PART 18
Kabir was taken aback when Dadi informed him about Vansh's critical condition. Despite his resentment towards his brother, memories of their shared childhood flooded back. Vansh had always taken the blame whenever Kabir made a mistake.
"Are you sure, Dadi?" Kabir asked, his voice trembling.
"Yes, dear. He's in the ICU," Dadi replied falling unconscious, not able to bear her grandson's state.
Sia rushed to Dadi's side and picked up the phone.
"Hello?" she answered.
Kabir froze when he heard his sister's voice.
"S...Sia?" he cried as he had heard his sister talking to him after a very long time.
"Inspector... I mean, ACP Kabir, my brother is fighting for his life," Sia said tersely before hanging up. She turned to her biological mother, Anupriya.
"Maa, should we go to Mussoorie?" she asked.
"No, darling. Let them come here. Angre is with him," Anupriya replied, tears streaming down her face. Anupriya cried and looked at the caller id. She would not have forgiven Kabir if Sia had not been able to walk like before. She dialed his number
"Hello?" she said, her voice choked with emotion.
"Maa?" Kabir responded, stepping back in surprise. It had been three years since they last spoke.
"Sia can walk again," Anupriya said, her voice trying to mask all the emotions running through her.
"Maa, I've stopped drinking," Kabir replied, sobbing and pleading for her forgiveness.
Anupriya remembered the day Sia had her accident. She was in a terrible state. Kabir's hatred for Vansh, fueled by Ragini's death, had led him to drink excessively. He had driven recklessly with Sia in the car, resulting in an accident. He escaped unscathed, but Sia was left paralyzed. Vansh had banished him from their lives for his reckless behavior. The thought of what could have happened to her daughter still haunted her.
She felt a sense of peace when she saw Sia dancing gracefully to the tune of 'Pinga'.
"Vansh is in the hospital, ACP Kabir," Anupriya said, her voice breaking.
"He killed my Ragini," Kabir retorted.
"You've destroyed your own family," Anupriya shot back before hanging up.
Kabir took a deep breath, trying to compose himself.
"Mishra," he called out.
"Yes, boss?"
"Let's head to Mussoorie," he said, leaving his cabin.

Vansh slowly sat up, leaning back against the soft hospital pillow. The sterile smell of the hospital was overwhelming, the scent of cleaners and sanitizers making him feel nauseous.
"Boss, are you alright? Do you have any idea who tried to attack you?" Angre asked, his voice filled with concern.
Vansh remained silent for a few moments, gathering his thoughts. Then, he spoke in a quiet voice, "Those bullets...they were intended for Riddhima."
Angre's eyes widened in shock. He realized that someone must have discovered Riddhima's true identity as Ridan Rajvansh's daughter. But who could it be?
"But...but..." Angre stammered, but Vansh cut him off.
"We need to find out who the attacker is. From what I can tell, the bullets were aimed at Riddhima's heart and lungs," Vansh said, his voice steady despite the gravity of the situation.
Angre swallowed hard, the reality of the situation sinking in.
"They...they intend to kill her," Angre said, his voice barely above a whisper, the words heavy with dread.

Aakash was left bewildered when he spotted an unfamiliar woman at door number 205.
"Dad, I swear I'm not making this up. She's alive. I saw her," Aakash pleaded, his voice filled with confusion.
"You're acting like a fool, Aakash," His father, Reyansh, retorted, lightly smacking his son's head in exasperation.
"I traveled all the way from Delhi only to listen to your absurd stories. Are you hallucinating about your cousin who was tragically poisoned right after her birth? Are you serious? Do you take me for a fool?" Reyansh scolded his son, his voice laced with disbelief and annoyance.
"Why didn't you take a picture of her as proof?" Reyansh questioned.
"But Dad, you've always told me that it's wrong to take pictures of girls without their consent," Aakash responded, his voice trailing off.
"You naive boy!" Reyansh sighed, giving his son a gentle tap on the shoulder.
Aakash then turned to his father, his expression serious, "We need to find her, Dad..."
Reyansh nodded in agreement, realizing the gravity of the situation.

Kabir arrived at the hospital where his brother, Vansh, had been admitted. He saw Riddhima sitting by Vansh's side, which brought back memories of his time with Ragini, the only woman he had ever loved. He couldn't understand why his brother had tried to take everything away from him.
"Why, brother? Why did you do this to me?" Kabir lamented, tears streaming down his face. He left without meeting Vansh, but on his way out, he bumped into someone.
"Ishani?" he muttered, only to receive a slap across his face.
"You deserve it, you fool," she retorted, "You put my Sunny behind bars. I swear, you'll pay for this."
"But Ishani, Sunny is a pervert. Do you know what he did to Riddhima?" Kabir tried to explain.
"I refuse to believe this," Ishani shouted, turning away from him.
"Don't let love blind you, Ishani. Don't make a fool of yourself," Kabir warned.
"The same goes for you, Kabir. Don't let your love for Ragini blind you to the feelings of your family," Ishani shot back.
"Don't you dare speak about Ragini. I love her and will always love her," Kabir declared.
"And your so-called brother murdered her. She was innocent. Vansh is a criminal," Kabir sobbed, wiping away his tears.
"I don't want to talk to fools like you. Get lost," Ishani retorted, flipping her hair and walking towards the reception.
Ishani was certain that Vansh would never harm his family. For him, family had always been his top priority. After their father's death, Vansh had taken on the responsibility of the family. Even though they were wealthy, only Vansh was there to provide emotional support and love to everyone equally. Kabir was just an ungrateful person, and that was all she could say about the despicable ACP.
"ACP Kabir was here," Ishani said, rolling her eyes. She looked at Riddhima, who was peacefully sleeping next to Vansh's bed.
She picked up a glass of water, intending to pour it on Riddhima's head, when Vansh stopped her.
"Ishani, let her rest. She's been awake all night," he said.
"But brother, she should be taking care of you. You've been shot. It's not a normal thing. And look at her, she's not worried at all."
"She's been crying all night. I'm sorry for the interruption, ma'am," Angre interjected.
"Apologizing after interrupting, huh? Not bad. How are you feeling now, brother?" she asked Vansh.
Vansh nodded and closed his eyes, thinking about the incidents that had happened from the beginning. Ishani left the room, and Angre stayed. ACP Kabir returned to the room and opened the door.
"So, nice plan, huh? Getting shot to gain sympathy from your wife? I thought she had left you," Kabir said, sitting in front of him.
"So, I've come here as an ACP. Do you have any suspects?" he asked.
Vansh looked at Angre and shook his head.
"Which means you must have asked someone to shoot you so that you can..." Kabir was cut off.
"If you've already solved the case, then you may leave. I need some rest," Vansh said, closing his eyes while Angre escorted Kabir out of Vansh's room.
"Stop it, Angre," Kabir said, trying to break free from Angre's grip.
"Relax, Kabir. The bullets were meant for Riddhima. Someone tried to kill her," Angre whispered.
"What?" Kabir asked, shocked.
"But who? And why are you telling me all this? You're Vansh Raisinghania's right-hand man, right?"
"Exactly, he needs your help to find the shooter. We think the same person murdered the old man, Mukund."
"Vansh murdered Mukund," Kabir said, frowning.
"He did not. Will you put your ego aside and help us out?" Angre asked.
