Chapter 2
~Roman~
"Lela, What the heck are you doing here?" I yelled.
"I came here to see you," She smiled, walking over to me.
"And I told you we are done," I hissed.
"NO, We are not done," Lela said, crossing her arms.
"You cheated on me and you think playing dumb is the best way to get me to like you again. Then you are so wrong. Now, get out of my house," I said, pointing at the door. Lela pouted and walked slowly out of my apartment. I close my door when I remember him.
~Virgil~
Roman Prince just left my café/coffee and book shop. I couldn't believe I actually talked to him. I looked over towards Remy who was just finishing whipping down some tables.
"I can't believe a celebrity was actually in my shop," I whispered to myself. It was about one o'clock in the afternoon. The rain lighten up a bit since this morning. I looked outside and saw a whole group of people crowded outside with Lela Vince walking in.
"Can I help you miss?" I asked.
"Do you have chocolate here?" She asked.
"Um... maybe in the café?" I said, looking over to Remy.
"Yeah we have chocolate," Remy said, walking towards us.
"Thanks," She said, walking towards the café. I saw people entering the building to get a picture with Lela but who wouldn't. I sighed thinking of Roman Prince wondering what he is doing.
"Um... Excuse me sir. Can we asked you a few questions?" a guy said with a mic in his hand.
"No, now can you please leave my store?" I kindly asked them to leave. They nodded and left. I felt my anxiety was kicking in. I looked over at Remy. He nodded. I put a sign on the counter and went up stairs to my apartment. I shut the door and slid down it. I was trying to calm down but nothing is working. My breathing became fast pace and shallow. It was the worse one that I had in months. I looked down trying to stable my breathing.
About thirty maybe an hour, I have finally calm down. I fixed my clothes and hair and went back down stairs and saw Remy at both cashier and barista. I slowly make my way to the cashier spot. I finished out the rest of the day with no problems.
"So what happened, Verge?" Remy asked while cleaning up.
"Reports," I said, counting the money from both shops.
"Yeah, not use to the city where celebrity lives," Remy stated.
"I just moved here yesterday. So, of course not," I added finishing the money counts and put in the computer and placing the money in the vault.
"So, when the accountant coming here again," he asked.
"Um... Friday," I said, remembering the date.
"Nice well I'm heading home. Goodnight Verge," Remy said, waving his hand as he left the building. I finished locking up and went up to my house.
~Morning Roman~
"I got up and went to Storm Clouds to pick up some breakfast . I walked into the café and saw Virgil running the café part to day.
"Good morning, Roman, what can I get ya?" He asked.
"Um... let's see here I will take a Carmel Storm Mocha with a breakfast sandwich also a bagel," I said giving him my order.
"Okay, that be $10.50," Virgil said. I gave him my card. he rang me up and went off to make my drink.
"So, where is the other guy?" I asked him.
"Remy, he will be in here at 10," he said causally.
"So, your working both parts?" I asked, leaning on the counter.
"Yeah, I just hope no reporters show up," Virgil said, coming back towards me.
"Reporters was here yesterday?" I said, confused on why.
"Um... Lela Vince was here. She looked upset for some reason," Virgil rolled his eyes.
"I know why," I said, mostly to myself.
"Okay, shoot then," Virgil said, looking at me dead in the eyes.
"She cheated on me. Then she had the nervous on showing up at my place and acting like it never happened," I said, getting angry.
"Yeah, I hear ya," Virgil said.
"So, why did you move into the city?" I asked. I saw him flinch.
"Nothing that celebrity like you would understand," he said walking to the front counter to help an mother and a four year-old girl. I smiled at him. Virgil is a mystery to me and I want to solve it.
~Virgil~
I could feel someone staring at me. I looked round the shop and my eyes landed on Roman. He was staring at me. I felt myself blushing and I quickly looked away. I walked back to the café and started doing orders. I still feel the eyes on me. I heard someone opened the door and thank god, it's Remy.
"Whoa you seem busy," Remy said, looking around the shop.
"Yep," I said, handing someone their drink.
"How long?" he asked.
"Since 8," I said, checking someone out.
"Really, this is crazy and it happened because of yesterday," Remy stated.
"Yeah but at least I'm getting business," I shrugged, I looked over towards Roman's table and saw that he wasn't there. I walked over to clean it up and saw a note. I picked up and read it. It was just a number.
"What's that?" Remy asked.
"I don't know," I said, looking closely at the paper then it hit me, "I think I might know what it is," I said.
"What then?" he asked, taking the paper from my hand.
"Roman Prince's number," I said, taking back the paper.
"Why would he give you his number?" Remy asked.
"I don't have a clue," I said, shrugging my shoulder. We looked at each other for a minute and started laughing, "Stupid to think a celebrity would give me their number," I chuckled.
"It would be strange if he did," he said, wrapping his arm around me.
"Yeah, it would," I smiled at him. I walked back to my post.
"So, did Lela Vince really come in here," a lady asked.
"Yes, she was here yesterday," I said calmly.
"Have any other celebs came in here?" She asked.
"No," I lied.
"Okay," the lady said sadly. I nodded and she walked over to the café. I looked towards Remy. I rolled my eyes and continue working.
~Roman~
I left the Strom Clouds and headed to work but I left my phone number for Virgil. He might think it's a joke. I think he might get curious and call the number. Well, I hope. I arrived at the set.
"Good morning," I said to my manger.
"Well, your here early," He said.
"Yeah I was at the new café," I said, looking down at their signer cup.
"Nice cup," He said, looking down at it.
"Yeah, it's really cool," I smiled. My manger looked at me and then to the cup.
"Well, I'm glad you find a place to relax before work beside staying at home," he said, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah," I said, smiling at the thought of the cashier.
"I guess you like someone who works there," my manger said teasingly.
"Okay maybe, but you can't blame a guy," I said smiling.
"Mr. I can get anyone I want," He said jokingly.
"I didn't want to date Lela in the first place," I growled.
"I know but the press and business-,"
"I don't care about that. I just want to date who I want to date and do my job that I work so hard to get," I cut off my manger.
"I know," He said.
"Well I see that my actor is here," said the director.
"Yeah, I'm here," I stated.
"Oh my where did you get that cup at?" he asked.
"Umm... there is a coffee shop/ café about two blocks from here," I said.
"What is it called?" the director asked.
"Storm Clouds," I said without thinking to hard.
"Really? That's a cool name for a coffee shop," he said, writing it down, "Okay but back on task we got go through the lines today," the director added.
"Yep," I said, heading to inside the building. We took about three hours going through lines before taking a break which I decided to headed back to Storm Clouds.
