didn't answer the door so I used the spare key you gave me." She explains apologetically.

"You were at my door?" Rose asks surprised.

"I was knocking for a minute then I started banging on the door, when you still didn't answer that's when I got worried and used my key. I saw you cuddling your pillow by the way as I rushed in before I scared you. For a split second, you looked so happy, I'm sorry I scared you."

"It's ok, I understand why you were worried considering what happened yesterday." She sighs as she sits on the bed and looks at where she was laying. She sees she had moved her pillow and was laying so that it was in her arms but her head was still on it.

"You were dreaming you were cuddling with him huh?" Violet asks a bit sadly but also curiously.

"What makes you think that?" Rose asks with embarrassment as she feels her face start to heat up.

"Because you never sleep like that. We've had sleepovers before, Rose and you usually sleep either in the fetal position or on your stomach." Violet explains with a smile forming because Rose is blushing.

"I wasn't dreaming about it, it was more my subconscious imagining the pillow was him." She admits sheepishly.

"I think your subconscious loves him." Violet smiles, but that smile quickly fades when she sees Rose is glaring at her. "Rose I really think you found someone you can love and I think he feels the same way." She says defensively.

"Vi, I can't and won't love a man that sees women as mere toys to be used for his pleasure. I've been through enough as it is and I refuse to let my guard down again. I don't even know how I allowed him so close in the first place." Rose says with confusion in her voice as she tries to figure out how he got as close as he did so quickly.

"Your heart chose him but you won't allow it because of your past." Violet says in a sad tone as she looks at her friend worriedly.

"I refuse to fall in love Vi, you know that. It only leads to pain and yesterday is a prime example. I let my guard down and I got hurt, just like I knew I would if I allowed myself to like someone."

"You have hope of finding love rose if you didn't then you wouldn't date at all."

"I go on dates only to get the guys to back off. To be able to honestly say that we tried and it didn't work out. It's just that I more so get guys that are obsessive assholes that fall in love with me but I have no interest in them." Rose groans and flops back on her bed.

"Rose I-" Violet starts But is interrupted by banging on the front door. "Expecting anyone?" She asks Rose who shakes her head no and has a look of confusion on her face.

Both girls head to the front door and cautiously answer it, they open the door to reveal Rainn and Hunter standing there looking rather nervous. "What do you guys want?" Rose asks with an attitude because she's still mad about last night.

"We came to talk." Rainn says nervously.

"I'm not interested in anything you have to say." Rose says firmly and goes to close the door but it's stopped by Hunters foot. "I'm not interested I said."

"Please hear us out." Hunter pleads.

"It won't hurt to hear what they have to say, Rose." Violet says from beside her. "How'd you guys find us anyways?"

"I picked you guys up yesterday so I knew you guys lived here and I heard your names at the graduation. I went to the manager and told them your name Rose and said it was a family emergency and they told me your apartment number." Rainn explains with a sly smile.

"She only told you because you flirted." Hunter groans then slaps his hand over his mouth.

Rainn smacks him hard on the back of the head. "Just have to ruin things don't you?!"

"Sorry! I wasn't thinking." Hunter says sadly.

"Now I really don't want to hear it." Rose groans and starts closing the door again.

"Rose please, I only did it so I could find you. Please hear me out." Rainn begs and pushes against the door with his hand to try and open it. He gives her a sad look as he makes eye contact with her. They can see the pain in each other's eyes and it hurts them.

"Fine, I'll listen but I still don't trust you." Rose groans as she moves away from the door.

Rainn and Hunter look at each other and sigh in relief before entering the apartment and closing the door behind them. They follow Rose and Violet to the couch where they sit down, Violet and Hunter sit together which left Rainn and Rose to sit together.

"Rose you should know that Ray really does like you and he doesn't normally like girls." Hunter starts causing Ray to glare at him. "I'll shut up." He groans.

