Chapter Nine - Bother Mine
Sherlock glared at Mycroft's back as they walked down the hall. They made their way to the car where they could speak in privacy. They got into the car and Mycroft looked at Sherlock expectingly.
"What?" Sherlock snapped.
"I am just wondering how you are taking all of this." Mycroft said watching his brother carefully.
"Are you asking me how I'm feeling brother mine?" Sherlock seethed. "Surely you can just deduce it!"
Mycroft took one look at Sherlock's face and knew what he meant.
"You are very upset." Mycroft remarked.
"Really what gave it away?! Perhaps the fact that my...that Keyland was imprisoned with that...Monster, for six years. Or maybe the fact that you assumed she was dead instead of trying to find her!!" Sherlock yelled.
"You really think that we just left her? Richard Brooke left no paper trail and she was not seen on cameras for the entirety of those six years." Mycroft sighed.
"I can tell you one thing for sure Mycroft. The next time I see Richard Brooke I will not hesitate. I will kill him."
Mycroft let out a heavy sigh.
"I know and I don't blame you." He replied.
"Do you think Euros would have known where she was?" Sherlock asked looking out the window at the rain covered trees.
"Possibly." Mycroft agreed.
The two brothers were silent for a moment, then Mycroft spoke up.
"The important thing right now would be gauging Keyland's mental state." Mycroft said logically.
"How would we do that?" Sherlock asked looking back to the worried face of his brother.
"Remember brother mine that all the resources of London are at my disposal." Myc bragged.
Sherlock looked at him wanly.
"Before she was captured by Moriarty. She had... friends. One such was a professor who has a friend specializes in neurotoxins and other things of the sort. So we have made contact with him and will be meeting them soon." Myc said.
"So what now?" Asked Sherlock as he slumped into his seat.
"Now... you take Keyland home. To baker street." Mycroft said with a hardly concealed smile.
Sherlock sighed as a slow smile spread across his face. "I will happily do that, brother dear."