"As much as I hate to admit it Hunter is right. I don't normally like girls, I never believed in love before. Love is for fools and I just saw girls as toys to play with." He explains while Rose gives him a shocked yet angry look, she doesn't know whether to slap him for using girls as toys or hug him since he saw love the same way she does. "It wasn't until our first date that I noticed I saw you differently than the other girls. I felt a connection with you and the more time we spent together the stronger the connection. That's why Hunter kept teasing me because he noticed I changed a lot."

"It's true. He's never been so nice and sweet to a girl before." Hunter smiles as Violet leans over and cuddles him.

"What you heard last night was me freaking out because I didn't know what to do, Hunter was pissing me off with his teasing and then these new feelings had me so confused."

"So you were yelling at him because you didn't know what else to do and he was making you mad?" Rose asks as she tries to understand what he's saying.

"More or less. I knew I had to tell you about my past but I wanted to do it when we were closer and you had more trust in me. Hunter teasing me about it constantly was making me mad because I was scared that what happened last night was going to happen and it did." Ray explains with a level of sadness and emotion in his voice that Rose hasn't heard before.

"So now you want me to believe that you've changed and I should trust you?" Rose asks curiously.

"I just want another chance, Rose. I never intended to hurt you and I never intend to hurt you. We haven't known each other very long but I feel connected to you Rose, we share the same points of views on things and I feel like if we got to know each other we would really connect." Ray says sincerely and grabs her hands and holds them gently.

Rose looks to Violet and Hunter who look touched by his words. Rose looks back at Ray and looks into his eyes and sees sincerity in them and a desire to prove himself. "I don't know Ray. What you said I've heard before and I don't want to end up being used. I'm scared to love and knowing your past...it can affect the future."

"I know you've heard it before and I know the past can affect the future but I won't let it. I want that chance Rose, I was happy with you and it was a level of happiness that I never experienced before. I promised I won't hurt you and I mean it. Please Rose, let me prove myself to you."

Rose sits there staring into his eyes and seriously considering his words. She can't deny that she has feelings for him and the level of sincerity in his voice tells her he means what he's saying but she's scared.

"Alright. I'll give you a chance. But if you hurt me, in the end, I can't make any promises as to what will happen." She warns him in a firm and threatening tone.

Ray and Hunter look at her then Violet in shock. "You don't want to know and I only have a vague idea." Violet says defensively and holds her hands up.

"Remember I've been through a lot of bad things with guys Ray, so for me to give you a chance is a big deal." She says softly and smiles a bit. "I do feel the same way but I'm scared."

"I'll banish all of those fears in time Rose. Thank you for giving me a chance." He says in a soft tone and smiles.

"It's going to take a lot to banish those fears, Ray." She says sadly and looks down, he gently grabs her chin between his fingers and has her look at him.

"I know and I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to banish them for good." He reassures her while looking into her eyes.

Both are in a trance as they look at each other, neither one notices anything around them. They lean in closer to each other slowly, still in a daze until their lips finally touch. They realize now what is happening but they love it, both feel a passion and energy that they never felt before as they kiss each other tenderly and lovingly.

"That proves it, they were made for each other." Violet whispers to Hunter while giggling slightly.

"I couldn't agree more." He replies with amusement.

Ray gently pulls away from the kiss and looks at Hunter with a smirk on his face. "Now who's jealous?" He teases.

"I'm not jealous, me and violet kissed first remember?" Hunter retorts.

"Yeah, but it wasn't as passionate."

"Says who?" Hunter grumbles while Ray wraps an arm around Rose's shoulders and pulls her close causing her to blush slightly.

"Does this mean you guys are together now?" Violet suddenly asks excitedly.

"No relationship yet Vi. He's just getting a chance to prove himself. Once he does then we will be together." Rose replies while absentmindedly snuggling him.

"I know he will prove himself quickly Rose and I know you want him to because you're snuggling him already. I've never seen you so comfortable with a guy." Violet teases with a smile.

Rose just blushes and hides her face in Ray's chest causing him to laugh at her and hug her closely.
